[...Washington Wizards Dynasty...] [...Year 1...]

Postby Muggsy#6 on Mon May 17, 2004 9:05 pm

Iam new on this forum and i want to start right away with a Washington Wizards dynasty. I play 10 mins. per quarter superstar level.

My roster before trainingcamp is:

C Etan Thomas 6.10
C Brendan Haywood 7.0
Pf Kwame Brown 6.11
Pf Christian Laettner 6.11
Pf Lonny Baxter 6.8
Sf Jerry Stackhouse 6.6
Sf Jared Jeffries 6.11
Sf Jarvis Hayes 6.7
Sg Larry Hughes 6.5
Sg Mitchel Butler 6.5
Sg Juan Dixon 6.3 (I consider him a Sg like he was on maryland)
Pg Gilbert Arenas 6.3
Pg Chris Whitney 6.0
Pg Steve Blake 6.3

Players that i want to keep;

Gilbert Arenas, Larry Hughes and Kwame Brown

Manager SVB makes his first move!!!!
The Washington Wizards made their first move of the season that landed rookie Lebron James ad Big men Dasagano Diop in Washington and Jerry Stackhouse and Brendan Haywood in Cleveland.

Manager Svb on the trade:
We are very pleased with this trade although we have lost a great player in Jerry Stackhouse but we think that Lebron and Diop can contribute more in the future then Jerry and Brendan we wish them al the best in Cleveland

Newly Acquired wizards Lebron James on the Trade
Im very Pleased to play in this young and talented team with gilbert Arenas and Etan Thomas. And i hope we can make it to the Play-offs this year.

If u have any suggestions please feel free to post it.

Nice pick up with James and Diop. They add alot of youth to your lineup. Will you be starting James or Arenas at SG?

A couple of hours before the wizards game vs the NY knicks Manager SVb Traded Guard Larry Hughes and Center Dasagano Diop to the Memphis Grizzlies for Forward Shane Battier and Center Jake Tsakalidis After this trade Big jake was immediately released.

Coach Eddy Jordan on the trade
With Shane Battier in i think we have one of the most talentfull teams of the eastern conference.

Shane battier on the trade
I think i can develope myself more here in washington then in Memphis i think with this team we will surprise a lot of people in and around the league.

Yeah dude nice line-up now, but maybe you should start Hayes at SF over JJ, but i guess you got Batman now, Anyway how big a role is Hayes gonna play for you?? I've found he is very reliable in my Heat Dynasty so far.

Hayes will start as a 6 man getting minutes at the Sf and the Sg position
he will get between the 18 - 22 minutes per game.

Wizards Win 1st Game Of the season

With newly acquired wizards James, Arenas and Battier in the starting lineup the wizards were ready for ther 1st big test of the season against the NY knicks.

1st Quarter
The 1st quarter was al about defense for the wizards. The offense didn't work well in the 1st quarter (Arenas shooting 2-6, james 3-8 and battier 1-4) but the defense did very well. Etan Thomas was grabbing 5 boards en blocked 2 shots and Kwame Brown grabbed 4 rebounds en managed to steal 3 balls.
Score after 1 quarter was 20-19 for the wizards

Top Players Wizards:

Points: 7 Lebron James
Assists: 2 Gilbert Arenas
Rebounds: 5 Etan Thomas

Top Players Knicks:

Points: 6 Allan Houston
Assists: 3 Starbury
Rebounds: 3 Nazr Mohammed

2nd quarter
The 2nd quarter would be the battle of the pointguards. Starbury and Arenas each scoring 12 points on 5-7 shooting. But the main factor for this quarter was Lebron James. With less then a minute to go he scored back to back three's wil grabbing 3 rebounds en blocking 1 shot. The Only bad thing that happened was that with 3 minutes left Kwame Brown left the game with a injury (only out for the game)
Score after 2 quarters 43-39 for the wizards

Top players Wizards:

Points: 17 Gilbert Arenas & Lebron James
Assists: 5 Gilbert Arenas
Rebounds: 7 Kwame Brown

Top Players Knicks

Points: 16 Starbury
Assists: 4 Starbury
Rebounds: 5 Tim Thomas & Nazr Mohammed

1st Half recap:

I think i did a pretty good job in the first half the only thing that wasn't very good is my 3 point shooting 4-13. There was 1 thing that suprised my; the all around play from james and battier (James: 17 pts, 4 rebs 4 ass. & Battier 8 pts 5 rebs 4 ass.) it was very dissapointed that kwame brown is out of the game he had a pretty good game so far (6 pts 7 rebs 3 blocks)

3rd quarter
The wizards came out on fire in the 3rd quarter shooting 8-13 in the first 3.5 minutes. Battier, who wasn't a big factor on points in the first half scored 9 points in that scoring run wile arenas dishing out 4 assists. The knicks came out cold only shooting 3-18 in the first 3.5 minutes. but the last 2 minutes where the minutes of Allan Houston shooting 3-3 from 3 point range & 4-4 from the charitystripe. After 3 quarters the score was still pretty close; 67-59

Top players wizards

Points: 21 Lebron James
Assists: 9 Arenas
Rebounds: 8 Etan Thomas

Top players Knicks

Points: 21 Houston
Assists: 6 Starbury
Rebounds: 6 Nazr Mohammed

4th Quarter:
The 4th quarter was just awesome. The knicks looked like they already lost the game. I began with my starting five but after 2 minutes i substitute the whole team. And the bench players didn't disappoint me they outscored the Knicks starting five (24-12) Jeffries who now was the wizards 3rd Sf came out on fire scoring 9 points grabbing 4 rebounds and blocked 2 shots in 7 minutes of play!!!!
the final score was 109 - 76

Top Players Wizards:

Points: 23 Lebron James
Rebounds: 13 Etan Thomas
Assists: 11 Gilbert Arenas

Surpise Player: Jared Jeffries 9 pts 4 rebs 2 blks in 7 minutes of play

Top players knicks:

Points: 23 Starbury
Rebounds:7 Nazr Mohammed
Assists: 8 Starbury

Suprise Player: Nazr Mohammed 9 pts 7 rebs 6ass.

Player of the Game: Gilbert Arenas 20 pts 11 ass. 5 rebs 3 stls

Next Game vs Hawks (0-3) [/u][/b]
