Good trade (Y) But in my opinion the Suns got the best part of it... only traded Grant and got Mo, Toni and Willie.

They also traded Diaw and House, and in the real Phoenix, Grant is their captain :P

lol... I didn't read the trade clearly :P Yeah House and Diaw traded to you. :)

knowing that makes it much better for me ;)

AL Jefferson wins Rookie MVP
In a win for Sophomore, Al Jefferson wins MVP

Bordering on a quadruple double, Al Jefferson fouled out before he had the chance to get the magic quadruple double, ending up with 15 points, 11 rebounds, 9 blocks and 8 assists.

Sophomore had the advantage with tall men, in Jefferson, Bierdrins, Howard and Okafor, yet had trouble filling the SF and guard positions during the game. On the other hand,
Andrew Bogut, the starting C for the rookies, had to play the majority of the game due to a lack of tall players in the Rookie side. Bogut had 16 points, 9 rebounds,3 assists and 3 blocks.
The guards Paul and Williams scored the majority of the points for rookies, with 24 and 30 respectively.

Andres Beidrins had 23 points for Sophomores,
Andre Iguodala had 26 and Okafor 24 on perfect shooting. Dwight Howard had 16 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists.

Bryant Wins in Tie-Breaker
Davis and Bryant both score 50, but Kobe takes away the trophy.

In a single dunk, single round contest, Ricky Davis was up first.

His original dunk hit the rim and bounced away, not counting as a dunk. He was allowed to replace it. On the replacement, the stood with his back facing the rim, then bounced it off the shotclock, followed off by a huge 360 slam. He recieved a perfect score of 50.

Okafor came next, and tucked the ball between his legs and he paused in the air, then slammed it down. Emeka received a score of 46 for his efforts. Next up was Dwight Howard, who decided to put the ball between his legs. Unforteunately, Howard scored only 49 for his fantastic dunk, and the pressure was on Kobe to score a 50 to be in the running for the trophy.

Bryant ran in from a 45 degree angle, and hung in the air as he held on for a massive 360 spin, delivered with precision, punctuation and great presentation. The judges all sent out 10's, and the dunk contest went into a tie-breaker round between Davis and Bryant.

In the next round, Davis seemed to have given up, and just did a boring, regulation dunk. He scored only 36 for it. Bryant didnt need to go out and do anything great, but he did anyway, for the fans. Coming in from the baseline, he brought the ball up with the right hand, then went under the legs to his left hand, then switched hands to slam it down with the right. Scoring another perfect 50, the 2006 Dunk Champion was crowned.

Your Help Needed

I have played the next 5 games, however I'm unsure how I will put them into my dynasty.
I will post a number of options, and if you could say which option you chose and why, it would be great.

A] Same format, links to pictures within the recap
B] Same recaps, but have pictures posted so you see them without clicking on a link
C] Same recaps, but posting links to pictures at the end of the recap
D] No recaps, just pictures
E] New recaps that focuses more on plays instead of scores (still have the pictures linked within the recap)

~ and ~

Should I continue the news format (website style) or type up news articles (normal posting style)

Cheers.

Mon Jan 09, 2006 10:23 pm

you got redd though he's enough 3 pt for the team, if you star korver you should still give david more court time

Mon Jan 09, 2006 11:46 pm

using that theory, i have korver and dont need redd.

im not starting davis, and probly never will becaus he doesnt fit as well into my gameplan as korver and redd do.

Mon Jan 09, 2006 11:58 pm

fine man ur loss, if started davis you could have another threat not just 3's

Wed Jan 11, 2006 12:20 am

Four Game Update

Milwaukee vs. Golden State

Baron Scores 45 Including Game-Winner
In a close, high-scoring game, Baron Davis dropped 45 points including the match-winning jumper with 5 seconds left.

Baron Davis was too quick, too powerful, and too good for T.J. Ford, and a tired Milwaukee team. Andrew Bogut and Al Jefferson both played in the All-Star and Rookie game, with T.J. Ford joining them in the rookie game. Korver and Redd were also both in the All-Star game, and Korver shot it out in the three-point contest. Ricky Davis had to show off his dunks on Saturday, and none of the Milwaukee starters were able to properly enjoy their weekend 'break.'

Andrew Bogut, whist scoring
11 points and 14 rebounds, blocked no shots, and allowed Baron Davis past him on countless occasions, unlike how he has been all season. Bogut also fouled out for the second time this season. Al Jefferson had 3 blocks, as well as a season high 26 points on near perfect, 10-11 shooting.
Kyle Korver and
Michael Redd both scored 20+ points, with 23 and 20 respectively. Korver shot nearly 50 percent from beyond the three-point line, yet only 1-6 from inside, and Redd was generally inaccurate from both places on court.

The two new members to Milwaukee,
Eddie House and Boris Diaw both had some decent court time, House took on his responsibility nicely, with 9 points and 5 assists, obviously having no trouble adjusting to his new team. Diaw on the other hand, was comparatively disappointing, scoring only 7 points and 1 rebound. Batista is on the inactive list, and it is likely he will stay there for the remainder of the season. Hunter had 8 rebounds in 9 minutes off the bench.

Troy Murphy was great on the boards, grabbing 19 rebounds as well as scoring 16 points. Unlike Jason Richardson, who was held to 2 points on 1-13 shooting,
Mike Dunleavy was hot from the court, scoring 19 points from 12 shots.
None of this matched up to Baron Davis'
excellent performance, as he drove into the lane and took outside shots to score 45 points on 17-30 shooting.
The rookie
Ike Diogu had 5 points and 2 rebounds.

Milwaukee travels to Cleveland next to take on their division rivals.

