World Champs To Much For The Kings To Handle

The Sacramento Kings came in again into another game without their key gaurd Mike Bibby but this time it was against the best team in the NBA, the San Antonio Spurs. The Spurs had a impressing record of 9-1 comming into the game but after beating the Kings 106-97 they now are 10-1. The Kings battled their way throughout the game but it was the first quarter that got the Spurs up early outscoring the Kings 28-19. The Spurs added 28 more points before heading into halftime and the Kings were able to put only 24. The Spurs let the Kings make a run in the 3rd with the Kings scoring 32 points with the help of Bonzi Wells who had 12 in the quarter and 20 in the game. Then in the fourth the Spurs once again had an answer for the Kings closing out the game and winning it. The Kings had four starters in double figures including Peja with 22, Shareef and Wells with 20. Brad had a team high 13 rebounds to go along with his 16 points. The Kings now move on to 6-5 looking to get things back in the right track on wednesday against the Nets. Jason Hart will be questionable for the game.

Kings End New Jersey's Winning Streak

The Kings who played another game without their key player Mike Bibby knew it was going to be a challange stopping Jason Kidd and his team who had a impressing record of 8-2 before this game. The Kings gave it there all in this game after a dissapointing loss against San Antonio two days ago. It was the Kings this time starting off with a 12-0 run in the first quarter but then the Nets bounced back and tied the game 28-28 in the end of the first quarter. Then in the second quarter the Kings picked up the pace once again and had a mini run but outscored the Nets 31-27. Then in the third quarter the Nets came back with an answer with the help of Vince Carter who scored 15 points in the quarter and 27 in the game. But the Kings did not worry as they closed the game in the fourth quarter holding the Nets to only 19 points and scoring 32 themselves. Jason Kidd had a horrible game with only seven points and went 2-21 from the field but dished out 9 assists. The Kings bench was much more productive this time but the game was mostly Peja's who scored 31 points. Brad Miller also chipped in with 24 points and a season high 17 rebounds but unfortunatly injured himself in the 2nd quarter but came back. There isn't any news yet wheather he will be able to play the next game but the Doctor is in the process of examining his back injury. The Kings are once again at home against the Toronto Raptors on Friday.
