Memo's Nets Dynasty !

I'm a big Nets fan and i'm writing articles about Nets in a very popular NBA site in my country.I think you now understand why i choose Nets for my dynasty.I'm playing with the latest rosters (after the trade deadline).I have changed many players ratings cuz they were so unreal.With the new ratings last years standings were so close to 03-04 season in the NBA.
Superstar - 10 minutes - the sliders are a bit different than Andrew's...The thing that makes me happy is the FG Percentages are so real (rarely over %50 when you play tight D).
User Short-Medium-Long Range : 36-34-44
CPU Short-Medium-Long Range : 36-39-39
By the way i play with real salaries.
I have simulated the 03-04 season.The result was 47-35...Kings beat me in Game 5 of the NBA Finals.
However the players that i've drafted were strong.
SF - Rollins Overall 60...

PG - Charlie Ward (Great shooter...Scored 33 points in a game this season.)
SG - Frances (Actually the backup SG was Harris but he is so slow for Nets and i like playing with rookies)
SF - Rollins (Great scorer.Dribbling is not so good bu he is averaging 7 ppg with Ward which is enough for me)
PF - F.Elson (I traded Williams for him to create space for signing Martin again.He is strong and collects bunch of rebounds.)
C - Dale Davis (GREAT inside scorer and rebounder.I signed him because i needed a good inside scorer but he is one of my best players.He is a bit better than Collins but i decided to keep him on the bench.)

I am now 12-5...The reason that i lost 5 games is that i play so lazy D and i lost my concentration when my opponent leads by 10+.The best team in the league is Celtics with 18-3...

Nets@Boston : At the beginning of the 4th quarter i was winning by 4.But they have made an incredible 17-0 run !!! So i lost the game.

Hey, great dynasty so far mate. I don't think anyone has done the Nets, maybe 1 or 2, but good choice.
What happened to Mourning, he's one hell of a centre, and not everything has to be real life. In my dynasty I got Mourning starting for his team, and in Live04, he don't have his kidney problem. But otherwise, I'm looking foward to seeing how this turns out.
Any other trades in mind at the momnet. Also, just a suggestion, but maybe try doing a longer recap, like write down notes every 2 minutes or so, just breif points/notes, and then recap them into a story at the end. Looking foward to the next game.

Thanks ...I like to play in real life so i lower the ratings of Mourning before starting a dynasty and release him so nobody signs him...

My First Recap :
Miami Heat @ New Jersey Nets 80-99 W
Well,this was my second game against Miami this season.I won the first game too...They dont have strong inside players comparing to Martin,Collins,Davis and Elson.So they always tried to score from medium-long range.First 20 seconds in the game Brian Grant fouled Jefferson 2 times so they had to play with Wang most of the game.I played tough D,especially on Odom but while Martin was drinking his Gatorade,he scored a lot.Jefferson was on fire! 24 points (9-15 FG),7 rebound,2 assists and 2 blocks...Caron Butler had foul problems too.Wallace (rookie) tried to guard him but Rjeff was too fast for him.Kenyon Martin was good against Miami.Odom is too weak for him.He had 20 points,9 rebounds,2 blocks and 2 assists in 25 minutes.Not like the other games i used Elson this game a lot.He had 4 points,7 rebound,4 blocks and 2 assists.I can say Kidd had a poor night.As i said i try to find points from inside so i always played with inside players.Kidd had 7 points (3-11 FG),1 rebound and 11 assists.

Bench Scoring : Heat-17 Nets-36

I always use 10 players.Like Hubie Brown i have two different 5's.And they all get minimum 10 minutes per game

Next Game : The Bucks are going to visit Meadowlands ! They are one of the toughest team in the league.I beat them 99-104 in the first game but Redd was unstoppable ! He scored 30 something...

I am not planning a trade right now but i want to have a strong inside player (Curry is on the top of my list).I dont have any points right now but at the end of the season i'll have 25,000,000-30,000,000 points ! I'll think now and i'll tell my offseason plans in my next post.

News : I've just made a blockbuster (:P) trade with Chicago Bulls...
I saved the game 2 times.Before the trade,after the trade.
Nets to Bulls : Kerry Kittles (9.000.000),Dale Davis (Minimum),Chris Andersen (Minimum)

Bulls to Nets : Eddy Curry,Eddie Robinson,G.Hull(31 Overall,just to make the roster space equal)

They've accepted it...So what would be better for me ? Opinions...

