All Star difficulty (with Super Star on All Star weekend and Finals game)

Trades:

Before the start of the season, the Wizards traded Kwame Brown, and Lonny Baxter to the Sonics for Vladimir Radmanovich and Reggie Evans.

The Wizards are not satisfied with Brown's development, and have traded him for a great backup man and rebounding specialist Reggie Evans. Reggie will be made a starter while Vlad provides excellent offense off the bench.

The Wizards have also traded Jerry Stackhouse to the Mavericks for Antoine Walker. Jerry Stackhouse has not impressed the fans in any way, shape, or form, and Walker's all around game has drawn the attention of the Wizards. The Wizards hope Walker will become a great asset to their team.

As of 4/25

Starters:
C: Brendan Haywood
Pf: Reggie Evans
Sf: Richard Jefferson
Sg: Larry Hughes
Pg: Gilbert Arenas

Bench:
Pf: Vladimir Radmanovich
C: Etan Thomas
Sf: Jarvis Hayes
Sf: Jared Jeffries
Sg: Juan Dixon
Sg: Brandon Armstrong
Pg: Chris Whitney

IR 1-Pg: Steve Blake

Antoine Walker

As the first game of the season kicks off, newly acclaimed Antoine Walker shows the Wizards why they traded for him. Walker has a great all around game. He can shoot the jumper, release a three, or even post up and dump the ball in for an easy basket.

The final score - 119 to 116

The game was very close. By the 2nd quarter, the Wizards had blown past the Bulls and were looking forward to a blowout. However, Kirk Hinrich was explosive all game long, and kept the team in the game. Near the end of the 4th, there were only 5.2 seconds left. Gilbert Arenas is the leader of this team, and he had to prove why he was. The ball was inbounded to Arenas after the final timeout, where he broke free off of Reggie Evans' pick, and unleashed a 3 pointer. It swished, with 0.8 on the clock, no more timeouts for either team. The Bulls threw up a desperation half court shot, but it missed everything but the floor, leaving the Wizards with the win. Vladimir Radmanovich's hot shooting was showing the team he was a decent 6th man, checking in when the Wizards needed to trade rebounds for points. This was a well deserved win.

Even though they lost, Kirk Hinrich performed so well, even more so that he is a rookie, that he earned player of the game honors.

Dude, I like your dynasty, I just didn't like your Kwame Brown trade.

If you make him a main piece (1st or 2nd option) he can go for 30/15 a game. When I was doing my Wizards dynasty, he was absolutely dominating.

Game 2

Player in Watch
Image
Antoine Walker

Antoine Walker shows once again why the Wizards traded for him. He has been a deciding factor in each game so far.

The final score - 127 to 122

Throughout the game, it seemed the Wizards were fighting a losing battle. The Wizards trailed by at least 10 since the beginning of the game. Nobody seemed to be connecting from 3 point land, not even Walker or Radmanovich. Gilbert Arenas also shot poorly from the field. Antoine Walker was plauged with foul trouble. There was a bright spot, however. Reggie Evans did his work, and managed to grab an unbelieveable 13 rebounds by the end of the 1st quarter. Walker was carrying his share of the scoreload, but was forced to sit through most of the 3rd due to foul trouble. Before the start of the 4th, Gilbert rallied his team to make a comeback from a 16 point deficit. Walker sat out the beginning of the 4th, with 5 fouls, as Arenas and Radmanovich scored consistently to keep the Wizards in the game. However, the Wizards were being killed by Tortonto's fast break. Whenever the Raptors got the ball, they sprinted back to the other end of the floor to get an easy basket. It was tough stopping them, and finally Reggie Evans was put back in to get the offensive boards. At the 6 minute mark, Walker was put back in, and the comeback gained momentum. The Wizards made a huge comeback to the point where they were up by 1 at the 1 minute mark, their first lead of the game. At this point, both teams traded baskets. Walker pulled a big three, but Carter answered at the other end. With 30 seconds left, the Wizards let the time run down, then dumped the ball to Walker, one of their crunch time performers. He was backing down his defender in the low post, Vince Carter, then pulled a fadeaway jumper and swished right in the hands of the defense. There were 10 seconds left on the clock, Wizards up by 3, 122 125 Walker went for a steal, and got all ball, but was called for a foul, and fouled out of the game. The Wizards weren't in the penalty, so the Raptors inbounded the ball again. Mo Peterson went for a 2 point jumper, but missed, and Evans got the board, was fouled, and ended up making both free throws, sealing this game for good.

