Cavs just suffered another defeat from the Eastern Conference Champs

From Detroit, the band of Cavaliers traveled to Boston to face off Paul Pierce crew to redeem some pay back after a home loss just weeks ago from the Celtics. The start was a heated exchange of goals from both team until the end of second half with Cavs having a 1 point lead. Then the start of 3rd Quarter just became so brutal for the Cavs as they suffered from the hands (blocks) of Kevin Garnett and Kendrick Perkins. Strong defense continues to show at Boston until 4th Quarter that really let RJ and Antawn Jamison find some in court goals. The game ends with a score of 90 - 110. "Once again, we lost our composure at the second half. Pressure is our problem and maybe lack of offensive power. We need to go back to Cleveland and try to find a way on how to solve this problem", Jamison told the press during his rest inside the locker room. Paul Pierce made an impressive work with 10/15 Field Goals in his stats.

I believe that's a new rookie record by Wall. Tough losses.

Mo really needs to step up his defense man. Harris and Wall absolutely torched you guys on the offensive end, while putting up some incredible assist numbers at the same time. It's good to see that you were able to bounce back in those last three bouts though. (Y)

Damn. John Wall must've driven you up the wall. At least you bounced back well and now you're on a 3-game winning streak. (Y)

The Cavs gets #52 instead of #50

Cleveland just did the unthinkable and gets Greg Oden

The obsession over Emeka Okafor had finally ended after several attempts to get the strong center from New Orleans. GM Chris Grant then pulled out the Plan B that involves the Utah Jazz and Portland Trailblazers in a 3 team transactions. The three team had a trade where the Blazers gets Memo Okur and Jannero Pargo, while the Jazz receives Antawn Jamison and DeAndre Jordan and the Cavs able to acquire the rights of Greg Oden and CJ Miles. Now the Cavs have a added a defensive power on Greg Oden but the big disadvantage for them is losing a strong offensive player on Antawn Jamison and looks like Anthony Parker is going to work as a back up Point Guard again after losing Jannero Pargo. "I am pretty disappointed with the transaction. I would really like to help the Cavs get the ring before the King, but I respect their decision, now I have a new goal and that is to help Deron Williams rebuild the Jazz. Cavs though had lowered their cap space and this transaction will get Blake Griffin more time. Now the team's new starting line up will be Oden, Griffin, Richardson, Miller and Mo.

Well the Jazz could be a mini-powerhouse with Kirilenko, D-Will, Jamison and Al Jefferson.

Oh... I forgot to tell you guys, I haven't updated the trades in the roster when I restarted the game, :( that means, Al Jeff is still in Minnesota and Hedo stays in Toronto

Solid acquisition. (Y) Maybe now players from other teams won't score 40+ points on you.

Very nice. A team of injury prone former #1 picks. Now you need to shore up your frontcourt with Elton Brand and Kenyon Martin!

good job on acquiring oden. as long as he doesn't get injured, i think everything will be good for you (Y)

Hopefully Oden will help you turn things around. Be wary of making too many trades though, you'll constantly be adjusting to new players and sometimes it can ruin the experience. But good luck. :)

Cavs is on the roll

That would be my last trade for the season. Hopefully they won't get injured when I sim the game.

Cleveland blasts down Bucks

The Cav's on going strong momentum continues after beating the visiting Bucks with a score of 110-94. The Cav's made an early lead after going into an 8-0 run at the first quarter. The team continues to spoil the Buck's visit until the end of half time that put the Cav's into rest at the break. The third quarter shows the Bucks some strong defense and made some hustle points but that didn't let them come close behind the tough Cavaliers. Though RJ's presence wasn't in the game anymore, the Cavs continues to come up strong with Mo Williams doing some assits and Greg Oden finding some field goals. At the end, the Cavs were happy with Mike Miller being the player of the game. "It was another impressive performance for the team, I think we are coming strong as the days goes by. Sadly, looks like RJ will be out for days after spraining his thumb. This will be a new challenge for us without him.", Mike Miller said during a post-game conference.

Breaking News: Pacers sent Danny Granger in exchange for Chauncey Billups

Indiana Pacers just found a strong point guard in their newly acquired all star, Chauncey Billups from Denver. The team had Billups in exchange for their franchise star, Danny Granger. This will give Nuggers additional scoring power but looks like somebody needs to step up and fill in Granger's shoes for the Pacers.

Re: Dark Age: Cavs is in a tough situation without RJ

Wed Aug 11, 2010 3:03 am

Sucks that you lost against the Lakers. Their upgrade from the off-season seems to benefit them a lot. I don't think that Billups-Granger trade is a good one, it leaves either team weak at the position their star once filled.

Re: Dark Age: Cavs is in a tough situation without RJ

Guess the Nuggets have a lot of confidence in Ty Lawson to make that trade. Or let's say they do, since we know the AI doesn't always made trades that make a lot of sense. ;)
