I wanna thank sbhzmafia for giving me this idea. ( he's has the 2nd best dynasty team according to most people, trailing 4 votes , 30 % to andrew ) thanks man . so here.

Memphis Grizzlies @ Sacramento Kings
When: Saturday, April 17, 2004. 6:45
Where: Arco Arena, Sacramento
Records: Memphis ( 51 - 31 ) Sacramento ( 63 - 19 )

Kings. Road To Being Really Crowned .... Kings.
- Story by Mike Hall ( Dream Job Winner )

The Kings had a good season. Finishing 63 - 19 only 1.5 games behind the defending champions San Antonio Spurs. Kings were led by League MVP Donte' Thomas (North Carolina) who averaged 29 points, 12 rebounds, 6 assists, and 2 steals. The Kings swept Memphis during the regular season series.
On the other hand, the Kings couldn't stop players as Jason Williams and Pau Gasol, and traded Bonzi Wells. The Memphis led by 8 in the fourth quarter in all four games, the Kings were able to come back with Peja's hot shooting.
The Grizzlies have made it to the postseason for the first time ever, while Kings, well, let's just say alot. This series will be a great series.

Key Matchup
:

Bonzi Wells vs. Donte Thomas

Bonzi Wells will have to put all his fundementals together for defense, because if Donte' starts off hot, that'll be a sign that points will be on the board.

Heres How It Came Out

Memphis 24/ 31/ 25/ 15/ 95
Sacramento 35/ 25/ 30/ 24/ 114

First Half
Memphis were outrebounding the Kings during the first half 26 - 17 ( 15 offensive ) but Memphis was shooting 35 % in the first quarter , while Kings 61. But the second quarter turned things around. Memphis went on an 18 - 5 run to close out the second quarter after trailing by 18. Jason Williams led all scorers with 21 of Memphis's 55 points, Pau Gasol was locked up by Chris Webber and only had 4 points, and Bonzi Wells had 6 points. On the other side, Bibby had 9 points, Webber 7, Peja Stojakovic 5, Donte Thomas, 14 and Vlade, 5. The Kings Were Only Up By 5 At The Half, "push the ball up more harded casue we're a fastbreak team", words by Rick Adelman to his team comin' out for the 2nd half.

Second Half
The Kings started off the half going to Webber who had some production in the paint then what he did in the first half. The Grizzlies took a 3 point lead with 5:21 left to go in the third, but with this lead Memphis got comfortable with it, too comfortable that rookie Donte Thomas scored 18 of the Kings 30 points in that quarter. The Grizzlies were back trailing, this time, by 10. When fourth quarter started, Donte Thomas had made some passing productions. Giving Bobby Jackson some points, and Brad Miller and even Doug Christie. Chris Webber fouled out in the game, while Donte let Christie take over his spot. Webber finished with 21, Thomas with 37, Bibby 14. The Kings took Game One 114 - 95.

PostGame Report
Player Of The Game : Donte Thomas. 37 points. 11 Rebounds. 8 Assists.

Jim Gray: You had an interesting game out there, you guys were letting Memphis back into the game, what happened out there?
D.Thomas: Uh.... we got a little sloppy out there, we weren't running the ball, we were taking wild shots, we weren't crashing the board, we were just......... just tryna slow it down a little bit.
J.Gray: You and Chris Webber were carrying the team in that second half, other guys weren't stepping up, but you handled the situation great.
D. Thomas: Um.. yeah, me and Chris are the captains on the team along with Mike, so we took the game up to another level, but Mike had to worry about Jason Williams, so we just took over.
J.Gray: You looked good out there in this retro jersey, but the thing that looked good the most was that alley-oop from anthony peeler, and you finished it with a nasty dunk over earl watson and pau gasol and a third! lorenzen wright. what were your thoughts on that?
D.Thomas: I can't remember I was too excited celebrating.
J.Gray: Okay. Donte Thomas and the Sacramento Kings win Game One of seven. Guys.

nothing against you, but it's not as if there wasn't someone out there in the world who didn't have a similar format before you ;). plus, commentators pre-game will frequently do a key matchup...so it's not really all that original. but you do have a great dynasty.

nice looking dynasty, keep it up!

