Going to start a Dynasty with my all time favorite team, tomorrow though since its very late right now, just getting the topic ready, here are the settings if you must know :P

Quarter Lenght: 10 mins
Sim Quarter Lenght: 12 mins
Difficulty: Superstar
82 game season

That's about it, right? I'll most likely play an average of 2 games a day, more only if I'm ultra bored.

Now time to see if Hill's comeback is finally for real

The Orlando Magic head into the season.

The Magic face the Bucks at home, its season opener for both teams and they will both be looking for a win here.

The Magic coming off a 21-61 season will be eager to tally on the wins as soon as they can, but the Bucks cannot be discarded as just another scrub, they are expected to fight hard for the game as well.

Dwight Howard will have his regular season debut and eyes are on Grant Hill as he gears up for a regular season game coming off bad injury ridden years, while newly added trio of Francis, Mobley and Cato get ready to give the fans a show.

Magic Starters

SF - G. Hill
SG - C. Mobley

The Magic start off with the right foot.

The Magic came out victorious over the Bucks on their season opener on a high scoring action packed game.

Redd started off virtually unstopable as he tallied 12 points in the first quarter while his team only had 14, Desmond Mason was injured in the first quarter in a collision against Grant Hill that had Magic fans at the edge of their seats, team doctors say the injury is not very serious and he would be able to return later in the game.

At the half the Magic trail the Bucks by 3 as the game stands at 50 - 47, Key players so far would be Keith Van Horn for the bucks standing at 13 PTS and 3 rebs, but sporting an amazing .800 fg% while shooting 3/3 from the 3 point line.

For the Magic the key player has been Dwight Howard standing at 14 pts, 7 rebs and 2 blocks, Magic fans should be feeling really good that the organization seemingly made the right pick in the draft.

Francis came out of the locker room early for the shoot around claiming he has to step it up for this second half of the game.

Second half started with the bucks extending their lead, but the magic had no problems getting back into the game late in the 3rd quarter, The bucks did an ok job shooting 6 for 19 for .316% from the three point line, but the Magic were able to keep up with it hitting 6 of their 20 3 point attempts for the game.

The Magic came into the 4th quarter with the will to win making a nice run led mostly by Francis who finished the game with 24 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists.

Image
Francis going for the dunk over a sore Mason in the 3rd

Player of the Game

honors were given to rookie sensation Dwight Howard who had an amazing debut game tallying up 24 points 14 rebounds and 2 blocks.

We caught him in the tunnel and this is what he had to say about his performance.

"You just go out there and play the game, its what I've been though, I didnt even realize i had this many points untill it was late in the 3rd and the arena announcer was talking about it, it got me a bit nervous" - Dwight Howard

The future looks bright for Orlando and their Magic.

Recap

Postby Zen on Mon Nov 01, 2004 3:49 pm

Hornets have big star, lacked sting.

Hornets started with a slump in the first quarter as the Magic went on an 8-2 run in the early minutes of the game, Baron Davis was getting his, but surprisingly did not see any minutes at the PG spot during the first half, he would be the key player at the half for the Hornets standing at 13 points and 5 rebounds, only dishing 1 assist.

Dwight Howard seems to be having another stellar game being the key player at the half for the Magic with 14 points, 6 rebs, 2 steals and 1 block.

"The kid is so much better than I or anyone else expected him to be at this point in his career, its scary to think what he might become as the years go by" - Johnny Davis (Magic Coach) on this year's 1st pick.

Mobley seemed cold, shooting 2 for 9 from the field at half, he attributes this to Baron Davis's stellar defense on him. "They guy sticks to me like a stamp!" - Cutino Mobley

At the half the Magic lead the hornets by 1

Image 40 Image 39

Mobley was being abused in the 3rd by Davis which forced the Magic to bench mobley and play Francis at the 2 for the rest of the game

Image
Davis as he swipes the ball from mobley and runs the break

Jameer came off and took over the point nicely starting with back to back steals and a nice off reb for second chance points. While Davis still seemed unstopabble playing amazingly well on both sides of the court no matter who the Magic placed on him, the 3rd quarter would close with Davis sporting 28 points.

On the 4th the Hornets trend continues as davis would blaze orlando up to finish with a game high 43 points while holding mobley at 7 points and Francis at 14, Francis was still able to dish out 9 assist mostly due to Dwight Howard's amazing step up at tonight's game.

Dwight Howard

Again and with big reason honors go to Dwight howard as he led the magic in scoring with 38 points while also shipping in 9 rebounds and 4 steals.

"He took control of the game, he seemed pretty nervous out there as we counted on him for some big shots in the final minutes, but the kid's got it, he is one sick dunker too" - Steve Francis on D. Howard's performance.

Game 3
Nov. 6 2004

Image at Image

Magic take a flight back east to face the Bobcats (0-1) at Charlotte, media and fans alike expect the Magic to cruise through this game as per obvious match up advantages, but you never know what this young team migh bring to the table.

Dwight Howard will face 2004's projected 1st draft pick Emeka Okafor for the the first time in the season, it should be an interesting match up even though its nowhere near last year's lebron/anthony match ups.

On a sidenote there has been talk of a trade being underway between both teams that would send Magic's young swingman Keith Bogans to Charlotte in exchange for Brandon Hunter. We will reveal details of the trade when it goes down.

