Good win against the Magic, one heck of a game for Altair. Maybe you should lower they alley oop slider a bit

thats what I can say from the highlighs. Nice shot at LeBron, the proclaimed "King" ^^.
Looking forward to the NYC battle.

After my last game with the Wizards (Re-cap will be up shortly), I definitely need to lower the alley - oop sliders. Everything else is working decent enough for the game to stay competitive while using player lock and the scores are falling in to place with 10 minute QTR's. The Knicks vs Saint's game will be a big one.... unfortunately the Knicks have started out 0-3. I was hoping they would start off better with the new, re-vamped team they have, but so far they are bottom feeders of the east. Lebron is averaging only 16 points, but he is dishing out 11 assists per game and pulling down 6 rebs.
I also think I ran into a glitch. When I look at the knick's stats, it shows they are 2-1... but in the conference standings it shows they are 0-3?
Sat Dec 12, 2009 8:37 pm
Maybe you should play with the shot tendencies of LeBron and his teammates to get more realistic numbers. About the glitch ... sounds like a stupid bug.

Brooklyn @ Washington

NBA on TNT / Thanksgiving 3 game SpecialErnie : A good first game to start off our thanksgiving 3 game show. Kenny... how big was Butler tonight for Washington?Kenny : He was huge. He was the biggest difference in this game tonight. The Saint's had no answer for him, and Arena's was playing smart and getting him the ball.
Barkley : I want to know who the heck this Alexander guy is. I think its the first time i've ever seen a 26 year old rookie in the league. I mean... where the hell did this guy come from?Kenny : Yeah... he played good tonight. I was impressed with his play.
Ernie : He was impressive in just his 3rd game. The question I have for you guys is; are either of the teams playoff teams?
Kenny : No... not this year.
Barkley : Neither of these teams are playoff teams. Their both at the bottom of the eastKenny : I think both teams are missing a couple veteran pieces. With some veteran leadership these teams could be playoff teams in a couple of years.
C-Webb : I think Washington's a playoff team this year. I think they will get the 7 or 8 spot. I like the team when Arenas is healthy and Butler play like he did tonight.Barkley : They didn't play nobody tonight Webb. The Saint's are nobodies in the East. You want to impress me, win against Boston or Orlando... that will impress me.
Kenny : The Saints just beat Orlando last night.... does that impress you?Barkley : Every dog has its day.
Ernie : Alexander is averaging over 27 points and 11 assists this season...... as a rookie does he remind you of anyone?
Kenny : I think he's like an Iverson that can pass the ball.
Barkley : He reminds me of Jayson Williams when he was with the Kings. You know how everyone thought he was going to be the next big time PG... look what happened to him.
C-Webb : I played with Jayson... and nothing I saw from Alexander tonight reminds me of him. I agree with Kenny, I think this guy is a good enough shooter to make an impact for this team right now.
Ernie : Alright, we have to break, but when we come back its the Nuggets @ the Trailblazers, right here on the NBA on TNT.

The Saint's are waiting in the DC airport, getting ready to board their plane. Alexander sits slouched in his seat, listening to his Zune. He is half asleep when a man in a suit approaches him.
Chauffeur : Mr. Alexander....
Alexander : Yeah... whats up?
Chauffeur : Mr. Jay-Z would like to speak with you in private.
Alexander : Um... alright...
The chauffeur takes Alexander through a private terminal and escorts him aboard a private jet. Jay-Z sits in an oversized leather seat smoking a cigar. Alexander sits across from him.
Jay : (Speaking to the Chauffeur) Alright... we good. Tell the pilot we can take off now.
Jay : Whats up Ali? What you listening to there.....
Alexander : Nas, Illmatic.
Jay : Aight.... Nas is aight....
Jay flips though scouting reports. Alexander doesn't know what to think of this and is slightly confused....
Jay : So you played good tonight.... to bad we couldn't get the win
Alexander : Yeah... we played decent but we just didn't have enough to finish them off in the 4th.
Jay : You should of finished em.
Alexander : Excuse me? I think I played pretty hard....
Jay : Nah... you let them have it. You rely to much on some of your team-mates. You were hot all night..... why didn't you take the last shot?
Alexander : I felt Lopez was the hottest at the time.... i thought he could do it.
Jay : It alright.... I just wanted to let you know that you could of done it.
Alexander : Ok.......
Jay : I need you to do me a favor Ali,
Alexander : Whats that?
Jay : I need you to tell me what you need in order to win?
Alexander : I just need more time.... we can win, we just need to execute better.
Jay : Bull shit.... you need someone else to help
Alexander : I like the line up we have.... I just think they need some experience.
Jay : If you could get a better player anywhere on the court.... where would it be?
Alexander : Um... I guess it would be SF.. but Gomes is decent
Jay : Thats what I was thinking..... you need a Pippen type player to complement you and Lopez.
Alexander : Your going to make a trade?
Jay : Im not sure yet.... but pieces are on the table. Now you should get some sleep, we'll be back in NY in about an hour.
Sun Dec 13, 2009 12:24 am
My bad. When did you acquire Gomes?
Great game by Altair