Bogut's Huge Second Half Takes Bucks to Win
Bogut takes over in the second half to repel Lebron James and his Cavaliers

Milwaukee bounced back from a close loss to Golden State to crush Cleveland, despite 23 from LeBron.

Andrew Bogut had a massive second half, compiling 20 points, 6 rebounds and 3 blocks, 14 points 4 rebounds and 3 blocks of it coming in the last quarter alone. Al Jefferson was helping him in the post, with 17 points and 11 rebounds.

Right from the outset of the game, it seemed Milwaukee would win. Michael Redd was left open and hitting shots, scoring 30 points with 8-13
from downtown, and Korver chipped in with 12 points. The Bucks were playing a team game, lead by the pass-first point guards in T.J. Ford and Eddie House. House, playing only his second game for Milwaukee, had a career high 10 assists, as well as a rare block, coming late in the second quarter. T.J. Ford also contributed 5 points and a game high, 5 steals. Ford's lucky headband is turning to tatters...

King James led a balanced scoring attack with 23 points. Other contributors were
Larry Hughes with 17, Gooden with 14 points and Jones with 13. The Big Z had a quiet game, yet was able to put together a well balanced game with 7 points, 8 rebounds 5 assists and 3 blocks. Much of the offence ran through him and he was able to pass out of the low-post effectively.

Next up for Milwaukee is Phoenix, in Phoenix.

Kyle Korver Has a Huge Game to Beat Phoenix
Milwaukee proves to Phoenix their style of play is the way to go.

Phoenix. The team that Milwaukee aimed to base their game plan on was their rival today, and Milwaukee proved to the Suns that it definitely is the way to go. Last season Phoenix had a low-defence, high-offence style of play, and had 60 wins in the season. During the off-season, Phoenix disabled their team to bring in more defence, yet unfortunately lost Amare Stoudemire for half of this season. He only recently came back, and his form is as
good as ever. This season, Milwaukee is playing the same style, and the players are loving it.

Kyle Korver thrives in this offence, and today he showed just how good he can be. Kyle scored a career high 54 points, shooting over 46 percent, and over 47 percent from beyond the arc. He dropped
16 three-pointers, yet only two two-pointers for his 54. He had 26 in a vital fourth quarter, with 8-14 from downtown.

Apart from Korver, Milwaukee had a balanced scoring attacking, with four other players scoring in
double figures. Andrew Bogut lead all Milwaukee rebounders with 9, followed closely by Jefferson who had 8. The Bucks were out rebounded 28-46 in the game. Bogut and Gadzuric each had 6 blocks, leading Milwaukee to a total of 15 blocks.
Eddie House, playing for the first time against his old team,
showed them his potential and talent, dishing out 10 dimes, scoring 8 points and also 6 steals. T.J. Ford also had 12 assists, yet his steals and points were not nearly matching that of House, who played less minutes.
Ricky Davis only had 11 points, but four of them were from magnificent dunks, including one
over Steve Nash, and a huge baseline windmill jam.

If you weren't told, you wouldn't know that
Amare Stoudemire was out for months with knee surgery. Amare totalled 13 rebounds and 18 points, slamming dunks over the Bucks like they were non-existent. Marion also had 13 rebounds.
Jimmy Jackson had
20 points, a team high, and shot well in the contest. He was helped along by Steve Nash who had 9 assists to go with his 14 points.
It seems that is wasn't just House thriving in the Milwaukee/Phoenix/Atlanta trade, as
Maurice Williams had 15 points, a season high, against his old team. He also had 3 assists.

Next the Bucks take on the reigning champs, the San Antonio Spurs at home.

Milwaukee Beats Reigning Champs
Korver has his second 50+ point game in a row to get over the Spurs.

San Antonio were no match for Kyle Korver as he continued his form from the previous game against Phoenix, where he scored 54 points. Against the Spurs, he tallied 52 points on 50 percent shooting.
In the first quarter, Korver started the game shooting 5-5 from downtown, and it looked certain that today would be another game, just like against Phoenix. Kyle's
hot hand continued over from 5 days ago, his shooting in the shoot around pre-game was near perfect.

Manu Ginobilli ran all over Michael Redd, scoring 30 points on 60 percent shooting, with help from Tony Parker who had 8 assists and 12 points.
Tim Duncan was quiet today, with only
16 points and 7 rebounds, taken out of the game on the defensive end for much of the game by Josh Davis. Davis was put into play power forward against Duncan to drag him away from the boards, and to stop him blocking too many shots. Josh's outside shooting managed to hold Tim back, however he only shot 1-10, and was disappointing with his shooting. Duncan only had 2 defensive rebounds, an accurate measure of his presence defensively.
Bowen and Ginobilli both shot well from outside, combining for 6-9 three-pointers. Bowen had 13 points.
Nazr Mohammed had team high 10 points, to go with 2 steals and
a block.

Andrew Bogut has all but cemented in his Rookie of the Year title, once again having an excellent game with 18 points, 11 rebounds and 3 blocks. His performance this season has been well above any expectations that were set previous to his first game.
Eddie House is continuing to play well in Milwaukee, today having 14 points and
3 steals, yet only 2 assists. Luckily Ford was there to pick up the slack, and had 9 assists. 7 players had 2 or more assists for the Bucks.
Michael Redd is happy playing second fiddle in offence, so long as they’re winning, he said today in an interview before the game, and today was able to score 20 points. "His shot selection is getting a lot better, hopefully he will be able to continue this good form into the playoffs," spoke Terry Stotts, Milwaukee's coach.

Milwaukee stays at home for their next match against Washington, who are only 8-15 this season.
