Dirk has been playing like an MVP,
will it be another cake walk over the Raptors?

Predicted Starters
Dallas
C - Erick Dampier
PF - Dirk Nowitzki
SF - Michael Finley
SG - Marquis Daniels
PG - Devin Harris

Raptors
C - Desmond Jackson
PF - Joshua Carr
SF - Jae Hatton
SG - Ben Takash
PG - Honor Glow

The Mavericks are looking to win their 5th straight in a row and continue to have a perfect record for the new season, meanwhile the struggling Raptors recently blown away against the Timberwolves will be looking to notch their first victory of the new season and move up from the bottom spot of the central division.

Ben Takash is likely to have his first start after showing great improvement coming off the bench.

No problem Najira...I think a lot of us admire that you resurrected the NLSC dynasty that was D-funkt for so long. So whatever it takes to get short and sweet recaps...no prob. Go Raptors!

Dirk was just too much.

Dirk Nowitzki and Jason Terry prooved too much for the Raptors as Dallas ended their 1 game loosing streak and continued to notch up the victories. They won the game my a comfortable 10 points with Jason Terry falling just 3 assist and 2 rebounds short of a triple double and Jerry Stackhouse lead from the bench with 12 points.

For the Raptors Joshua Carr had his worst night as the Raptors Mr.Triple Double struggle to keep a lid on his opponent. Honor Glow showed great leadership skills but he alone could not stop the deep Mavericks.

Final Score : 74 - 64

Jamison and Hughes could stop their teammates crumble against Toronto.

The first victory of the season for the Raptors, after having tough losses in their first 4 games they came out with some fresh energy and a slightly changed lineup. Jackson would be benched and Cocobee would start whilst Cody Worley was moved up the rotation and so was Russel Santos and Liberal Almeida so they could get more minutes.

The Wizards started off well but it became Antawn Jamison and Larry Hughes vs the whole Raptors team as Toronto played like a true team for the first team, all starters had 5 assists and the Raptors had 4 players in double figures.

Jae Hatton prooved to be key as he scored 16 points and grabbed 6 rebounds coming off the bench, it was clearly the best game of the season for Hatton. Joshua Carr yet again had an off night but the Raptors Co-Captain Honor Glow yet again played tough all night but recieved tremendous backup from Filip Hermelin.

Ben Takash continued his impressive scoring run and yet again for the 3rd game straight score in double figures and has prooved that he is best fitted for the 2 guard starting role. Worley also impressed but notching 10 points and it was his first good game after so far struggling to get his shooting from the field going.

The Raptors play the Nuggets next who are 3-3 with new addition Jason Kidd controlling the court.

Final Score : 75 - 63

Raptors break down Nuggets in Toronto

Anthony was held down but Camby had a solid game but all in vain.

The Raptors won their 2nd straight game by comfortably beating the Denver Nuggets 80 to 66.

Yet again it was the pairing of Joshua Carr and Honor Glow that led the way, Carr had 18 points and grabbed 4 boards while Glow scored 15 points, grabbed 5 boards, had 7 assist and stole the ball 4 times in what was the games best performance by far.

For the Nuggets star player Carmelo Anthony had a quite night and it was Jason Kidd and Kenyon Martin who led the way, Kidd scored 12 while Martin had 13. Marcus Camby also made a valuable contribution as he had a double double on the night scoring 10 points and bringing down a game high 12 boards.

It was a one sided game from the tip off to the end as the Nuggets failed to score and the tight defense of Toronto allowed no easy shots and the chance of a comeback became harder and harder as the game went on.

Jae Hatton had yet another solid game off the bench having 13 points and pulling down 7 boards.

The Raptors record went to 2-4 after the game.

Final Score : Raptors 80, Nuggets 66

Portland smash Raptors, worst shooting night for Toronto

ImagevsImage

A visit to Portland isnt the scariest thing but the Raptors would get a wake up call.

The Blazers were too hot to stop as they kept hitting shot after shot, whilst the Raptors kept jacking up shots but couldnt hit a single one. Star player Joshua Carr struggled and it was by far his worst game of the season, even the ever reliable Glow struggled to do much. Only Santos ended up with good numbers at the end as he scored a career high 13 points and grabbed 8 boards.

Image
Reef hit 8-8 to defeat Toronto.

For the Blazers it was super benchie Shareef Abdur-Rahim who was simply unstoppable. He scored 16 points and didnt miss a single shot from the field, 8 in total. Zach Randolph and Damon Stoudamire also had solid games whilst almost every Blazer with more than 5 minutes of play scored 10+ points except for Darius Miles who fell short by 1. Theo Ratliff led the defensive end as he grabbed 11 boards and didnt allow the quadrio of the Raptors big men to get any easy baskets.

The Raptors were terrible all around and their was no positives in the game at all except for Santos's best game yet, it wasnt the kind of result you want heading into Kobe's Kingdom.

Final Score : Blazers 77, Raptors 61

Notes : Standings etc will be updated again after month of November. Starting lineup will be changed for next game, Alex Boom comes in place of struggling Jon Emmenidis, Jae Hatton will start at small forward while Boom plays at the two spot.
Sorry for using NBA.com photos but time constraints makes it hard to post screenshots. Ill start posting screenshots once I get my christmas holidays. :D

Back to Winning Ways, Toronto Win in Hollywood

The Raptors shutdown Kobe to a mediocre game.

After a demoralising defeat in Oregon the Raptors needed to muster up some energy in order to face the Lakers lead by superstar Kobe Bryant.

A change to the lineup was inevitable as Jae Hatton and Alex Boom got the nod at the 3 and 2 respectively whilst out of form Emmenidis and Takash would have to come off the bench.

Both teams started off in the same calm tempo, nor the Raptors or Lakers went for quick shots but took as much as time possible before sending the ball out of the hands.

For the Raptors the key contributors came in Santos, Carr and Jackson. All three scored in double digits and were key on the defensive end as they were doing the dirty work on the glass.

Carr whose had a drop of form came out with a new look ethic as he ended up with a team high 15 points and tied Santos with 6 rebounds to lead the team. Santos yet again showed his coach why he has so much of faith in him by having yet another strong game, he was doing it all, as he tallied 3 assists, 6 rebounds and 12 points in the night. Desmond Jackson had his best game yet coming off the bench as he hit 6-9 from the field and grabbed 3 boards and had 4 dimes.

Hatton who was having a good burst of stats from the bench didnt look so comfortable as a starter but manged to score 6 points although he failed to stop Lamar Odom. The Raptors MVP so far has been Honor Glow and even though his numbers werent big he worked hard on the defensive end and made some clutch passes to his teammates, he ended up with 6 points and 6 assists while grabbing 2 steals, with those 2 steals hes risen up to the top of the league in steals averaging a great 2.8 steals per game.

For the Lakers it wasnt Kobe who made the impact but Lamar Odom who had a game high 21 points while pulling down 4 boards. Yet again the Raptors managed to keep their opponents star player under tabs just like they did with Anthony, however Bryant did score 13 points and had 3 assists and 3 rebounds.

The Raptors now visit the Kings who are currently 3-5 and have an equal record to that of the Raptors who now are 1 and a half games behind the 8th spot in the East.

Final Score
: Lakers 67 (5-2) , Raptors 71 (3-5)
