My Magic Dynasty

Hey guys i just got the latest Roster Patch and i must say Andrew its good as..

Anyhow now i can make my first Dynasty Diary, ive decided to go with my team Orlando Magic, playing on All-Star level. Oh and im using the Uninjured rosters.

I Havent made a transction as of yet, i dont usually make to many moves in my dynasties.

Starting five for the opening game against the Knicks will be:

C- Howard
PF- Gooden
SF- Hill
SG- McGrady
PG- Strickland

Strickland gets the job ahead of Lue, just trying smething different thats all."While Howard is moved to the Centre postion, allowing Drew Gooden to step up at PF, while Declerq sits it out on the bench to start off with.

Coach Jonnie Davis before the game "we are confident, the Knicks may have players like Marbury, Housten and Mutombo, but we have quality too, i think tonight you will see that the Orlando Magic will be the team to beat in the East this season.

Oh dude, Strickland is there for the first couple of games, its called trying him out. I have Howard there because Gooden will reap the rewards at PF, ive done it before. Im having Uninjured rosters so Hill will stay there. And yes i know Giricek does help the team alot. Hes a good shooter.

Game opened with an array of 3 point shooting from both Keith Van Horn of the Knicks and Tracy McGrady of the Magic, each hitting 2 in the first term.
Magic led 28-27 at the end of the first

Grant Hill goes down early in the second term, he was forced to sit out of the entire match with an arm injury, he is doubtful for the Magics Next game. Halftime ends with Gorden Giricek of the Magic nailing a 3 with 0.2 seconds left on the clock to give the Magic a 55-53 end into the main break.

Giricek led the Magic with 12pts
Shandon Anderson led the Knicks with 12pts at the break.

Pretty much shot for shot in the third term Magic leading 80-77 leading into the last term.

Knicks go on a 16-0 run midway through the last term to pull away from the Magic, the game ended with the scores on Knicks 105, Magic 96

POTG: Keith Van Horn 33pts, 3rebs, 3stls

Marbury had 12pts, dished 16 ass and had 5 rebs in his debut for the Knicks. Mutombo led the boards with 8 for the Knicks.

For the Magic Giricek led with 25pts of the bench. Hitting 4-6 from the 3 point ark. TMAC contributed 21pts, 4rebs and 2 blks. Whilst Juwan Howard finished with 10 boards, and Gooden chipped in with 9.
Rod Strickland landed good numbers in his starting role for the Magic, finishing with 12pts, 7 ass and 5 stls.

"We were simply outplayed in the last term, we had them beat most of the game, they a good team theres no doubt in that, but i think we are better" Said Tracy McGrady of the Magic after there dissappointing loss.

Next game is against the New Orleans Hornets.

1st Quarter: Magic 21 lead Hornets 19
Poor Free Throw shooting from the Magic in the first term costing them a handy lead at the first term, they shot 3/8. Whilst Jamael Magloire on fire forthe Hornets with 6 rebs in the opening term.

2nd Quarter: Hornets 47 lead Magic 36
Mashburn, Wesley and Baron all nailing 3's in a term that was dominated by the opposition. With the Magic missing several easy jumpers. Noticably TMAC 3/10 and Hill 2/8 respectively from the field at the half time break.

3rd Quarter: Hornets 66 lead Magic 63
Better qaurter for the Magic after the Hornets lead by as many as 15 (52-37) at one stage. Thanks to an 8pt run by Tyrone Lue, who hit back to back 3's, followed by an amazing steal which led him to an easy layup to put the Magic right back in the game.

4th Quarter: Hornets 93 def Magic 88
Nothing really in it in the last term. Mashburn hit a three with 43.7 secs left to give the Hornets an inprobable 7pt lead. Magic suffering there secon consecutive loss to go to 0-2 for the season.

Coach Johnny Davis had this to say after the game "You know ive never seen a team who play, at times so brilliant and at times so pathetic, we seem to be working in patches here and that aint gonna get us to far in this league. Guys are inconsistant (Giri just 3pts this game). We have to work on that, and man do we need a big man! Howard is gonna have to lift or he is gone from this team"

Just played my 1st every game with Tracy McGrady, he's pretty nice. An offensive power-house, and he can get some good stats in other catagories as well (*got him in a fantasy draft dynasty)

Detroit Pistons(1-1) at Home.

1st term: Pistons lead 36-35
Ben Wallace goes down with a leg injury which leads to him sitting the entire game out. High percentage shots from TMAC and RIP Hamilton keep the score flowingin the first term. Lue hits a three pointer from the right hand corner with 0.3 secs left.

2nd term: Magic lead 63-61
High scoring game continues as Williamson stars for the Pistons. While Lue dominates playing time over Strickland at the PG position. He goes into the main break with 5ass next to his name.

Leading scorers: TMAC 19pts and Williamson 15pts.

3rd term: Pistons lead 92-86
Magic start with a 9-0 run (Lue hitting 7 off those), the lead is quickly pulled back as the last half of the term is dominated by RIP. Pistons hitting 11 consecutive shots to end the term.

