The Knicks are going to be a tough matchup in 2k.

`Melo and Baron lead the team as the Knicks take Game 1
With the playoffs finally underway, the East teams look to surprise the fans, rather let them see a Bulls vs Heat conference finals matchup.
What makes special about the forth and the fifth seed, is that these teams played eachother right at the end of the regular season, as Cleveland won a game over the Knicks. Now however, the things are different, and as every game counts. New York wants to take advantage of their home court, while the Cavaliers want to shock the people.
The game started really one-sided though, as the Knicks took control right from the start, and by the 5 minute mark, it was already a 11 point game. However, it was one man, and one man alone who turned the game around. Stephen Jackson.
He scored 17 points only in the first quarter, taking the lead for the Cavaliers. It might have shocked Carmelo and the crew, but they were still very competative.
Problem for the Cavaliers was though, that behind Jackson, there was a empty spot. Sure, Irving and Brooks played well, but nobody else stepped up.
In the forth, the game was still neck and neck, and both Carmelo and Jackson lead their teams. With Baron Davis also hitting shots in the end, Cavaliers needed somebody to step up.
And as there was 15 seconds on the clock, the Cavs got the ball in to a fast break corner three, Irving was open, and had his chance to tie it, but it was no good.
Stoudemire was sent to the line, who hit one of them, and made the game a two play lead. After that, Cleveland came up short, and lost the game 81-77, as the Knicks took Game 1 with pride.

Cavaliers come up big; tie up the series
After the Knicks winning game one in the late forth quarter, they still looked to take full advantage of their home-court, winning another before the series switching to Cleveland. However, the Cavaliers were more motivated then ever, as they fell so short against a powerhouse team.
Right from the very start though, the game seemed like one sided yet again, only the sides were switched. Yes, the Cavaliers took a early lead, a huge one to be exact. At the end of the first, it was already a 13 point lead.
Knicks regrouped, and started playing their game again, but Cleveland matched them point for point. Anthony was feeling pretty lonely, and his shots were missing, while Davis didn`t help aswell.
Meanwhile, Jackson was still torching hot, and Irving showed a bit better play then game one. That being said, the lead in the first half ended with a 16-point difference.
However, now was the time for the Knicks. Melo and his shot were on fire, and Shumpert came up big aswell. Stoudemire worked heavy on the boards to get that final edge for them, but they still had one problem. Stephen Jackson.
The man was still schooling New York and their defense, hitting very difficult shots. In the end, Knicks got the game to single digits, but it was too late, as the Cavaliers took Game 2 75-67, right before going back home, to Cleveland.

Series switch the court; Knicks still prevail
Back on playoff track, the series has switched to a different town, as we set our base in Cleveland. Coming off the win, the Cavaliers did have a mental edge, but, looking at the Knicks, you know they have a edge skill-wise.
As like the first two games, both teams were neck and neck right from the beginning. However, while New York was playing with all 5 guys working together, Kyrie Irving was left alone to carry the Cavaliers.
He did come up with some massive plays, along with a massive buzzer-beater three in the end of the second half, which gave them the lead. Anthony was still proving very difficult to guard, while Davis was right behind him, helping the team out.
On the other end, Jackson played also well all-around, but they needed somebody to score, and big.
Well, they did need somebody, but at the start of the forth, Knicks went on a 14-2 run, which the Cavaliers could not stop. Shumpert and Stoudemire were leading that run, with some heavy plays.
As they outscored Cleveland 23-8 in the forth, the game was over 65-54, with yet again, Cavaliers going down in the very end.

Brooks finally shines, Cavs tie the series
As Cleveland lost their first homegame, things were not looking good. Carmelo and his scoring had faded by every game, but the rest of the Knicks lineup was picking their game up. If Cleveland lost this game, going back to New York, would be even harder.
And it certainly looked like that in the beginning, as the Knicks took the lead early. It really wasn`t because they played well, but it was more because Brooks and Jackson were missing their shots. Irving tried to keep them in it, but after the first quarter, the lead was already at 9, and it seemed to go even higher.
That it, until Irving started dominating even more. Cavs picked their game up in the second and looked like a completely different team, with a lot of firepower. Irving was still leading the team, and Jackson was managing to hit his shots.
Although, it was a battle of the point guards, as Davis came to impress people aswell. Him and Stoudemire were picking up Carmelos poor play, while they took advantage of Jamisons poor ball control.
Though, there was one guy who completely got the game in Clevelands hands. MarShon Brooks. He hasn`t really shined in the previous games, but the way he dominated, dunking on everybody in his way, was magnificent.
Irving got into foul troubles, but Brooks was still finding his way to dominate. In the end, Anthony hit a shot, just to make the game single digits, as the Cavaliers won 64-56.

