Boxscores: [Wizards]|[Magic]-------<-Click->------Player of the Game: [Jameer Nelson]
Recap:
The Magic managed to bounce back from two losses in a row
with a strong performace of the supposedly playoff bound Washington Wizards.
The Magic played with a hunger during the first half, obviously eager to get the season back on track early on in the season.
The Magic scored and impressive 69 points in the first half to take a 18 point lead into the 3rd quarter.
From then on it was smooth sailing, still managing to score the same amount as the Wizards.
The win was mainly orchastrated by PG Jameer Nelson who has been on fire so far this season.
When asked about his form Nelso replied:
"Ive really been feeling good recently, my shot has been on and ive been able to create offense quite easily
if we keep playing like we did tonight we are going have a good season"
"Jameer has been playing amazing lately, on current form there aren't many other PG's as good as him in the L,
the was he has been playing reminds me of his Saint Joe's days" - Dwight Howard on Nelson's form.
Nelson scored an impressive 28 points while adding 5 assists, shooting 50%.
Dwight Howard bounced back from his poor game against the Hawks with 21 and 11.
Gilbert Areans kept pace with Nelson scoring 29 points and dishing out 6 assists.
4 other players (Jamison, Butler, Haywood and Stevenson) scored in double figures.

Nov 8: vs Seatle Supersonics (Played Game)

Boxscores: [Sonics]|[Magic]---------<-Click->--------Player of the Game: [Dwight Howard]
Recap:
Orlando continued their strong play from the previous game with a close win over Seattle.
The game was a close affair with the lead changing hands a total of 10 times.
The deciding factor was the strong inside play from Howard, especially in the 4th quarter.
The Sonics will be dissapointed with the loss as they managed to stick with the Magic for a lot of the game,
But after a strong 3rd quarter run by the Magic the lead stayed in Orlando's hand till the end.
Dwight Howard had a dominating performance with 27 points, 16 boards and 3 blocks.
Darius Miles continued to prove his value with 15 points on 5/5 shooting.

Nov 11: @ Minnesota Timberwolves (Played Game)

Boxscores: [Magic]|[Wolves]-------<-Click->-------Player of the Game: [Kevin Garnett]
Recap:
With Dwight Howard out many had counted the Magic out for this game.
But heading into the 4th it appeared that Orlando had proved them wrong, however that was when Kevin Garnett exploded.
KG went on to score 27 of the Wolves 43 points in the 4th quarter, totally exposing the Magic's interior defense.
The Magic looked to be playing well for the majority of the game, Darius Miles was playing well in Howards place,
Darko was nailing his inside shots, Nelson was terrorising the Wolves backcourt.
However once the Wolves got on a run at the start of the 4th the Magic never recovered, looking lost for the rest of the game.
KG had a huge game with 44 points and 20 rebounds, shooting 20-28 from the floor.
Ricky Davis played well with 17 points and 5 rebounds in 29 minutes.
Jameer Nelson once again led the Magic with 24 points a 7 assists.
Darius Miles had a great game with 15 points, 15 boards and 5 assists, playing all 5 positions during the game.
Media:

KG with the big dunk on Miles, then Miles getting his own back, it was an interesting battle when these two were matched up.

Relevant Rumors:

After 11 years in the league it looks like Grant Hill might be making this 12th his last.
Rumor started circulating recently that Hill was looking to finish it up at the end of this season
and after a bit of reasearch Assistant Head Coach Rafael Saez confirmed the that the rumor was true.
"Im a bit dissapoint Grant didnt talk to us about this first before letting it out to the media,
we would have liked to discuss it with him first as we would love for him to keep his career going
but its his decision and we will stick by him whatever he decides on." - Head Coach Brian Hill.
With this recent news, the trade the Magic recently made for Darius Miles looks even better as they
will have a swing man to fill Hill's void immediately if required.
Word has also been criculating that the Magic are looking to sign another Big man to help out when Howard or Milicic go down with Injury.
In the latest game the Magic were exposed down low by Garnett.
While there isnt any KG stopping talent in the Free Agent pool, simply another body to take fouls would be sufficient.
Possible signings are athletic forward Marcus Haislip and Veteran Brian Grant.
Haislip is apprently looking for a multiyear contract which may not suit the Magic, while Grant is looking for a 2 year deal.

Injury Report:
The Magic suffered two critical injuries this week.
Firstly on the 5th they lost rookie JJ Redick during the game against the Hawks.

This significantly hurts the Magic in the shooting department, especially from long range.
Redick will hoping to return for the first game next week against the Celtics.
The second injury was to 3rd year sensation Dwight Howard who went down during a foul vs the Pacers.

The Magic sorely missed Howard vs the Wolves as Garnett tore the paint up, many would expect Milicic to step up
but guarding players of Garnett's calibre may still be a bit above his skill level.
Howard will likely be out for the whole of the next week, expect to see Milicic start at PF and Battie take over at C.

Next Weeks Games:

This week is a lot easier on the Magic, they will finish their road trip
against the Celtics then head home to face the Nuggets and Bobcats.
Orlando will be hoping to win at least 2 of the 3 games, but without Howard this may be difficult.