4th term: Pistons 117, Magic 110
Goal for goal here, until Prince and Billups hit back to back threes for the Pistons. Prince and Billpus combined for the just 11pts between them in the first 3 terms, added 14 pts between them in the last term to get the Pistons over the line.

Grant Hill had this to say after the game "at times i think we are good enough but i dont think everyone in this ball team is keen on bringing a ring to this franchise, maybe changes need to be made".

Magic have struck a deal with the San Antonio Spurs which led to Andrew Declerq and Shammond Williams going to the Spurs in return for Bruce Bowen and Hedo Turkoglu.

Magic moved Tyrone Lue into the starting postion and it payed dividends with Lue drilling in 5 assists in the opening term. TMAC(Orl) and Housten(NY) both had 12pts in the first term.
Knicks led 30-28 at the end of the first

Alan Housten dominated the proceedings in the 2nd. Hitting three 3'pointers in the opening half whilst Tmac had 3 as well. Lue grabbed 7 assists in opening half. Van Horn who dominated last game was not to be seen. Knicks led 49-47 going into the main break.

TMAC led the Magic with 20pts.
Alan Housten led the Knicks with 15pts at the break.

Penny Hardaway goes down early in the third, he returns later on in the game. Marbury, Van Horn and Mutombo being outplayed. Guys like Sweetney, Anderson and Norris keeping the Knicks in the game. Magic led 74-70 going into the last.

Bruce Bowen played his best quarter for the Magic in the game at the right time. He nailed a crucial 3, had 2 stls and 2assists in the dieing stages of an even contest. Magic trailed 101-94 with 1.48 left on the clock. But managed to pull of a 105-103 win over the Knicks to record there first victory of the season!

they accepted it. They needed a back-up PG, so i gave them Shammond Williams, i have too many PG's. I needed a back-up SF so i went for Bowen. Declerq i didnt want because i want to develop Hunter more. Turkoglu wasnt getting much a go at the Spurs so i went for him in the deal.

Just like you said to the Rockets dynasty, I mean Williams and Declerq aren't even close to the talent that Spurs are offering. They accept yes, but I could use Glenn Robinson to trade for LeBron James.

Chicago(2-2) @ Orlando

Magic had its worse start in a game so far this season, shooting at just 21% (5/23) from the field, the Bulls relished the chance and slipped to an early lead in the game. Antonio Davis on fire with 7boards, whilst Grant Hill scored 9 of Magic's 13 first quarter pts.
Bulls led 22-13 at the end of the first

Again the Magic were left behind as the scored stretched to 27-13 at one stage and 43-26. They were being completely outplayed by the older Bulls players in Pippen and Davis. A minor comback by the Magic towards the end of the quater kept them in the hunt. Bulls led 47-36 at 1/2 time.

Hill led the Magic with 13pts
Crawford led the Bulls with 12pts at the break.

Pippen, Davis and Crawford dominated this term as the Magic tried to make there move but just couldnt get close with clutch shooting from Hinrich. Bulls led 77-68 going into the last.

Scores were tied on 85 apiece, before the Bulls again broke away they led 101-95 with 1.58 left on the clock before back to back 3's from Tracy McGrady. Scores were again tied with 44secs left i nthe game. Hinrich then scores a 29ft three pointer with 4.6 secs left to win the game for the Bulls after the Magic hit the lead with 12.8 secs left. Bulls 108, Magic 106

Wolves (3-2) @ Magic (1-4)


1st Quarter: Wolves 32 lead Magic 25
Steven Hunter nails 8 pts in the 1st term, both teams shooting over 50% from the field. Magic bench keeping them in the game.

2nd Quarter: Wolves 52 lead Magic 49
Giricek hits back to back 3's in the opening minute of the second term as the Magic dominates for most of the 9 minutes. Good defence from both sides a telling factor in an exciting game Garnett and Tmac being outplayed respectively. Howard has 10 boards at the break whilst Lue has dished out 8 assists. Leading scorers for the 1st half are Hunter with 10 for the Magic whilst Sprewell has 15 for the Wolves.

3rd Quarter: Wolves 74 lead Magic 66
A 9-0 start to the third for Wolves gave Magic no real chance of a comeback, until Tmac hit some shots and set up a 8-0 run to hit back. Cassell hit a three with 0.6 secs left to give the Wolves a nice edge going into the last.

4th Quarter: Wolves 96 def Magic 95
Giricek, Hunter & Strickland all on fire he as the Magic bench again stole the show here. Magic hit the lead (86-85) with 4.27 left on the game clock. Then the computer does its usual little (gimme..gimmes), meaning whenever i pass the opponent steals the ball and its a fast break pt. Anyhow lead was out to 8, (93-86) then we made a comeback, threes from Giricek and TMAC getting the Magic within one before the buzzer ran out.

I have been playing with the Orlando Magic for the 3 seasons now... and won back to back championship...Tmac is my main man on my first championship where i won every game i played then i traded tmac for KG and won my 2nd title...
