Thanx man and lets hope McGrady can continue to play well and score 30+ points against the Sixers.

Great job on picking up the win, too bad MJ had to say goodbye but he had to leave sometime. Good to see T-mac finally stand up. Good luck against the Sixers in the second round.

Thanx SAC-1, yep I miss MJ. McGrady played extremely well in Game 5 and the fact that I won that game is because of McGrady, he was totally unstoppable. I am also glad that Stackhouse did not scored that much points in the last game.

Thanx for your support, I will do my best in this series. Iverson is tough to guard though.

Haven't checked this one out in a while... good job in game five! And it seems Jordan made everyone believe he's retiring again.

Thu Oct 06, 2005 4:27 pm

Welcome back air , thanks for your kind words. Game 5 is so memorable, yep, this is the final retirement for Jordan. In real life, I hope he can be an owner of an NBA team, he was very close when he almost owned the Bucks. Stay tuned for the excitement of the Sixers-Magic series.

Magic has no answer for Iverson

Image

In Game 1 of the semi-finals, Iverson left where he left off since Game 4 of the Nets-Sixers series, Sixers guard Iverson simply dominated on both ends as he scored 39 points along with 4 steals. The Sixers were trailed throughout the first three quarters until Iverson took control of the fourth quarter as he scored 16 points in the final period. Van Horn finished the game with 16 points and 4 rebounds. The Magic were lead by Magic guard McGrady who finished the game with 26 points and 3 rebounds and Shawn Kemp who contributed 22 points and 20 rebounds.

In the first quarter, the Magic was unstoppable as they scored the first 6 points but the Sixers quickly responded with several jump shots made by Iverson and Van Horn. Shawn Kemp simply outplayed Derrick Coleman as Kemp ended with 9 points and 9 rebounds. Kemp was very aggressive as he controlled the boards on both ends. McGrady also taking advantages of his height over Iverson as McGrady posted Iverson several times as he helped the Magic to take a commanding 27-21 leads after one quarter. The Magic and the Sixers continues to hits their shots as both teams scored 22 points respectively in the second quarter. The Magic still leads 49-43 at the end of the first half.

At the start of the third quarter, the Magic continues to control the game behind the plays of McGrady and Kemp where they scored 6 points and 5 points correspondingly. The Magic had their biggest leads at 12 but Iverson responded as he beaten out McGrady with his speed and quickness as he made several uncontested layups, Iverson scored 10 points in the period. The Magic still leads by 4 points after three quarters as the Magic still leads 72-68. In the final quarter, the Magic was cold as they shoot only 35% on 8/23 shootings. McGrady only scored 3 points in this period. McGrady said, “We are struggling, we just loss our rhythms, we can’t make our shots at all.” The Sixers took advantage of that moment as they quickly get back in the game, especially Iverson who scored 16 of his 39 points in the fourth quarter. “I was able to made my shots and I am glad that we are able to win the first game here”, said Iverson. The Sixers had their biggest lead at 8 with 2:13 remaining, Armstrong tried to get the Magic back in the game as he made 2 consecutive three point shots but the Magic still came up short in the end as the Sixers defeated the Magic 99-93. Tough loss, but Iverson is almost playing alone so I doubt the Sixers can win this serie...

Sat Oct 08, 2005 5:24 am

Oh bad start, Iverson dominated against(like excpected, he dominates against anyone) but great job on keeping it close. The key in game two is play better defense against Iverson or double team and pressure. Good luck.

Tough loss in Game 1 but you've proved that you can come back. I'm really looking forward to seeing how the AI vs. T-Mac matchup ends up.

Iverson was the one man show and he is just too quick to guard. McGrady had trouble guarding him. Van Horn and Coleman did not do much though.

Thanx for the advice. Yeh, maybe I will try double team Iverson in Game 2 make it tough for him to score. Other than Iverson, I did not get much contribution from Giricek and Garrity. They both usually can get me 30 points a game. Lets see if they both can play well in Game 2.

The Magic are down 1 game but we are not out of the playoffs yet. Hopefully in Game 2, we will play better, especially on the defensive ends. Yep, McGrady and Iverson will fight off each other throughout this series. Stay tuned for Game 2.

The Magic loss despite their poor shootings in the fourth quarter as McGrady can only managed to score 3 points. McGrady said, “It was an embarrassed loss and hopefully, we can come out and play better in Game 2.” In addition, Giricek and Garrity combined just 9 points together and showing no sign for hitting 3s.

Oh tough loss man! Looks like everybody needs to get more involved!

Wed Oct 12, 2005 9:16 pm

Hope you do better in game two, you don't want to go down 0-2 (N)

You are right, in Game 1, only McGrady and Kemp stepup. I need Armstrong, Giricek and Garrity to put points for us, else we are history!

{SAC-TOWN} wrote:Hope you do better in game two, you don't want to go down 0-2 (N)

I will do better in Game 2 and must stop Iverson from scoring too much. I will try to even at 1-1. Stay tuned for Game 2 recap.