Game 2
Memphis Grizzlies @ Sacramento Kings
When: Today, 10:45 pm
Where: Arco Arena, Sacramento
Playoff Record: Memphis ( 0 - 1 ) Sacramento ( 1 - 0 )

Kings. Road To Being Really Crowned .... Kings.
- Story By Mike Hall ( Dream Job Winner )
Sacramento beat Memphis in Game One by 19, but were still losing on the boards. Memphis recorded 56 rebounds while Kings only 47. " With all the big guys on the team, we should have won the rebound battle, but that would mean we [ Grizzlies and Kings ] missed alot of shots, so in this game today, hopefully we don't miss alot again, and we have a balanced game, so we'll see", Rick Adelman told me. I asked Mike Bibby how he thinks the Kings should start off the game. " Um... we should start the game off fast with speed so we can get Memphis tired, but they are a great team this season, only allowed what...... 7-9 points on the fastbreak and they are a fastbreak team too, so we should really go down low and hope Vlade and Chris can turn things around for us." So I went to the other side and asked Bonzi Wells how MVP Donte' Thomas is the one he LOCKS UP. " Um, it's great, this is my chance to prove to everybody that I am a defensive player, and I'm not afraid of him. His 37 points the other night, it was expected, Donte's a great shooter, great scorer, he's great everywhere, so don't expect the unexpected from him." I'm Mike Hall here, back to you guys in the studio.

Key Matchup
Jason Willaims vs. Mike Bibby

Look for the ball to go to the hoop more by these two people. There's going to be alot of passing, there's going to be alot of penetrating and running, so however wins this point gaurd battle, their team will win the game.

Memphis, Last Second Shot Miracle.( Thank You )

Game 2

Memphis - 21 / 25 / 31 / 11 / 8 - 96
Sacramento - 21 / 20 / 23 / 24 / 6 - 94

First Half
In this half the game was evenly matched out. Memphis were getting away from Sacramento, but Sacto kept coming back. Donte Thomas and Anthony Peeler got in foul trouble, which left Doug Christie all alone. Bonzi Wells had a sensational half, scoring 13 points, grabbing 4 rebounds, and dishing out 6 assists. Bonzi wasn't alone in the first half, Stromile Swift had 10 points, and 8 boards. On the other side, a suprise player Gerald Wallace had 11 points to help Sacto stay within 5 at the half.
Mike Hall: Hubie, your team is playing wonderful basketball out there, you got one of the key players in the game into foul trouble, what does this mean for you and the Grizz's?
Hubie Brown: It means that we're doing just fine, the Kings have never led in the game, so hopefully in the second half, we can keep that tempo.
M.Hall: Going back to what you said, the Kings have never led in the game, the Kings are 8-0 in the season when trailing at the half or have never led in the game going into halftime, does that scare you at all?
H.Brown: No, cause we're a great team, we are not afraid of the Kings and the season is over, we're in the playoffs now.
M.Hall: How did you shut down Donte and Chris in this game?
H.Brown: That's are game plan, and I can't say what we're trying to do cause they're probably back there watching it in there.
M.Hall: Thanks Hubie.
H.Brown: No problem.

