Magic trade for athleticism bring in Williams and Lee from Rockets
The Orlando Magic traded Hedo Turkoglu and Daniel Orton for Terrence Williams, Courtney Lee and Hasheem Thabeet.
Williams did not get many playtime since he was traded from the Nets to the Rockets. The Magic are going to give him the chance to proof himself to the end of the season. He should be another option offensively and bring some athleticism to the Magics game.
Orlando also brought back their 2008 first round Draft pick Courtney Lee. In addition to that the Magic will aquire young big man Hasheem Thabeet. The Trade:
"I decided not to blow up the whole team yet. So i made a minor trade which should give me some more depth and versatility. Due to my very good record i did not want to do too many changes.
Bringing in a star next to Dwight Howard would have cost me half of my team and assets, i rather prefer to go on with this team one more time and make bigger changes in 12/13."

The "Indecision" is officially over !"
All rumors lapsed today when Dwight Howard signed his long term extension with the Orlando Magic. Howard is going to stay with the team at least 6 additional years!
Unverified trade stories ran arround all season long and bothered the whole team. Now this all ends and the Orlando Magic can focus on basketball and their run for the playoffs.
Dwight Howard signed a long term contract that gives him 121.68 Million dolllars over the next 6 years. Almost 140 Million within the next 7 years.
Howard believes he can win a title with the Orlando Magic and fully trust in the organisation.
This annoncement could not come to a better point, the 2012 All Star Game is held in Orlando on Saturday.

Good Bye Jameer ,
Thank You for the years !
Magic acquire Raymond Felton
Two days before the Trading-Deadline the Orlando Magic part ways with their longtime leading Point Guard Jameer Nelson.
Nelson was drafted in 2004 and never played for another team than the Orlando Magic. He had his best years in 2008 and 2009 before a serious shoulder injury threw him back in his progress.
The Magic confirmed a trade with the Portland Trailblazers , Orlando will acquire Raymond Felton in exchange for Jameer Nelson, Justin Harper, Von Wafer and a 12' 1st round pick.
Felton played for several teams in the last two years. It won't be easy for him to change scenery again and settle down with the Magic. Felton is supposed to play his first game against the Milwaukee Bucks on Feb 21st 2012. The Magic gave up alot and expectations are high on him.
The Portland Trailblazers who already traded for Steve Nash as their starting PG are going to use Nelson as a backup. The Trade
" It was not easy to give up Jameer Nelson, but in the last games i felt i need to upgrade my Point Guard position. Felton is a lot stronger, faster and still has much potential left. Furthermore i lost Nelsons 2 year contract to get Feltons 1 year expireing contract.
This gives me more possibilities in the offseason."

Spurs blow Roster for rebuilding
It is the big deal for this years' trading deadline. The San Antonio Spurs blow their roster and give it up for the season. The Spurs are currently 11th in the West (20-34) without a chance to make the Playoffs.
San Antonio prepairs for the post Duncan era and they plan without Tony Parker. In an unexpected deal the Spury send Tony Parker to the Pistons in exchange for Brandon Knight and Ben Gordon.
Furthermore the Spurs send James Anderson and Richard Jefferson back to New Jersey for the expireing contract of Mehmet Okur.
