I had my Rockets dynasty started for a season before I decided to post them here. I'm currently in my 2nd season and still going... Here are some information on the past 2004-2005 season and updates during the 2005 off-season...

:!: PC/ All-star/ Superstar - 7mins [play] - 10mins [sim] - fgrep15's sliders

 The start of the 04-05 season welcomed the entries of All-Star and former scoring champion Tracy McGrady, Juwan Howard, Tyronn Lue and Reece Gaines that sent Steve Francis, Cuttino Mobley and Kelvin Cato to Orlando.

 After this blockbuster trade, the Rockets have signed guards Bob Sura and Charlie Ward, General Manager Carroll Dawson announced. Sura and Ward, who played together at Florida State from 1991-94, bring a combined 19 years of NBA experience to the Rockets backcourt.

"Charlie and Bob give us valuable veteran leadership in the backcourt," Dawson said. "We can rely on them to offer both effort and consistency. We are delighted to have hard-working role players like Charlie and Bob to provide support to our All-Star nucleus of Yao Ming and Tracy McGrady."

 The Rockets have acquired center Dikembe Mutombo from the Chicago Bulls in exchange for guards Adrian Griffin, Eric Piatkowski and Mike Wilks, General Manager Carroll Dawson announced. Mutombo stands as the only four-time recipient of the NBA Defensive Player of the Year award.

“With the addition of Dikembe, we have bolstered our interior defense and rebounding,” Dawson said. “Deke has had a long distinguished career, but can still contribute on a nightly basis. We feel fortunate to be adding him to our team.”

After a not-so-good season with the Magic, McGrady vowed to take the Rockets to new heights. True enough, aside from taking the slam dunk championship, he also lead the league in scoring again with 25.4 points per game, winning the MVP award.

During the season, I traded Andre Barrett(I think) for the 1st Japanese player, Yuta Tabuse. I plan to use him as reliever for Lue/Ward. Actually I also signed Mengke Bateer but he was placed IR due to roster space. More asian players... :D (Kindly refer to image clip for Rocket's 04-05 season)

Image

I have scouted a number of C and SF during the season. I concentrated on C, the fact I anticipate that Deke is going to retire SOON... indeed... he did! I was able to draft Bashiri Long, 7'5, 245 lbs monster... :D

Image Image
Image

I also scouted a good 7'1 SF named Colin Sanders but was not able to draft him because he was picked #9 by Chicago. He would be my prospect for trade in the upcoming season...

Currently, I'm on my 2nd season with Deke retired, Padget/Weatherspoon/Bowen on the FA list... and an 11-0 record to start with it :D

I'll post box scores on Orl-Hou, Utah-Hou, and Pho-Hou games.

 With Yao fouling out early in the 4th quarter, Howard stepped up and Tmac had yet another good night, scoring 19 of his 29 points in the 4th. His last 2 points came where the Rockets need it most. Magic leading 92-91 with 8 seconds remaining in the clock, inbound pass by Jackson to Tmac...

UTAH (72) - HOUSTON (92)

 Nightmares has haunted the Rockets with Tmac scoring only 7 points and Jim Jackson scoring 5 due to foul trouble were non-factors in this game, although Rockets didn't trail in the game. Thanks to Tyronne Lue who picked up the slack with 23 big points.

 News saying Bob Sura has issues with the management since the opening of the season and has demanded a trade. For the past week, trade talks with different teams has been happening, and has finally come to an end with Chicago Bulls as part of the deal.

Image
I was able to get Bulls' 9th pick 7'1 SF Colin Sanders [57] for Sura [70]!!!

PHOENIX (70) - HOUSTON (74)

 Houston's starters has over came a late rally by Phoenix in the final quarter. With the new comer, Sanders still finding his way through the team's system, only scored 3 points in 10 mins.

Image
Image

 Rockets' Head Coach Jeff Van Gundy has released the team's new line-up as of December 9, 2005. The rookie, Sanders, will take a higher role as the starting SF while Jim Jackson will be playing off the bench. "This will add depth to our team and will give more experience/ exposure to Colin as well" said Van Gundy.

IND (76) - HOU (89)

 Tmac has once again carried the team on his shoulders scoring 42 big points to give Houton its 13th straight win of the season. Being the only Rocket in double figures while the rest of the team had balance attack on the Pacers. Rookie Sanders did a good job on Defensive Player Ron Artest, limiting him to only 8 points. Pacers had big games from O'Neal and newcomer Jackson but was not enough to hold off the Rockets.

LAKERS ENDS ROCKETS STREAK @ 13
LAL (78) - HOU (68)

 Shots weren't going down for Houston as the Lakers paraded a victory at the Staples Center ending Rockets winning streak of 13. Houston were only shooting a measley 37.7% and made untimely turnovers as Butler scored 11 of his 18 points during the final quarter.

Image Image Image
McGrady had a normal night but did not get enough support from the team (Left); Kobe added burden to the Rockets (Center); and LAL rookie Welpi launched a 3-pointer at buzzer

I think the team really didnt blend well yet in real life.. and Yao isnt playing consistent at all... specially during road games. I hope they'd get through it and make a run as well...

what do you mean by this?
i suppose you could edit the dynasty and add yi jianlian (eligable for draft), Chen Jianghua (born in 88, so no), or any of these guys from the addias supercamp in shanghai that formed over the summer
http://nbadraft.net/shanghairoster.asp

---
or are you looking for nlsc memebers?
be sweet to add more asians to the league.
what about that korean center that got drafted by portland? and also the asians playing in the nbdl, there are many possibilities.

McGrady had 10 assists, Yao had 14 rebounds, and both had 28 points a piece to lead the game. Yao held Shaq to a season-low of 7 points and 6 rebound to win the matchup.
