Nets Snap Utah's Four-Game Winning Streak
Coming off of a one-point loss to Miami, the New Jersey Nets looked to
rebound tonight against the Utah Jazz. Jason Kidd and Vince Carter
hooked up for 18 points in the first quarter as the Nets shot 53%
from the field after the first quarter of play. Utah picked up the
slack in the second quarter as Carlos Boozer scored 13 points
and C.J. Miles scored 9 points in the quarter off the bench in
the second quarter as the Jazz led 54-51 at the half.

It was all New Jersey in the second half, though, as the New Jersey
trio of Richard Jefferson, Vince Carter, and Jason Kidd combined
for 25 points in the fourth quarter. Nenad Krstic had a big game
with 16 points and 12 boards. Carlos Boozer scored a season-high
31 points, grabbed 13 rebounds, and picked up 4 assists in Utah's
first loss of the season. New Jersey's 18-23 [.783] and Utah's
3-6[.500] free-throw shooting determined the game and the Nets
got the best of it getting the win at home.

Tough loss, but at the same time, like I always say, its good to lose now and then(Y) Makes the dynasty more realistic and in the long run probably more fun for you.

Sat Apr 29, 2006 3:53 pm

meh. a loss means the team cacn start another streak, so start another one :D

Sat Apr 29, 2006 3:56 pm

Yeah, it was a tough loss. We lost it from the free-throw line so now I know that's one thing that we must do to win: get to the free throw-line.

I'll give it all I can bud. I play Chicago in two games from now and I remember the last time I played the Bulls. Tyson Chandler blocked what would've tied the game up and, instead, we were forced to foul and lost by three or four points. Should be a good matchup

Utah Escapes the Raptors Late
Utah headed to Toronto to play the winless Raptors as they
continued their four-game road trip. Utah got off to a
great start but Toronto kept pace as they went to the
foul line often in the first. Charlie Villanueva scored
8 of his 14 points in the first quarter. Morris Peterson
and Carlos Boozer got into foul trouble and the Raptors
took advantage as they ended the first quarter with a
30-25 lead. In the second quarter, Carlos Boozer
scored 15 of his 30 points and the Jazz went into the
half with a six-point lead.

Meanwhile, in the fourth quarter, the Jazz gave up
their lead, the game was tied at 98 with just
under two minutes to go. Deron Williams came
up huge for Utah hitting a three-pointer as the
shot clock expired with twenty-four seconds to go
in the quarter. Toronto's Mike James tried to tie it
up with a three-point shot of his own but missed
and Morris Peterson got the rebound and the rest
is history as rookie Deron Williams went 4-4 in
the final seconds from the free-throw line.

Hey I like layout of your dynasty...pretty sweet! I know we're A LONG way from you completing your 21st game of your dynasty but when you do, please send me your player stat file(pstat) so I can compute your proficiency score for your team...if that's cool. I love your little preview 'ad-poster' it's nice and tight and get's to the point:

Will do. ;) It shouldn't be too long as summer is creeping up on me (something like 2 weeks left) and I'll be playing 2-3 games on average per day.