Alexander walks out of the Saint's practice Facility. He is going off to lunch and then on his way to the airport. The Saint's have a game in Charlotte on the 2nd of November, they will try to get their 2nd win of the season. Alexander puts the key into the door of his car when he here's a voice over his shoulder,
Ron : Good game the other night vs Washington man...
Alexander does not turn around, and just says,
Alexander : Thanks man....
Ron : Your brother Marcus would have been proud.
Alexander turn around to see who it is. Its Ron Artest...
Alexander : Ron? What are you doing here man?
Ron : Just passing through.... seeing some family.
Alexander and Ron shake hands. It's been 13 years since they last seen each other.
Ron : You he always thought you were going to be better than him.
Alexander : I don't know about that... I always thought he was better than Jordan.
Ron : Yeah man... he was good.
Alexander : Man.... im stuck dog. I mean, I haven't seen you since... since...
Ron : Since the funeral man..... I think we have both seen better days since then.
Alexander : True,... true...
Ron : So how you like being back home man? You went by the Park at all, give those cats a holla?
Alexander : (laughs), nah man.... 'ole Skip to my Lou keeps trying to get me to go down there.... he's trying to recruit me for his EBC team next summer.
Ron : (laughs) Fuck that man.... his team is garbage man. You should defiantly play though. Its good fun and you'll gain some street rep.
Alexander : Yeah... I might...
Ron : You know Marcus was the King down there right? Him, Tinsely, Sealy, and my used to own that court man.
Alexander : Yeah man... I remember. Sealy was always pissed off because Marcus would never pass him the ball (laughs)
Ron : Yeah man... Malik was like that... god bless em...
Alexander : So what you doing right now man? Im on my way to lunch, you want to roll?
Ron : Nah man... I got to catch a flight.... damn Phil Jackson will be pissed if I don't make tonight's practice.
Alexander : Alright man... it was good to see you.
Ron : You to man.... and just remember, if you ever need something just let me know. Marcus was like a brother to me... that makes you a brother to me.
Alexander : I feel ya man.... you take care.
Ron : Peace

Gomes was part of the trade that Sent Harris to Minnesota.

I love the story
Drausus, I can't really think a friendship with Artest is going to do anything but get Altair in trouble though.

You have come straight into the NBA and you're dominating, well done.
Sun Dec 13, 2009 7:59 pm
Haha, Altair has the best friends I guess. Maybe he can meet with his old friend Zach Randolph and have a word with his Mentor Derrick Coleman

Nice story, man!
Mon Dec 14, 2009 3:20 am
As Lightning said, I don't know if a friendship with Ron Ron will help Altair
Tue Dec 15, 2009 7:06 pm
Great story dude, I saw when you started it but havent really checked in till just now. Cool idea with the saints, your created player is doing really well, although I hate to see you beat the Magic

Good luck when you play the Knicks, I hope you school the "King".

lol... I guess the verdict is in and the Ron friendship isn't a hit!! Don't worry guess, it is a much needed friendship that will set up a scenario later down the line. Im not going to give it away.... but expect to see something that you haven't seen in a 2k Dynasty thread before.
Glad you guys are liking it. Saint's vs Bobcats re-cap is coming up today.

