MIAMI, FL - The Miami Heat ended their first month of play in style, defeating the surprisingly struggling Boston Celtics in a laugher of a game, 103-64.
Seven Heat players scored in double figures. Dwyane Wade had 15, Mario Chalmers had 11 points and 7 assists and Daequan Cook also scored 11.

Jermaine O'Neal, Udonis Haslem and Luc Mbah a Moute all had 10.
Michael Beasley scored 9, Quentin Richardson had 7 points in garbage time, and Jerome James also scored 7. The only player who didn't score was Josh Powell.
No Heat player took more than 9 shots.
Miami came out of the gates really hot, scoring the first 8 points and put up a 17-4 advantage early. It stretched to twenty, 50-30, at halftime after Chalmers beat the buzzer on a three-point attempt. As the game wore on, the larger the lead stretched until it's widest margin which was the final score.
The Celtics are an unusually struggling bunch, with this loss dropping their record to 4-7 and are currently number 9 in the Eastern Conference.
All across the board this was a laugher of a game. The deficit was 39, the Heat shot 66% compared to the Celtics' 31%, Miami had 36 assists compared to only 16 for Boston, and Miami scored 70 points in the paint while Boston only scored 32. Miami's bench even put up a staggering 49-12 advantage.
Ray Allen led the Celtics in scoring but shot only 5-of-17, along with Kevin Garnett, who scored 16. Paul Pierce scored only 10 and shot 4-of-12. Boston couldn't even set up their offense thanks to Miami's excellent defense, and held point guard Rajon Rondo to 1 point and 6 turnovers.

REPORT: Knicks offering Lee for Beasley ![]()
DENVER, CO - The Miami Heat have arrived in Denver for their first of a two-game road trip and already there are reports that have raised questions higher than the city's altitude.
There are reports within sources in the team that the Miami Heat have been in talks with the New York Knicks, and the Knicks have reportedly offered David Lee in exchange for the inconsistent Michael Beasley.
Nothing has been confirmed from either side yet as both parties have declined to comment.
TheDee wrote:I Say,take Lee,hes way better in the Paint, and can give you huge numbers in Rebounds.

hova- wrote:Beasley has a better repertoire on offense. And people always tend to forget that David Lee is not so good on D. His blocking stat has always been ridiculous. Keep and develope Beasley.
kaiser_kobe wrote:Go for Lee!haha, just to warm the debate...but seriously, i prefer Lee because he's a rebounding machine plus a little bit on offense...on the other side, Beasley is more athletic and has high leaps...how bout JO for Lee plus scrubs?

Dwyane Wade blocks Carmelo Anthony![]()

DENVER, CO - One month into the season, there have been critics and fans saying that Dwyane Wade has been quiet with regards to his play with the Heat. As a response, in the first game in the second month, he made sure to prove those naysayers wrong.
Wade had two huge plays late down the stretch to push the Miami Heat past the Denver Nuggets, 84-81. He put on a scintillating performance, pouring in 33 points, 4 rebounds and 7 assists on 15-of-19 shooting.
With the teams 76-76 late into the fourth quarter, and the Heat on tired legs due to the mile-high altitude, Mario Chalmers was able to force a turnover and fed Wade for a dunk which gave them the lead at 78-76. A few possessions later, Carmelo Anthony appeared to hate a clear lane to the basket but Wade stripped him of the ball and converted on a three-point play to give Miami more breathing space, 81-76.
Big plays by Denver including a three-pointer by Chauncey Billups pulled Denver to 82-81, but with 16.4 seconds left Wade threw one down to put it at 84-81. Billups missed a potential game-tying three pointer as time expired.
Jermaine O'Neal scored 17 points, and Udonis Haslem scored 8 and pulled down 11 rebounds. Chalmers, who got extended minutes do to the D-League stint of Chris Tiu, didn't score but dished out 10 assists.
Carmelo Anthony led Denver in scoring with 22 but shot only 10-of-25 from the field.
The are now going for their first three-game winning streak this season.
NOTES: Chris Tiu made his D-League debut and scored 9 points and had 8 assists.
