It's not really necessary to get permission, especially if you are sticking with daily recaps. My Hawks dynasty had stripped down X-style recaps, while the bulk of Nellieball's recaps are a refinement on Chaser's Warriors recaps. Go with whatever works.

Yeah, just let it go. The body of thought is also common knowledge. In any way we are all taking our ideas from dynasties we read years ago. Looking forward to your trade (Y)

It's unfortunate that all of these associations have been starting up again; I've been really inspired by them and I'd like to join in on the fun but my laptop's been on life support ever since I've been getting the blue screen of death for the past month.

Well anyway, enough of me rambling....

First Name: Henry
Last Name: Ly
College/Country: Canada
Age (Minimum of 19): 19
Jersey Number: 11
Dominant Hand: Left
Primary Position: PG
Secondary Position (optional): SG
Play Style (e.g scoring, defensive, pass-first): all-around
Personality (Neutral, Expressive, Unpredictable or Laid Back): Laid back.
Height: 6'7
Weight (145 minimum): 185
Skin Tone (1-6 [1 being darkest]): 3
Muscle Tone (Buff or Ripped): ripped
Hair Style/Color: buzz cut short, black.
Facial Hair Style/Color: none
Tattoos:none
Accessories: long socks and headband
5 best attributes (e.g shot close, pass, steal, 3pt shot, dunk): close shot, quickness, speed, ballhandling, dunking
5 next best attributes: mid range shot, passing, FT shooting, defensive rebounding, defensive awareness
Another 5 best attributes: stealing, 3 point shot, offensive awareness, inside scoring, vertical
Shooting style: J.R. Smith

So yeah, just picture a Chinese poor man's Brandon Roy/Ronnie Brewer hybrid who's more of a pure point guard.

Nice work so far, keep it up. The Blazers are my second favourite team next to the Raptors, so I hope you do them justice.

Okay thanks guys for entering as a draftee and such.. Sorry I've been a little bit MIA in the last few days, I had a bit on. But now I'm back and ready to continue this. I've already played the remainder of this week so I'm just going to put the remaining days into one recap..

Roy wins at buzzer, overcomes slow start

Image

Brandon Roy was the hero in this one

Image Image

Brandon Roy and Rudy Fernandez lead their team out of a hole which they dug for themselves early in the first quarter. Fernandez would be the man to put in most of the work during the first 3 quarters in an effort to keep the Blazers in the game, while Brandon Roy would step up in the final quarter to power the Blazers into a winning position and sink the final shot at the buzzer to win the game. Again Greg Oden had another high quality showing, with 13 points and 13 rebounds, while Steve Blake contributed a season high 14 assists. Top performers for the Spurs were Manu Ginobili with 26 points and Tony Parker, who added 16 points and 13 assists. The Blazers play next on Sunday vs The Timberwolves in Portland to end their 3 game home stand.

News:
- Team sources from the Sacramento Kings and Phoenix Suns have told ESPN that Kevin Martin and Grant Hill have both been placed on the trading block, respectively
- The New York Knicks have signed Jerry Stackhouse to a 1yr/$724K contract deal
- The first trade of the season has occurred, and it has involved the Portland Trailblazers and the Detroit Pistons. Portland receive guard Richard Hamilton, whereas Detroit will receive guard Andre Miller, forward Juwan Howard plus a second round draft pick from both the 2010 and 2011 rookie drafts. Kevin Pritchard commented on the roster movement saying, "We believe this is a good trade for both sides, with Detroit receiving a good experienced point guard to help mentor some of the younger players and in return we get Rip Hamilton, who is a very accomplished player with a championship ring and can help take this team to the next level." When Nate McMillan was asked about trading away Miller he explained that "It was a mutual decision with both parties feeling that Andre did not fit into our style of play and therefore could not play to his full potential. We wish him the best of luck with Detroit." Miller lasted only 6 regular season games with the Trailblazers before being offloaded.

Oh nice trade, im not sure about everyones view of it, but I love it. Big fan of Rip, will give you that extra scorer. Although it will be interesting to see where he fits in. IMO hes a starter through and through so should probably take that starting SF role for you, or you could go big if the situation demands and have him at the 2 and Roy at PG. Rip could very well be that missing piece needed to get past those top West teams.

For the Pistons its not too bad a trade in terms of talent. Dre will probably work alright with Stuckey in the back court. Also gets them a shorter contract that doesnt last as long so financially its good too. Just will hurt them losing Rip who has been key for them since he arrived.

Thanks yeah I thought it was probably the most realistic trade I could do to offload Miller and get the type of player that I wanted and needed. I'm going to bring Rip off the bench in his first game as a Blazer, but I he plays well and I feel comfortable with him, then he'll jump straight into the starting line-up. I just hurts a lot to cut a guy from the starters, especially when I'm really pleased with how it is at the moment..

I like that you gave up a lot for Rip (i.e. adding Howard and two 2nd rounders). Still I don't like the trade at all, sry :)

I think with Roy, Webster, Batum and Rudy you have a big load of good wing scorers. Whereas on PG you only have Blake and Bayless now. I guess you like Bayless otherwise the trade would not make sense.
I always thought the Blazers had such a good squad that you did not need to do any trades ...

As a Blazer fan, I think shipping Blake would have been the better idea. Miller is starting to gel with Roy in the starting lineup and you can always bring in Bayless as a change of pace guard when you want Roy to handle the ball more often. I'm fairly meh about Hamilton because he's getting up there in age, but as long as it can give Bayless more playing time I'm not too unhappy though.

I'm digging the picture for the recap as well.

hova-, well that's fair enough. Yeah I know the team has a lot of wing scorers and the team was pretty good as it was, but I just wasn't enjoying playing with Miller at all. He wasn't getting many assists and he can't shoot.

Thierry., Thanks yeah Rip is 6th and Bayless will be backing up for Blake..

Its_asdf, I see what you mean with trading Blake instead of Miller, but I really enjoy playing with Blake. He suits my style of play a lot more. I have played my first game with Rip now and I felt really comfortable playing with him and feel that I made the right decision..

Very interesting trade, I've got to say on the surface, being a pistons fan, I spat at the sight of this trade. Three PGs just didn't go down well, but i think (speaking in terms of real life) with Stuckey's inability to run the point but tremendous offensive improvement this could mean that Andre and Will share most of the time at PG, Stuckey plays at SG with Gordon and then to make sure that Gordon and Stuckey get enough game time, Stuckey can also play a bit at the one. Its also an excellent move for the blazers because with Bayless' continued improvement he can now see more game-time although i struggle to see how you're going to fit adequate game-time for Blake, Bayless, Roy, Hamilton Batum, Fernandez and Outlaw (if you play him at SG) into one rotation. In my Pistons association, I'm coming close to the deadline I am considering dealing Hamilton for a veteran PG, who has an EC (if one exists) and then moving Stuckey around (although he is averaging 23.8/9.3/4.2 so that could backfire. Nonetheless, I think the new recap style looks far better then the old one and I wouldn't be concerned about writing in a concise form. After all with so many associations, I think your somewhat distinct style (warranted, it has been adopted from others (credit hova)) will continue to attract an audience. Keep the updating frequent Tomcat and 9/10 (maybe not a realistic trade because of Hamilton’s loyalty and contract and Detroit commitment to Stuckey but still (Y)) on the trade! :applaud:
