LeBron's Cavs Dynasty

Postby Power And Proud on Wed Dec 31, 2003 12:57 pm

Having changed my username and deciding to quit my Wizards dynasty, I'm going to try to develope NBA rookie sensation LeBron James into an absolute beast. I'm starting a dynasty with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Hopefully I will contain myself from making any deals, but if I do make changes to the Cavs line-up, it will be most likely that Darius Miles will go. He got no game!

I've simmed up to where the Cavs are in real life, their game against Indiana on the 30th of December.

Starters:

C- Z. Illgauskas
PF- C. Boozer
SF- I. Newble
SG- K. Brown
PG. L. James

Bench:
E. Williams
T. Battie
JR Bremer
K. Ollie
D. Miles
J. Kapano
B. Sundov

IR-
D. Wagner
D. Diop

Having simmed up to the Indiana game, the Cavs have a 11-20 record (I think).

Cleveland 87, Indiana 99

On his 19th birthday, rookie sensation was hoping for a victory. But it wasn't to be. The Pacers using a 6-0 run to start the 4th to pull far away enough from the Cavs to seal the win.

To make things worse, it wasn't LeBron's best birthday ever, going down with injury early in the 2nd quarter. Originally it was thought to be a back injury, but reports after the game states it is a strained shoulder, and LeBron will be out of action for 4 days. LeBron did not return to the game.

So how did the Cavs manage to stay close? Behind the awesome play of back-up SG JR Bremer, who on fire in the 3rd, and remained hot in the 4th, but it was too late. Bremer leading the Cavs off the bench with 22 points.

Before the injury, LeBron had put up 10 points on 4-5 shooting, as well as 4 rebounds and 3 assists.

I've been waiting. :P

Lebron, did you edit any of your players ratings before you started? If so what are they?

Mainly I've just notched up LeBron's ratings a bit, mainly his quickness, speed, shooting, dunking, FT's, and eventually, he's now a 83 overall.

Well, it turns out that I forgot to save it. So I had to start again. I simmed up to the New Jersey game, and had a 15-17 record heading into it.

It was mainly the Nets in control the entire game, pulling out a 115-105 victory. Jason Kidd was too much for the Cavs, going off for 25/6/16. LeBron went for 22/9/12.

Record: 15-18
Next Game: vs. New York

Damn, I had the lead for the entire game, except for when it went back and forward in the 4th. But the Knicks took the lead for good with a 9-0 in the final minutes, to run out 102-95 victors. LeBron James had 35/12/9.

Record: 15-19

Before the game against the Raptors up in Toronto, the Portland Trail Blazers contacted the Cavaliers about a possible trade. They said that they are in need of a SF/PF, the type like Darius Miles. Cavs GM Troy Wingate asked who are they willing to give up for Miles, who has played very well of late for the Cavs. Portland's response - Zach Randolph. The Blazers had offered their up and coming PF for Darius Miles. The Cavs quickly agreed to the deal. Zach Randolph has become the Cavs starting PF, moving Carlos Boozer to the bench as the back-up PF, something the Cavs have not had this season.

Cavaliers 112, Raptors 95

I decided to simulate this game coz for some reason I don't really like playing the Raptors. Well anyway, the Cavs got the win improving their record to 16-19, but in the process, lost newly acquired Zach Randolph to injury with a sore neck. He is only expected to miss the trip to Boston.

Cleveland 112, Boston 108

With Randolph out of the line-up, Carlos Boozer kept playing like he had before the Darius Miles trade. LeBron James once again led the Cavs with 34 points, 12 rebounds, and 8 assists. While Boozer dropped in 14 points and 8 rebounds.

The win improves the Cavaliers to 17-19, but don't expect a victory when they head to Los Angeles to play Kobe Bryant, Shaquille O'Neal, Karl Malone, Gary Payton and the LA Lakers.

I know it's an unrealistic trade, but the CPU offered it. Wags and Diop are now on the active roster, coming off the bench.

Darius is 63 so that makes Randolph 65, coz I remember Randolph being 2 ratings higher than Miles.

Cleveland 130, LA Lakers 128 OT

Playing in Los Angeles for the first time, and going against another 'Next Jordan' in Kobe Bryant, LeBron James brought his 'A' game as he collected 33 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists in a thrilling overtime victory. 2 of LeBron's 33 points were from the game winning dunk with 3 seconds remaining. Devean George was forced to throw up a prey from full court (LA had no more timeouts) and got nothing but air. Zach Randolph was also big for the Cavs with 23 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists. The Cavs also got 26 points out of Eric Williams.

The Cavs are now 7th in the East at 18-19.

I'm looking to trade Big Z Illgauskas. He doesn't really fit into the way I run my offense, coz hes just a bit slow, and I don't seem to be able to take advantage of his height. Not that I'm not trying, it's just I can't. I think I'd be more suited having Zach Randolph at center, and putting Boozer back at starting PF, but would should I look for in return for Big Z?

Gimme your idea's.

Cavs 108, Warriors 113

It was an up and down affair all game, and the Cavs had a chance to tie it or take the lead with a 3, but with 8 seconds left, the Warriors Troy Murphy drilled a 3 pointer right over LeBron James, who was completely in his face (Murph's got lucky). That 3 took the score up to 113-108 which ended up the final score. LeBron James had 33 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists, while Nick Van Exel poured in 44 points for the Warriors.

Record: 19-20

Next Game: at Utah

I still haven't traded Illgauskas yet. I don't know who I can deal him for, and whether to deal him for a SF or deal him for a PG and move LeBron to SF.

I'd deal for a SF, Lebron is awesome at the PG, and his stats are wicked too, if you play him at SF his assists could go down. What type of player are you trying to get with the trade for Z, because Artest and Lewis are rated around the same as Z......

Cavs Acquire Tawn

Just like the real Isiah Thomas and the real New York Knicks, Cavs owner Troy W pulled off a blockbuster trade with the Dallas Mavericks today.

The deal sends center Zydrunas Illgauskas and forward Ira Newble to Dallas for forward Antawn Jamison.

"The franchise is very thankful for what Big Z has done for this team since his arrival, but we felt it was time to move in a different direction," said Troy. "Acquiring Jamison will allow us to move Zach Randolph to the center position, which will also bring Carlos Boozer back into the starting line-up at the power forward spot."

But the blockbuster wasn't the only deal the Cavaliers made today. They sent seldom used Kevin Ollie to the New York Knicks for point guard Frank Williams.

Cavs 81, Jazz 70

I turned down the minutes to 8 mins per quarter.

After the team's two trades 2 days before hand, new Cavs Antawn Jamison and Frank Williams passed physical's and flew to Salt Lake City to join their new team and take on the Utah Jazz.

In a low scoring affair, it was relatively close right throughout the ball game, with neither team able to take a solid lead. Jamison got off to a quick start with 12 points and 2 assists, but was dissappointing there after, finishing with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists. LeBron James made his first appearance in Utah, and once again collected Player of the Game honors, pouring in 22 points, 3 rebounds, 2 blocks, 3 steals and 7 assists. The only downside to LeBron's game tonight was his 4 fouls.

The Cavs return home to face the 15-26 Seattle Sonics.

Record: 20-20 (8th in East)