I find the team better with my Curry trade...I'll play my first game against Bucks.I dont want to make all my moves at the beginning of the season,im afraid that i'll get bored ...

Before writing the recap one of the most exciting matches that i've played in Live04,i want to say i made a trade before the match.After sending Kittles,i needed a good shooter.So i sent E.Robinson (Overall60) and R.Frances (Overall50) for J.Bender (a long and athletic PF who is really useful for me) and R.Miller! Though Harris is better than Reggie (Reggie Overall -> 49!) i prefer Reggie as a starter...

Milwaukee Bucks visiting Meadowlands ! ---> 108-110 OT Win
Beginning of the game,till the last 2 mins of the 1st quarter Bucks were having fun...Then i decided to rest Kidd and Ward made couple of threes (one of them was a buzzerbeater and he got fouled!).Both teams had good FG percentages in the quarter. Bucks %53 and Nets %50...During the match i really had a hard time defending KVH,Redd and TJ...I cannot believe TJ made a 3 pointer and 2 dunks during the whole game ! The score was 19-24 at the end of 1st quarter.

Bucks were hot in the second quarter.They made 30 points and i try to keep the lead by my side,i made 24 points.
Halftime Score : 49-48 BUCKS LEAD

I scored,they scored,i scored,they scored...I was still having a real hard time stopping them.Whole game i played Full court man2man but it was impossible to stop the fastest guy in the court TJ FORD...I didnt want to risk the game so i always passed the ball to my strong inside players.They didnt let me down
End of 3rd Quarter : 70-70

Here we go ! Finally,during this quarter i was always up by 3+ points.I found the way to stop them i double team Redd and KVH.Bucks' FG percentage was 6/16 -%37- .
I was up by 1.The score was 89-90.46 seconds left...I used the clock and in the last 3 seconds i passed the ball to Curry,then a dunk !!! Skinner was cleaning the floor! The score was 89-92...I didnt let them breath last 22 seconds but in the last second TJ ford came up and made a three pointer when Kidd and his hand were on him !!!
We are going to OT baby !
Both teams scored and Nets entered the last 3 mins tied...Last 38 seconds i was up by 2 and the ball was on my opponents side.Brian Skinner made a incredible unadjusted shot that i'm definitely sure that he cant do in real life.The clock was showing 17 seconds and i made an isolation play with Kidd,then called Curry (pick'n roll)...Curry was cutting towards the basket i gave him the pass.Last 3 seconds...A hook-shot by Curry !!!

JONATHAN BENDER ruled the game !
During the first half of the first quarter things were slow.I try to slow the tempo.They always try to score from Webber but my man Martin defended him well.At the end of first quarter they were up by 4.Net's were on fire in the 2nd quarter.Bender scored 12 of his 28 points in the 2nd quarter.He defended Webber very well and he was my main guy on offense.The things were going bad for me near the end of 3rd quarter but then Webber got injured.Then Ward had a buzzerbeater and i was up by 5 going to the 4th quarter.Also Reggie sucked this quarter.They catched me and tied the game lots of times in the 4th quarter but then Bender stepped up again and win the game for me.He is a real matchup problem for every PF.He is so fast and athletic and a great inside scorer.

i just got Bender too! he's a very handy player....good shot, good range, athletic, shot blocker and plays 3,4 and some 5

His Strength is 44,which is too weak for the other 5's but its OK...I am completely sure that i wont sign Martin,trade him for a good SG...For Example : L.James,M.Redd,goes on...Boston Recap coming.Finally i beat them with a good 4th quarter performance.

How does Curry play alongside Martin? I've noticed that he often disappears when playing alongside another talented frontcourt player, especially on the defensive glass.

I dont think so.He played 3 games with Nets and as you see he collects more rebounds than Martin.I probably have the most powerful frontcourt in the league right now.But i dont have a shooter which makes me weaker comparing to other teams.I'm thinking about tradiing Martin for Ray Allen,Michael Redd or so...They all accept the trade.

I suppose my situation is a little different, since KG grabs so many rebounds.

I suggest Ray Allen out of those two possibilities.

Yes he is the leader now in "3-point FGs made"...But he has an expensive contract like Martin has,which is a question mark for me.Redd has 2 or 3 more years till his contract expires and his value is 3,000,000 !

Well, whatever you think is best. Redd is by no means a bad choice.

anyway i decided not to make any changes till the trade deadline...But i guess that my choice will be Allen
