I know there are a couple of Toronto Dynasty's around, but i thought it would be fun to do one myself, especially with Rose on the team.

I updated all the players from that thread in general issues written by fgrep15

So im doing a 28 game season on 12 min quarters, All Star and sliders using a mix of lots of peoples.

Anyway im off to play the first game. :D

First game was against the Nets in Toronto.

Shooting 60% from the field and 46% from beyond the arc, the Raps managed to slaughter the New Jersey Nets 126-78.
The Nets took the lead early on and half way through the first quarter its was the nets in front with a 14-12 lead, but from then onwards it was all Raps with the first ending 31-20. VC had 14 first quarter points, while Alvin Williams had 5 of his 7 assists during the first as well.
The Nets never came back and the last 4 mins was spent trying to keep them under 80.

POG was VC with 26 points ( 12/22 FG ) 6 rebounds and 11 assists
Kenyon Martin was strong for the Nets with 22 points in limited minutes due to foul trouble.
Mo-pete went for 27 on 10/14 FG and 6/9 3PT, i think i said 5/9 in the previous post, but that was wrong.
Alvin Williams had 6 points 2/2 3pt 5 steals and 6 assists.

Next game is at Minnesota.

BTW my games arent usualy this high scoring but i wanted to learn the limits of my players scoring wise.

Oh if i can remember bosh had 17 and 9 rebounds while marshell had 14 and 9 or somethin, oh bosh had seven assists too, i was gonna post them too but 4got. Also Moiso had 12 rebounds and 1 point.

I dunno who to get for a big man, but i was thinking trade mo pete or murry or maybe even curry.

I hosted Dallas, and somehow managed to lose, i was able to hold a lead for the larger part of the game but they went hard out and had a 14-5 run going at the start of the 4th. I managed to comeback and with 13 seconds left the score at 120-117 Dallas lead, VC inbounded the ball to Rose at half way, Rose swings it back to Vince in the corner of doom (sorry i just like to call it dat) Vince trys to make some room for himself but is fouled by Walker, VC once again inbounds to Rose who once again swings it to Vince who this time is waiting at the 45, instead of making room for a shot Vince drives off a Lonny Baxter pick with 7 seconds left takes a leaning 3 pointer..................... which rattles in then out, Nowitzki cleans the glass and holds the ball and runs out the clock.

POG was VC once again with a triple double of 47 points 10 rebounds and 11 assists.
Marshell had 24 points on 10/17 FG and 7 rebounds
Bosh had 13 points on 5/8 and 7 rebounds, 4 assists
Rose had 14 points and 6 assists

Playing big for the Mavs were:
Finley 29 points 12/22 3 rebounds 4 assists
Nash 21 points 11 assists 4 steals
Jamison 16 points 8 rebounds 4 assists
Walker 23 points 5 rebounds
I managed to keep Dirk in foul trouble for most of the game, he only had 6 points.

Im still not sure about another big man, i guess it would be helpful having another helper off the bench, because ive been playing Vince at the 4 at times when players like Jamison or Dirk are on. Ive got plenty of swingmen to deal, so i guess i should start shopping around.

My 1-2 record is good for 10th in the East, pretty sad considering the potential of my team.

BTW a piece of weird news, Zach Randolf is averaging 52ppg so far this season, in 2 starts, he leads the league followed by Vince with 38.3

MEGA POST

Firstly a trade.

The Raptors sent Donyell Marshell, Morris Peterson and Lamond Murry to Dallas for the newly aquired Antoine Walker, Danny Fortson and Maquis Daniels.

At first i thought it was an unfair trade for Dallas, but when i actually looked at the players involved it wasnt. Marshell doesnt quite make up for Walker, but when you add mopete to help take up the scoring load lost by Walker and then Murray easily covers Daniels. It seems i lost out as my bench is hit quite bad, as well as having less swingmen ( which i dont need )

Toronto @ Washington
Finals score Toronto 101 Washington 95
POG Vince Carter 38 points 10 rebounds 6 assists 3 blocks

Toronto mentions:
Antoine Walker 24 points 13 rebounds 4 assists 3 steals
Jalen Rose 12 points 7 assists

Washington:
Larry Hughes 20 points 6 assists
Kwame Brown 14 points 5 rebounds

I found this game quite hard, Kwame Brown was hard to stop in the first but once I got in the flow and learnt to include Walker in the Offence we started to fire Washington began to catch at the end but i just tried to keep them under 100.

