Nets Snap Utah's Four-Game Winning Streak
Coming off of a one-point loss to Miami, the New Jersey Nets looked to
rebound tonight against the Utah Jazz. Jason Kidd and Vince Carter
hooked up for 18 points in the first quarter as the Nets shot 53%
from the field after the first quarter of play. Utah picked up the
slack in the second quarter as Carlos Boozer scored 13 points
and C.J. Miles scored 9 points in the quarter off the bench in
the second quarter as the Jazz led 54-51 at the half.
It was all New Jersey in the second half, though, as the New Jersey
trio of Richard Jefferson, Vince Carter, and Jason Kidd combined
for 25 points in the fourth quarter. Nenad Krstic had a big game
with 16 points and 12 boards. Carlos Boozer scored a season-high
31 points, grabbed 13 rebounds, and picked up 4 assists in Utah's
first loss of the season. New Jersey's 18-23 [.783] and Utah's
3-6[.500] free-throw shooting determined the game and the Nets
got the best of it getting the win at home.