Career-high by Brooks; Cavs one away from advancing
Rightly so, the Cavaliers finally tied up the series. But as the series switched back to New York, the fans seemed even more powered, as everybody hoped that their team could get to the second round.
However, one man was walking around, full of confidence from last game, as Brooks was cockier then ever. Right from the start of the game, it showed. He dunked on Davis, then put a putback over Stoudemire and Melo.
The crowd was quiet, as he went to work. Cleveland was lead by one man, but that didn`t mean that nobody else scored. Irving played so well in the paint, making defenders jump left and right, while Jamison and Jackson weren`t too bad aswell.
Knicks knew that something was wrong, and that was Carmelo Anthony. Sure, he was scoring, no doubt. But the fact that he was missing a lot of shots, helped nobody.
At the end of the half, Cavs had already taken a 16-point lead, which they continued to improve in the third and the forth.
Middle of the forth, Byron Scott switched his whole lineup to bench players, and it was a bad move, as Anthony and Davis went to work. Luckily, he was smart enough to put Brooks in aswell, to keep some balance.
The game finished however with Brooks played to the three point line, and left to a wide open shot, which set his new career-high in points, as he improved it by one point.
Cleveland did something amazing, as now, back at home, they have a chance to win the series. The game ended 69-57.

Brooks and S-Jax lead the team to the semi-finals
With Cleveland taking the lead in the series, their game back at home would be a killer one. The fans were so wild, that a few of them were sent out of the arena.
Knicks were getting motivated by their main man, as Melo had one thing to say: "We can do this, we have been here before. Lets take this game, and finish it out in the finals." It wasn`t that easy though. as Brooks and Jackson still came to play.
Cavaliers were playing some proper basketball, but Knicks always found their shots against them. Mostly for the turnover problems, Knicks always held a 2-5 point lead.
But some really wicked plays from everyone on the Cavs roster kept them in the game. Gibson came off the bench and scored 8 straight points, Thompson with some major dunks on Stoudemire. However, Carmelo was still feeling it, as his shot was hitting in the face of Jackson.
The game however got tense in the end, as the Cavaliers were down by 6 in the last 20 seconds. MarShon Brooks brought the ball over, and hit a fadeaway three in Shumperts face, to get the game to single digits.
By then, Irving stole the inbound pass and threw it out to Jamison, who hit a major clutch three to tie it up. The fans went wild, with 8.2 seconds left on the clock, the Cavaliers were back in it.
From the inbound play, Baron Davis played himself to the paint, where he got blocked by Varejao. Time for Overtime!
Rightly so, the Knicks still kept on pulling it away, but after every bucket they scored, Cavaliers scored aswell. With a minute remaining, Jackson made a huge dunk to take a two point lead, and blocked Stoudemire on the other end.
After that, Irving was sent to the line to hit two of them, which he did, and the Cavaliers won the game and the series 77-73

Jackson has no problems as Cavaliers take Game 1
Second round of the playoffs, Orlando had defeated the mighty Bulls, and Cleveland sent Melo and Amare back home. Still, these two teams have a huge history against eachother, as the last time they met, Kyrie Irving drilled a fadeaway to win the game.
This time however, the game started off a bit different. Stephen Jackson pulled up a fadeaway to start the game off early, but after that, things went a bit quiet. Brooks started playing the offensive game, while Nelson tried to match up with him point to point.
A few twos from Cavaliers bench got them a early lead, but things got even more boring in the second quarter, as the teams only scored under double digits. After that, it was totally different.
Brooks hit a huge dunk on Howard to get the crowd wild, while Dwight started doing his thing by putting back missed shots. Stephen Jackson came up huge, as with his help, the team took a 13 point lead.
His fadeaway was on fire, as he was the toughest guy to guard. However, the shooting of Turkoglu and Redick still kept Magic in the game, and only 2 points behind.
However, just like last time, a forth quarter hero stepped up, as Kyrie Irving hit all of his points in the forth. The way Nelson got outplayed was not for his liking, as he had no chance of guarding him.
In the end, Cavaliers took the game 66-62, and also took the series lead.