Toronto @ LA Lakers
Toronto 126 Lakers 104
POG Vince Carter 34 points 7 rebounds 7 assists

Mentions:
Toronto:
Antoine Walker 32 points 14 rebounds 3 assists
Jalen Rose 19 points 7 assists

Lakers:
Karl Malone 24 points 7 rebounds
Gary Payton 15 points 14 assists

This game i was determined to win. From the start the Lakers were in trouble, Malone being their only bright light with 10 points in the first. It took me a while to get going but once i was rolling i was all good. We ended the quarter 32 - 18. The rest of the game was up and down, i really never managed to extend the lead. Halftime was 68 - 54, and it was only the Laker fouling me in tha last quarter that gave me the big win.

Toronto @ Sacramento
Toronto 125 Sacramento 116
POG: Vince Carter 43 points 7 rebounds 7 assists 3 steals 3 blocks

Mentions:
Toronto:
Antoine Walker 39 points 13 rebounds
Chris Bosh 14 points 15 rebounds 3 assists

Sacramento:
Mike Bibby 21 points 5 rebounds 14 assists
C-Webb 9 points 5 rebounds 15 mins

If i could beat the Lakers on the road i saw no reason why i cudnt beat the Kings. I really concentrated my defence on C-Webb as he usualy dominates me in the post. I was succesful managing to keep him in foul trouble with Antoine Walker going hard at him in the post. I cant remember the quater scores but i was behind all the way until the third quarter. Once again it was the other team fouling me in the last few minutes that pushed the score.

Houston @ Toronto
Houston 117 Toronto 116
POG: Vince Carter 41 points 5 rebounds 7 assists

Mentions:
Houston:
Stevie Franchise 24 points 7 assists
Cuttino Mobley 19 points 8 rebounds

Toronto:
Antoine Walker 31 points 7 rebounds
Jalen Rose 17 points 4 rebounds 9 assists 3 steals

I knew this game would be hard, as playing the Rockets always is. I was behind most of the way for the whole game but managed to pull it close in the final few minutes with Vince making 4 3's in a row, with 10 seconds left i had leveled it at 114 all and thought i had a pretty good chance at sending it to overtime. So i tried to Double team Cuttino but he pulled through, but Vonce came up for the cover, then the ball was swung to Franchise who jacks up a 3 with a hand in his face...... the shot falls. 1.1 seconds left i call a timeout, so with the ball at half way Im just about to pass in to Rose but then i see Vince who seems to be jst out side the 3, i quickly change to him a shoot, and to my dismay he is about a foot inside the 3 point line, the shot falls and Marv goes wild but i still lose.

I think Vince is averaging about 38 ppg 7rbg 7apg, neway he is first in MVP candidates. 38 is a bit far fetched, but he is such a machine, i can always rely on him. Sometimes i think he is having a quiet game so i check out his stats and he is on 28 with a quater to go, and then in the final a need his scoring to see me through, but now with Antoine im trying to use Vince as more of a play maker and rebounder, its just the last few games have been tuff until the end so ive needed Vinces scoring.

Im thinking of changing to 8 minute quarters, not too sure yet.

Next post will be a stats update.

Im sitting 4-3 so far i think.

"Next post" is still coming, most probs tomorrow.

It will include about 4 game recaps, trade info, trade rumors and stats updates.

I would also like to find a offensive stratergy for my team, so far ive been using "Secondary Break" but i dont think it really fits my team, i use quick plays as well, which i have changed.

My rotation is"

C: Forston/ C. Robinson
PF: Bosh/ C.Robinson/ sometimes VC
SF: VC/ Bonzi/ Mike Miller
SG: Bonzi/ Mike Miller/ VC
PG: Rose/ Alvin Williams

Plus some others. I want to try and get my swingmen more involved, but in a more half court offense, i hardly ever try to go to the Center so i dont really need a play that involves him too much, also i get sick of the PG and SG always sitting on the perimeter, i want them to cut into the lane at times.....

Any help would be appreaciated :D

SO here goes with another update. This time the game recaps will be short, cos i stuffed up the stats saving....

First game was against the 76ers at home, i won 106 - 100.
My most controlled game ever, i just sat behind by about 6 the whole game to stop either me or the cpu getting the 3rd quarter helper and then just smmothly passed them in the final few minutes.

Next game was against Orlando at Orlando, won 137 - 128 in over time. If i remember correctly Gooden torched me for 44 or somethin.

Next game against Cleveland which i won 104 - 98 another good game.

Next game was against Boston which i won 121 - 115 in overtime again. This time it was Vin Baker who was awesome, he went for 34 points and 12 rebounds.

THis game i remeber well and have the stats, it was agaisnt new york at home. i won 87 - 71, in an easy game. From the start i knew i had it going into the second with a 28 - 14 lead. I just played the game nice and slow and let my whole team get invloved.

POG was Bosh with 19 points 8/18 and 19 rebounds 4 blocks

Now for trades, just before the Cleveland game i traded Antoine Walker, Lonny Baxter and Jerome Moiso to Memphis for James posey, Mike Miller and Bonzi Wells. I then traded Posey for Cliff Robinson ( i regret that trade).

