New Jersey welcomed back All-Star Jason Kidd but even his return wasnt enough to put a stop to the Nets lossing streak. Ron Artest was the games high scorer with 25 points and 7 rebounds, Jermaine O;Neal finished with 19 points and 10 boards. Jason Kidd had 9 points in his 16 minutes on the floor, Jamaal Magloire and Wally Szczerbiak lead the Nets with 17 each. Vince Carter was 3-11 for 11 points in the game.

New Jersey found them selves up at the half and after their last couple off games things were not looking good. But this time Jason Kidd was playing and he helped steady the ship for the Nets who played some strong defence and hit some clutch baskets to hold of a fast finishing 76ers team. Kyle Korver was the leading scorer with 16 points for the 76ers. All 5 starters were in double figures for the Nets.

Jason Kidd and Jamaal Magloire helped guied the Nets 2 back-to-back wins for the 2st time this month when they took down Boston 99-97. Magloire lead the Nets with 21 points and 9 reboundfs while Kidd had 14 points and 7 assists. Ricky Davis lead all scorers with 29 points but it wasnt enough.

GM Bailey4mvp continued to shake up his New Jersey Nets Roster today pulling the Trigger on a trade 6 player deal.

Martell Webster the Abraham Lincoln HS stand out was today acquired from the Portland Trailblazers fro PF Eddie Griffin, F-C Cliff Robinson and G-F Francisco Garcia.

“Martell is a future all-star and he will be our future and a player we will build around” said GM Bailey4mvp. “We contacted Portland a couple of days ago and said we were interested in Martell, Portland said they were after Eddie Griffin and Francisco Garcia. We hade to think about if Webster was really worth 2 young studs and in the end his upside was just to much to pass up”.

Griffin was averaging 10.4 ppg since becoming a Net and was always a leader in the rebounding category. Cliff Robinson returns to Portland after originally being drafted by the club in 1989 and is averaging 7.0 PPG and 4.1 RPG. Garcia acquired earlier in the year from Sacramento is averaging 3.3 PPG and 1.3 APG.

Webster is averaging 10.6 PPG and 3.3 RPG so far this season. To match the salaries Portland also parted ways with PG Steve Blake and C Ha Seung-Jin neither player has seen any game time this season.
