[11/25/05, Memphis] - Lead by all star, Pau Gasol, the Grizzlies are coming into this game with a .500 record. The last game they played, on the 21 against Philidelphia, featured a double-double for the big man, as he finished the game with 26 points, and 12 boards. Unfortunately, even his top notch performance could not secure the win for the Grizzlies however, as they lost the game 107-99. "Coming into this one," said Frank, "our main goal is to shut down Gasol. If we do that, they don't really have many guys that can make up for his lack in scoring." If the Hawks lose this one, they'll lose their second in a row, and fall to 5-3.

Hawks Close Out the Game
The first half was nothing short of domination on the Hawks part, and it was probably due to the fact that Gasol only scored 3 points. In the first quarter, the forward didn't take a shot, and in the second attempted only two field goals. The Hawks came out of the locker room for the third quarter without missing a beat, maintaining their lead until a late surge cut the lead to 8 (63-55) at the intermission. The Hawks, thinking they had taken Gasol out of his groove, were not prepared for the explosion he had in the fourth. The Grizzlies began feeding the ball to the big man on almost every possession and he wasn't dissapointing. He put down a controlling 18 points in the quarter, while shooting 69% from the field (9/13). Although, despite Gasol's huge turn-around, the Hawks managed to hold on, having Salim execute on the free-throws to close it out. The final score was 92-83 for Atlanta.

On Atlanta's part, Joe Johnson was the high man with 24 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists. He was followed closely by Al Harrington who scored 21 points, and grabbed 14 boards, to get himself yet another double-double. Other notable performances were those of Nene (12 points, 10 rebounds), Salim Stoudemire (13 points, 3 assists), and Voshon Lenard (9 points).

For the Grizzlies, it was all Pau Gasol, as he scored 29 points, grabbed 9 rebounds, and had 2 blocks. Notables were Damon Stoudemire's (13 points, 3 assists, fouled out in fourth), Battier's (11 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists), and Eddie Jones' (9 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists) performances.

"I don't know. I just didn't want to force anything in early on, because it wasn't feeling right. But, in the fourth, I don't know, I just caught fire," said Gasol when asked about his performance after the game.

Well, that was your recap from Memphis. Catch the next one in Washington. Over and out.

Yeah... I decided to stick with Atlanta and see how it turns out.

Yeah, I put it there 'cause it looked like he was posing in a magazine or something with the lack of face expressions in this game.

Laxation wrote:nice win there, harrington and johnson had great game (Y) keep up the good stuff

Yeah. Harrington played great, but Nene completely owned Pau. Gasol had 2 quick fouls in the first and came out 'cause of Nene.

Thierry. wrote:Salim had a good game too. Nice job (Y)

lol Notice he only took like 8 shots from the field... he scored almost all his points from the line with under a minute to go.

Thanks man. Your Sacramento dynasty puts this one to shame though lol  .

Don't give this one up dude, you've put a lot of work in. The presentation is fantastic. You've given me a couple of ideas to add to my dynasty if you don't mind, I'm speaking mainly of the News update post and the posts that will feature ongoing information.

I like your presentation and I will definately follow this dynasty. I'm doing a dynasty with the Hawks to but I haven't posted it. One more thing you SHOULD NOT have traded Marvin Williams. But this is a great dynasty anyway.

The reason for no recaps or pics was because I played these games a while back and never bothered to get screens. These will hopefully be the only two half assed recaps.

Yeah, I had a bit of what I'd like to call a dry spell. I lost interest in this dynasty for a while, now I'm back into it.