My reason for the trades were really that i had no bench and that Walker was just as good at scoring as VC and it was hard to invlove other players (now i know how the Cletics must have felt). I wish i hadnt traded Posey for Cliff cos Cliff jst doesnt pull the load off the bench.

So for trade rumors, it looks like Cliff is on the block, but i cant find a replacement at the moe so he will stay.

Now for stats.

MVP Candidates:
J. Oneal 25.1 ppg 2.4 apg 11.3 rpg 2.3 bpg 1.1spg
T-Mac 28.2/ 5.4/ 10.3/ 0.9/ 2.0
A Walker 26.8/ 3.7/ 9.7/ 0.7/ 1.4
Paul Pierce 23.0/ 5.5/ 8.6/ 0.9/ 2.2
Lebron James 21.4/ 5.9/ 8.9/ 0.8/ 1.2

League Leaders
Points
VC 33.8
Z. Randolf 31.6
T - Mac 28.2

Rebounds
KG 13.9
Ben Wallace 13.1
Z. Randolf 12.1

Assists
Starbury 8.7
B - Diddy 8.7
Kidd 8.6.

Also i simmed a few games in between so my record is 12- 4 i think maybe not but somewhere rnd there, best for tops in the league anyway :D

Bosh has been an animal since the trade averaging 18.6 ppg and 16 rpg, while VC has not had to do as much work over all now that i have strong bench but he is still the main scorer, but in my last game it was Bonzi Wells who led the team going for 21 points 6 rebounds 8 assists and 5 blocks.

Right ive played two more games.

First was at the Denver Nuggets, which i thought would be a close game since they are an up and rising team like me. The first quarter was slow and close fought but we managed to pull ahead near the end of it going into the second 24- 14. From then on the game was won, as i was easily controling the game. Final score 114 - 96 to me.

Vince pulled himself out of his minor slump and recorded a triple double to earn POG with 42 points 11 rebounds and 12 assists. Chris Bosh continued his domination down low with 25 points 17 rebounds 4 blocks and 3 assists. Jalen Rose had 17 points 3 rebounds and 5 assists, while Bonzi had a similar game with 17 points 3 rebounds and 4 assists.

For Denver NeNe had 21 points and 13 rebounds, Andre Miller had 11 points and 10 assists, while Carmelo had 22 points.

Second game was at home against Portland which we managed to win 123-100.

It was a difficult game with both teams shhoting well above .500 which i found hard to play with since ive been accoustomed to slwoing the other teams offense down a little, still in the end i decided to fight fire with fire, making use of my fast break, and forcing many turnovers in the second half. The high FG% led to lots of assists and fewer rebounds. I didnt reall like the high scoring but the game did see a steller performace from VC once again.

VC took player of the game with 50 points 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Bosh continued to light it up with 17 points and 17 rebounds to go with 3 blocks and 4 assists. Jalen Rose posted a Double Double with 24 points and 10 assists while Bonzi and Mike Miller had 16 and 14 points repectively.

Zach Randolph had a strong game with 28 points 9 rebounds and 4 assists while Sheed had 17 points and 7 blocks. Derek Anderson had 15 points 4 rebounds and 3 assists.

Player of the month in the east went to Antoine Walker with 26.3 ppg 9.4 rpg and 4 apg, west player was KG with 26ppg 14.2rpg and 4.3 apg. East Rookie was Lebron with 20.2 ppg 6.0 apg and 9.1 rpg and West Rookie was Carmelo with 22ppg 3.4 apg and 9.5 rpg.

I was disapointed that VC wasnt awarded POTM for the East but i guess he did go through a minor slump. I also thought that Bosh's play during this month has been incredible averaging approx 19 ppg and 17 rpg along with about 4 apg, but its not biggie

Yeah im trying for MVP but VC is only 3rd in rankings with 36ppg 7rpg and 7apg, they seem like MVP numbers to me, Bosh is only recently been playing well though.... His Averages are about 18 ppg and 10 rpg 2 bpg and 4 apg

ALL STAR WEEKEND!!

First up was the Rookie Challenge

Rookie Challenge

My rookie challenge was pretty much the same as the real life one, with the Sophmores dominating the rookies. Each quarter i would switch teams as i couldn't decide who i wanted to control. The end score was 119-116, which didnt really reflect the game as i was trying to let the rookies catch up in the final quarter a little.

The player of the game went to Tayshun Prince who had a very suprising game with 42 points 8 rebounds and 2 assists, also having a hand in the sophmore's win was Flip Murray who had 25 points 12 assists and 5 rebounds, and Amare Stoudemire who had 13 points 7 rebounds and 5 blocks.