Magic Starters

C - K. Cato
PF - D. Howard
SF - G. Hill
SG - C. Mobley
PG - S. Francis

Bobcats Starters

C - P. Brezec
PF - E. Okafor
SF - G. Wallace
SG - J. Kapono

Recap

Postby Zen on Tue Nov 02, 2004 10:07 am

Magic had field day at Charlotte.

Magic went into charlotte and played a game that felt like practice to them, the Bobcats were just allowing points everywhere with very loose defense, at the half Francis being the key player for the Magic has not missed a shot going 8 for 8 from the field (half of these are dunks) is now at 16 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists. Key player for the Cats would be Gerald Wallace who stands at 8 points 1 reb and 2 assists as the game stands at:

Image 49 Image 39

Image
Mobley has had the hot hand shooting 4/5 from downtown at the half

The game continued and even though the Bobcats did better themselves up slightly past the half, the Magic still were as hot as ever shooting .583% from the 3 point line at the end of the 3rd (7/12). It didnt look very good for the bobcats

The Magic sat down both mobley and francis at the beggining of the 4th and they would see no more game time in favor of giving minutes to their bench and avoid injury when they shouldnt be out there.

Bobcats had a nice defensive stretch on the final quarter playing against Orlando's second squad, but the Magic were still able to keep the Cats at bay with some nice looks at the basket.

Player of the Game

Dwight Howard

Once again, and this seems to be becoming a trend, honors were given out to rookie Dwight Howard who had 17 points, 9 rebs, 3 blocks, and 3 assists.

When asked about his performance he had this to add. "I personally dont think i deserved player of the game honors, if anyone deserved this tonight, id give it to Mobley, you dont see a guard shooting .600% from the field, and an even better .697% from the 3 point line everyday, thank you."
-Dwight Howard on the player of the game honors.

Trade Info

Postby Zen on Tue Nov 02, 2004 10:25 am

Bogans has been traded.

The Orlando Magic have acquired forward Brandon Hunter from the Charlotte Bobcats in exchange for guard Keith Bogans, General Manager John Weisbrod announced today.

“We obviously have a number of backcourt players and a great deal of versatility in regard to our swing position players,” said Weisbrod. “With this move we are able to add another ‘big’ to our depth. Brandon (Hunter) is a fierce rebounder, particularly on the offensive end, and a tough physical player. We feel running, as we are, is toughest on big men."

“Even before I was GM, I played a large part in drafting Keith,” added Weisbrod. “I like him a lot and know he will have a solid NBA career ahead of him. Going to Charlotte, he will have the opportunity to get a good number of minutes and display his skills in what is his contract year.”

Out of character comments: This is copy pasted from the actual Magic site, the trade actually happened and i replicated it in my dinasty, imo bobcats got the better end of this deal, but oh well :P

If you use PRNTSCRN aren't you only allowed to take one screenshot? Is there a way to minimize the game.

Game 4
Nov. 9 2004

- 3 - 1 ------ 3 - 0 -

The Magic looking to keep their winning streak going will fly back home and face the Dallas Mavericks who are 3 - 1 for the season. The Mavericks will be playing without superstar Dirk Nowitski who has been sidelined since their first game (Nov. 2) with a sore thumb.

Magic are expected to capitalize on Nowitzki not being there for this game, so another good performance from rookie sensation Dwight Howard would come as no surprise tonight.

PG - S. Francis

Mavericks Starters

And the Streak keeps going!

The Mavericks were feeling their main man's abssence in the early minutes of the game as the Magic would be up by 5 at the end of the 1st quarter. Things wouldnt look much better for them as they would be trailing only by 3 at the half but still playing mediocre, unorganized basketball.

Francis has been the Key player for the Magic as he has tallied 10 points and an amazing 7 assists by the half of the game, while the key player for the Mavs would be Henderson with only 4 points and 7 rebounds.

Image 47 Image 50

"We must really step up our game if we want to come out of here with the win tonight, we arent doing so hot on defense, we are allowing too many open shots"
- Jerry Stackhouse of the Dallas Mavericks

Image
Francis on his way to the basket

By the end of the 3rd quarter even though Dallas did step up their offense, their defense remained lax and loose, which left things about the same way, but slightly faster paced, this has been a very offensive minded game from both teams.

The Mavs werent planning to give it up just yet, and were ahead for the first time in the game with 5 minutes to go by 1 point (89 - 88) but the Magic were able to amount back to a 6 point lead in a matter of minutes, the Magic now with 4 people in double figures (pts).

The Mavs tried fighting back into the game in the final 3 minutes, but they were unable to get anything going, while the Magic seemed to get hotter from the field and Mobley hitting back to back 3's, that should have been a big hit to Mavs morale right there, Mavs seemed to have given up.

Steve Francis

Steve Francis was big on both end of the courts tonight, scoring 22 points, dishing 11 assists and getting 2 steals as the icing of the cake.

We met him at the tunnel and he had this to add "What can I say, they gave me open lanes to the basket, I guess i just took em, but you dont just thank me, thank my team mates for being at the right spot at the right time"
- Steve Francis on his performance

You gotta hate it when something good blows up in your face....

to make a long story short, my save file got corrupt guys... and I had to lose it basically, I do promise i will indeed Restart the Dinasty up as soon as Ben or Andrew release opening day rosters since it would make for a much better experience, i would like to thank you guys who liked this and kept me interested in updating it, I would love it if you guys would give me suggestions, if there is anything you would like me to change for when i re-start the dinasty eventually (maybe even diff team suggestions but itll be hard to get me away from magic :P)

Anyways, sorry...