Despite shooting only a 35% FG percentage, and a 16% 3 point percentage, Gilbert Arenas kept the Wizards in the game early in the 4th, and ralled the team to victory.

nice job. i also dont like ur kwame brown trade but ahwell. in live i would prefer to get ripped my self than ripping the pc

Sat Apr 24, 2004 9:13 am

i dont like your stackhouse deal for walker because walker sucks. he always get lucky on shots and he thinks he all that. he is one of my most hated nba players. I CANT BELIEVE U DID THAT!

Sat Apr 24, 2004 9:13 am

other than that great dynasty

Sat Apr 24, 2004 9:34 am

Yeah, I would have gone for anyone besides Walker, SF isn't even his position. :?

None the less, good job. (Y)

Sat Apr 24, 2004 2:39 pm

actually walker was going to play SF for Boston this season before they traded him. he lost quite a few (i think 20) pounds just to play there. i don't like walker's style of play either (mr jack the three), but i cannot deny that he is very good all around player and was the celtics' leader.

but interesting dynasty, keep it up! :)

Sat Apr 24, 2004 3:32 pm

I still reckon you shoulda kept Kwame

Sat Apr 24, 2004 4:08 pm

I don't know, Reggie's rebounding is a godsend.

Sat Apr 24, 2004 6:47 pm

Nice start. (Y) Arenas is putting up some nice numbers, particularly in the points column.

heh, but how is the rest of his game :P

andrew...come back here...i am stalking you now :P

Sat Apr 24, 2004 11:08 pm

Evan's may be pounding the boards, but if you wanted to, you could get atleast 12 boards a game with Kwame, and atleast 20 points. Just thinking about it makes me want to trade Carlos Boozer for Kwame, but I won't.

Sun Apr 25, 2004 7:28 am

Yeah but I want to make Evans the hustling bustling star, like Kurt Rambis.

Sun Apr 25, 2004 9:47 am

Trades:

Walker wants to be captain, gets traded instead-

Antoine Walker wanted to be the captain instead of Arenas, and said Arenas is simply too young to be the captain. The GM of the Wizards, however, disagreed. After some harsh words, a deal was made with New Jersey to trade a handful of players, Walker being one of them. Christian Laettner is no longer needed, doesn't play any games, and simply sits on the bench gathering money, so he has been traded too.

Washington Trades:
Antoine Walker
Christian Laettner
Mitchell Butler

New Jersey Trades:
Richard Jefferson
Brandon Armstrong

The Wizards look forward to developing Richard Jefferson into a fantastic player, and hope Brandon Armstrong's good shooting will help them when needed.

Richard Jefferson

Ironically, Richard Jefferson's first opponent on his new team is the one he came from. Jefferson had a solid game.

The final score - 135 to 118

Despite the final score, this game was very close. Gilbert Arenas was consistent throughout the game, while Richard Jefferson's game was on mainly in the first half. Brendan Haywood had a decent game too, and was dominating throughout the 2nd and 3rd quarters. The game was tied at the end of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd quarters, but in the 4th quarter, Vladimir Radmanovich caught fire and helped pull the Wizards away to victory. Jason Kidd and Kerry Kittles were dangerous on the break, and kept this game close. Jarvis Hayes was excellent in the 4th quarter, and was a big factor in helping the Wizards push ahead. Newly acclaimed Antoine Walker had a consistent game, but by the way he played, he clearly did not like being traded. He played dirty against Richard Jefferson, but Richard showed him whos boss. The Wizards are now 3-0.

Richard Jefferson

Richard Jefferson put on an exciting display against Dallas.

The final score - 127 to 113

It was rejection city tonight. The Wizards cast absolute magic on the fans as they were cheered on block after block. Although the player in watch was Richard Jefferson one of the Wizards clearly stood out- Gilbert Arenas. Dallas was killing the Wizards with fast breaks, but Gilbert Arenas had an unbelievable game. Shooting 63% field goals and a 57% 3 point shooting accuracy, Gilbert Arenas paved the way to victory and earned player of the game honors. Richard Jefferson had a decent game, shooting 43% from the field, but missing each of his 5 3-point attempts. The score was tied most of the way but by the final 5 minutes, the Wizards were able to pull away for the win, as their undefeated reign continues.

Richard Jefferson puts on another dazzling performance.

The final score - 125 to 112

The Wizards stay undefeated with their 5 game winning streak. Gilbert Arenas had another amazing game, shooting high percentages from all over the court. Vince Carter only scored 13 points, which could be one of the reasons why Toronto lost. Jalen Rosed was fearlessly attacking the rim, and ended up with 28 points. Reggie Evans went all out on the boards, and grabbed a truckload of rebounds. Toronto was shut down in transition and failed to convert baskets. This has been one of Washinton's easier victories.