Unsuprisingly LJ was the top player for the rookies with 28 points 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Wade (can't remember how to spell his first name) had a strong outing with 20 points 4 rebounds and 8 assists, along with Melo who had 18 points and 10 rebounds.

Next up was the Dunk Contest

Dunk Contest

The Competitors for this event were:
Ricky Davis
LeBron James
Desmond Mason
Jason Richardson

For my dunk contest each player had 3 dunks each, also using Andrews rule, that if it was a plain dunk it did not count. The top two players went through to the final, where once again the players would have 3 dunks each.

The contest didt work as well as i had hoped as the players kept doing the same dunks, and the only player to pull off something really fancy was Lebron and J Rich.

Any way here are the results:

First Round

Ricky Davis 42 46 40 = 128
LeBron James 50 42 46 = 138
Desmond Mason 42 46 46 (48) (48) (46) = 134*
Jason Richardson 42 46 46 (48) (48) (48) = 134*
* A dunk off had to be held between D-Mase and J-Rich, they kept doing the same dunks, or ones that i thought were worth the same.

Second Round

Lebron James 46 50 48 (46)
Jason Richardson 48 48 48 (50)

Once again a dunk off had to be held, but J-Rich managed to pull out a soaring Free throw line dunk which managed to impress a little more than Lebron's off the glass dunk.

ALL STAR GAME

Starting Line Ups were announced in an earlier thread.

The game was another thriller, which was sent into overtime. The west started out strong with Kobe and Marion feeding off each other for some Highlight dunks, but the East managed to stay in the game with some strong rebounding from Wallace who had 5 in the opening quarter. All players on the East managed to score in the first 12.

From then on the game was closely contested with the lead exchanging hands a few times. The 3rd quarter was the cousins VC and T-Mac's quarter as they gave the East a 10 point lead with some stellar plays.

The forth was the total opposite of the 3rd as Kobe and KG teamed up to explode on the offensive end. With the game tied at 132 a piece Jason Kidd tried to put up a trey from half way with a few seconds remaining on the clock, the ball hit nothing but air.

The over time session was exactly the same as the game , with the lead exchaning hands many a time, but Baron Davis came off the East bench to lead his conference to victory recording 6 of his 11 assists and hitting 2 treys, in the dying minutes.

The End score was 154- 150 to the East.

POG went to VC who had 26 points and 7 rebounds

Also playing strong for the East was T-Mac who had 21 points and 6 rebounds, Baron Davis who had 15 points and 11 assists, Paul Pierce who had 22 points and 5 assists, Michael Redd who had 21 points on 4/4 3pt shooting, and Ben Wallace who had 7 points and 12 rebounds. Rookies Bosh and Bron had 13 and 8 points respectivley.

Big in the West was Kobe with 24 points 3 rebounds and 4 assists, Shawn Marion who had 24 points and 7 rebounds, Ray Allen who had 12 points and 5 assists, Steve Francis who had 16 points 4 rebounds and 15 assists and KG who had 14 points and 10 rebounds. Rookie Carmelo Anthony had 14 points and 3 rebounds.

Since the All Star Break i have played 4 more games.

First was at home against the Detroit Pistons. This was a High scoring affair with me finally taking out the game 130 - 118 in overtime, i held them to 6 points in OT.

POG was VC with 55 points 11 rebounds and 11 assists

Next game was against Golden State at Golden State, i managed to take the game easily 117 - 93.

POG was VC with 40 points 7 rebounds and 13 assists, But his performance was not nearly as supprising as Bosh's 41 points 11 rebounds and 5 blocks.

Next game: San Antonio at Toronto

I thought this would be a hard game and that it was Current Champions against Favourites for the next Title. The Final score was 108 - 105, i only managed to slide past them in the final 3 and then had to play hard out to keep it there, this was mainly due the the awesome play by Rose in the final 3, knocking down 3 treys in the face of Parker.

POG was VC with 38 points 8 rebounds 5 blocks and 6 assists

The last game was against Indiana at Indiana, this game i just threw away defence and went hard out, actually that was a lie, i only played that way in the last 15 minutes of the game, but it was enough to push the score pretty high. in the last minute of play in the 3rd, Mike Miller hit 3 consecutive 3 pointers to give me a 92 - 78 point lead entering the final quarter. From then on i managed to hold on to my lead to end the game 123 - 112.

POG was...... you guessed it VC with 41 points 7 rebounds and 11 assists
Mike Miller had 30 points while Bosh had 31 and 11 rebounds.

My record is now 21-4 with only 3 games to go most play off spots have been decided, if i lose all of my next 3, i still go through as number 1 seed, and will face the 13 - 15 pistons in the first round.

Damn VC is on fire! And I couldn't beleive Bosh scored a 40 plus game in his rookie year!

Thinking of making any trades or are you past the deadline already?