NBA Fastbreak on ESPNMike : How about the game from Alexander tonight? Thins guy seem's to be taking the league by storm this year.
Tim : What he has done to help the Saint's win is amazing. He has shown us so far he can score from anywhere, he can pass the ball and help get his teammates involved and he can play good enough defense to compete on that end of the court.
Jalen : The thing that impresses me is the calmness he has shown on the floor. A lot of rookies get nervous and make bad decisions in the clutch time, but Alexander has been playing un-startled so far and it has help get the Saint's some must wins early in the season.
Mike : The only 8 players in history to start off better than Alexander - Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, Wes Unseld, Elvin Hayes, Larry Bird, Oscar Robertson, Lew Alcindor, and Wilt Chamberlain. A good group to join, and we will be watching to see if he can keep up the pace when Denver visit's Brooklyn 2 nights from now.

What the hell is going on with Tyson Chandler. For my Cats, he is averaging under 5 points per game and throws bricks from everywhere.
Alexander's on his rise. Maybe he can make the ASG. That would be lovely. Seeing his names next to these legends - not bad!

Yeah that's happening with my Blazers too. The Bobcats are 2-6 I think... not sure... but he's averaging like 4 points and 6 rebounds.

I would not say I am not satisfied with him. He's the league's 6th best rebounder with 10.9 per game. But he can't score. His only move is the dunk, but when I try to lay it in from under the basket or anyway he won't hit it.

Very good game by Alex again. But Melo was so hot. Very nice to get some Common into my ears. Good song choice

94.7 Sports Beat (NY)
Doc B : We welcome in now, the Queens Born and raised Michael A Smith.
Mike : Hey there, how you doing today B?
Doc B : Im doing good Michael, how are you?
Mike : Im good man... NBA season is heating up and im loving it.
Doc B : Well lets get right to it then. I want to keep it in NY right now. We have the Knicks at 2-5 and the Saint's at a surprising 3-3. Whats going on with these teams right now?
Mike : I think the Knicks are just learning to play together right now. You have some new pieces on that team that have yet to really click. I think donw the road this team is going to find their flow and begin putting more wins on the board. Lebron is playing great with over 20 PPG, 7 ast, and 7 rebs per game. It's just a matter of time before this team really makes a move in the East and I predict they end up with the 4 or 3 seed.
Doc B : I agree, we have seen glimpses of greatness from this team, its just a matter of time before we start seeing it on a nightly basis.
Mike : Now... about the Saint's? Im not sure that this team is for real yet. They still need to prove to me that the players coming off the bench can make an impact in the game and they need to close out some of their close games. I think there about a 7 or 8 seed in the East.
Doc B : Alexander is playing great and he's really keeping that team competitive.... but what do you think about the comments he made on the subject that "Lebron is the self-proclaimed King"? All this after Lebron said the Saint's aren't anything to worry about this year.
Mike : I think it's a rookie running his mouth when he should be worrying about other things. Lebron has showed time and time again that he is the best in the NBA and for a rookie to question that doesn't hold a lot of water. About the comments from Lebron, he can say what ever he wants. He's the best player in the League and he's earned the right to run his mouth.
Doc B : Now... here in NY we seem to have people arguing everyday on who is the King of NY basketball. We did a poll and the numbers may surprise you.
Mike : Let me hear it?
Doc B : 68% think Lebron is the King.... but surprisingly Alexander is getting some respect and pulls out 32%. What do you think?
Mike : I think those people that voted for Alexander need to get off the pipe. Only an Idiot would vote against Lebron. He's the complete player, he has been to 1 NBA finals and he's taken home 1 MVP. What has Alexander done? Nothing.... so he and his fans need to shut there mouths and start watching more basketball.
Mon Dec 21, 2009 6:56 pm
Haha. Alexander's the king. But he had only 15 and 7 in the last game. Still good enough to win the game. Good to hear some Lupe
Tue Dec 22, 2009 1:45 am
Forgot to check before. What a game by Carmelo!
Wed Dec 23, 2009 2:04 pm
Going to scrap this. Seems there is not a lot of interest and doing a My Player story really isn't that fun. I think I would be better off with a association. I can detail more players than just 1, I can do some trades as the GM and I think it would just be more enjoyable. Im not sure which team I will use.... maybe the Lakers? I thank the few of you that stuck around for giving me feedback.... hopefully the Assoc will go longer, farther and be more enjoyable for the community.
Wed Dec 23, 2009 6:34 pm
Tough to see this one ending. But I understand you, since it seems to be quite easy to get a good player and after that you cannot make any further decisions in the game.