Second Half
Memphis dominated the third quarter. Scoring 15 unanswered points, the big's in Sacramento got into foul trouble and that led Donte Thomas, and Mike Bibby into taking over the game. Mike and Donte combined for 23 of the team's ....... 23 points in the third quarter, Sacramento we're down 13 at the end of the third quarter. Stromile Swift left the game after spraining that left ankle. In the fourth quarter, Kings got their act together, going on a 15-6 run. Grizzlies were still ahead in the fourth quarter with only 1:00 left, let's take it to Marv Albert for the last minute.
" Bibby dribbling up the ball, Jason WIlliams is on him tight. 50 ticks to go. Ball into Webber, he's posting up, pass back out to Bibby, back into Webber, spins around his defender, rejected by Bo Outlaw, 4 on the shot clock, ball picked up by Thomas, deep three ............ YES! The three pulls the Kings within 2, only 34 seconds to go. You gotta foul, deep inbound pass to Gasol, stolen by Divac, outlet pass to Stojakovic, he holds it, there's about a 6 second deferiential, Peja still hollding it, do you foul here and send him to the line, no they play defense, ball into Bibby, dribble penetration to the basketball pass out to Thomas, into Webber, quick release ....... no good, rebound to Divac, pump fakes, he goes up....... SLAM DUNK AND THE FOUL!" Vlade Divac would miss the free throw and the game was to go into overtime.

OverTime Recap:
The Kings still never led in the game, and Jason Williams scored all of the Grizzlies 8 points in overtime, and on the other side, well.......lets take it back to Marv. Marv.
" 15 seconds to go in overtime, the Kings trail by 2. Here's the Kings lineup. Bibby, Peeler, Stojakovic, Thomas, and Webber. Look for Rick Adelman to go for the win here. Okay, ball into Bibby, crossover dribble on his defender, pump fake, Williams falls for it, into Webber, Bibby cuts back to Bibby, pass to Peja, into Peeler, to the corner into Thomas, pulls up for the three ......... No. Rebound to Bibby, to Peja, 3-ball............. No. MEPHIS WINS! MEMPHIS WINS! MEMPHIS WINS!"
Memphis took Game 2 of 7, with a win by two.

Mike Hall: FIrst up, Bonzi. You held Donte' to a playoff low, 16 points. But he did have a triple - double, how'd you handle him out there?
Bonzi Wells: I just took it to him, i watched the tape of Saturday's game, and saw how he plays, and so I played defense the way Kobe plays his when he plays him.
M.Hall: Stromlie Swift left the game in the third, did that make you step up your game?
B.Wells: No, um. The Kings made a run back at it, Divac saved them in regulation, but in overtime, Thomas didn't nail that jumper, and thank god Peja didn't either. SO the fact that Stromile left really didn't have an impact on me.
M.Hall: Thanks Bonzi.
M.Hall: Jason Williams ........ JWill, 8 points in overtime, career - playoff high, 31 points, you have fun.
J.Williams: Oh yeah, I finally get to play againest my old team in the playoffs, so I proved something to the Maloof Brothers, but they don't own them anymore, so just came out to have fun and win this game.
M.Hall: You go back home to the Pyramid, tomorrow, your fans are going to be going crazy, and Kings have lost 15 of there 19 losses on the road, any affect.
J.Williams: No, um, this is playoff atmosphere, so records don't really matter right now.
M.Hall: You have a prediction for this series.
J.Williams: Yeah, us in 5.
M.Hall: Okay, congratulations, that was Jason Williams, back to you guys in the studio.

Game 3
Sacramento Kings @ Memphis Grizzlies

When: Today, 2:15
Where: The Pyramid, Memphis
Playoff Record: SAC ( 1-1) MEM ( 1-1 )

Can Memphis Show Sacramento Whose .......... King
Sacramento is the league's best three - point shooting team with 57%. When Donte took the three in game two with 6 ticks to go, why didin't it go in. When Peja took the three with 2 ticks, why didn't that fall in. Was it just that they were both having off days ( which both were ) or were three's in the season just luck. Nobody can answer that but one thing someone can answer is that Peja and Donte will both have hot shooting in today's game. They'll both be shooting alot. Memphis beat Sacramento 96 - 94 in yesterday's game which a game Sacramento never led in. " It just comes down to making your shots, we got lazy in that game, we took Memphis for granted and they beat us fair and square," says All - Star Game MVP and season MVP Donte Thomas. "It puts more pressure on your team when you lose one game to an underdog, but yet, the team is like 20 games above .500 so, it goes two ways." says Tim Duncan whose Spurs lost to Portland in a blow-out. Memphis coach Hubie Brown says Stromile Swift will be ready to play in today's game but isn't 100%. Memphis is now 1-5 againest the Kings this season but can win the playoff series with three more wins. " We just have to work hard to get there, and it is harder for us cause we're both talented teams, but we're the underdog."

Key Matchup:
Mike Bibby vs. Jason Williams

Mike lost the battle last night because of Donte's foul trouble, Webber's missed field goals, and other, but Jason did a good job defensively, if Jason can do that again, look for Memphis to pull away with another win.

De Ja Vu Had A Little Twist

Game 3
Memphis 21 / 25 / 25 / 26 - 97
Sacramento 45 / 31 / 28 / 27 - 130

First Half
This was just Kings night, Sacramento showed the NBA that they are a scoring team, putting up 45 points in the first quarter which was 1 point lower than what Memphis had at the half. Mike Bibby had 21 of his 39 points in the first half, and Chris Webber had 14 points in the second quarter, and #5 in ppg in the playoffs, Donte Thomas had 20 of his points coming in the first half. "There was really nothing they could do, they were shooting horrible in the game, and we were like ........ the sun in that game, we were on fire. Um.... Chris was dominating the paint, and we just took it to Memphis." as Mike Bibby told me. The Grizzlies only shot 28% in the first half but were able to put points on the board thanks to free throws. Let's take it to Adam Levine for the second half, another Dream Job reporter. Adam.

Second Half
Things weren't going well for Memphis in this half. They never led in the game, they were shooting horrible, they weren't running the ball, they had lost it out there. " This is a very disappointing loss, our first game home in the playoffs, and we get blown out. It's not what you'd expect from that. We have to learn from our mistakes and that's what we have to do." The Kings; who lost game two by two, never led in that game. Memphis did what they did, but couldn't end it, the way they did. " It's tough to be at home, in your team's first career playoff game, and try winning because of playoff atmosphere. So that was probably what happened out there, but I play for the Kings, and.... and uh really happened is that we were the better team out there." says Peja. Peja finished his game with 19 points. 6 players on the Kings ended in double figures. Mike Bibby had 39, Donte' Thomas 31, Webber,21, Stojakovic , 19, Divac, 11 and Doug Christie had 10. Strangely, those six, were the only Kings players who scored. I'm Adam Levine. Back to you Mike.

PostGame Report:
M.Hall: First up. Donte. Donte, Grizzlies had a horrible horrible game today, you guys beat them by 33, you had 31, Bibby had 39, what went wrong from them?
D.Thomas: Uh......finishing #7 in the playoffs < both guys laugh > um.... I don't know. Everybody has off days but, we eon today, and we want a ring, so that's all we're worried about.
M.Hall: If you guys win this series, you'll meet Kobe in the next round, he only let you score 56 points on him, that's 14 points a game, what are you going to do differently againest him in the playoffs.
D.Thomas: First off, "when" we win this sereies, and second, I'm not worried about Kobe right now, I'm taking things one at a time.
D.Thomas: Happy birthday, momma.
M.Hall: Okay, thanks Donte, Mike. Sensational game, you were 1 rebound away from a triple - double, what you do differently?
M.Bibby: Nothin', I was just tryna help out my teammates win some ball games, Donte told me, that him and Chris needed help , so I was just helpin.
M.Hall: You looked like you were really entertaining Memphis fans out there?
M.Bibby: Yeah, this was my first team, and wanted to show them that I still love them.
M.Hall: You got a prediction. Jason Williams said Memphis in 5.
M.Bibby: He got jokes. Um, us in 5.
M.Hall: Thanks for your time.
M.Bibby: Mmmmmmmhummmmmm.
