Kings sweep season series

Image

Peja Stojakovic and the kings started off slowly last night in their game against the cavaliers but shot the lights out in the 2nd quarter to take control of the game.
during the first quarter the cavs came out quick with consecutive jumpers from lebron james and then a putback dunk by drew gooden and a hook shot by zydrunas illgauskas to go up 8-0. the kings slowly chipped away after their slow start and were only down 24-18 at eh end of the 1st.
During the second the kings completley took over.Brad Miller found himself open for a 22 footer and hit it starting a huge run that would allow the kings to score 35 points in the quarter and take control of the game. Chris Webber had a big quarter scoring on jumpers over gooden and outmuscling him for offensive boards in what was a spectacular quarter of basketball for the best team record-wise in the nba.
Peja Stojakivic made sure the cavs wouldnt get back into the game with timely scoring everytime there was a run throughout the second half.
LeBron James struggled after the first shooting 11-27 scoring 25 points as he forced alot of shots trying to get his team back into the game in the second half.

Things looked good for the cavs early with this putback. Miller and the kings dominated the 2nd half as he starts it off with a jumper.

Cavs cruise to easy victory over Bucks

Image

Most of the Cleveland Cavaliers were anticipating the All-Star break and a big rest(or big parties) in Denver next weekend but before they did that they had to travel on sunday to Milwaukee to take on the 13-19 Bucks. and judging by most of the performances by both teams players, they were ready for the break. the one person that did come to show up was LeBron James who will be busy with a few things this next weekend in denver(details on news page). James got off to a fast start scoring 10 points in the first quarter over helpless bucks defenders. Micheal Redd the leagues leading scorer had 9 of the 17 in the first for the bucks trying to keep them in the game. the second was more of the same but this time the cavs worked it inside with Gooden and Illgauskas who combined for 35 points in the game. Desmond Mason tried to keep the bucks in the game and provide help to redd but could not he scored 16 points on 28 shots. the bucks were held to a pathetic 15 points in the quarter and it wasnt going to get any prettier in the second half. during the second both teams were lethargic but that allowed LeBron James to find open teamates and grab a whole lot of boards. He finished the game with 26 points on 11-20 shooting 14 boards(season high) and 9 assists. one negative for the cavs was the loss of Robert traylor who injured his hand on a hard fould by joe smith early in the third. Traylor was the main backup at the power forward and center posession and is a paul silas favorite with his hard work and strength in the post. the bucks scored only 14 points in the 4th quarter and the final score was 86-66. LeBron James had this to say about his near triple double: "nobody told me that i only needed 1 assist there was like 2 miutes left in the game and i had no idea i would have been lookin for an alley oop or something if i knew that i mean 14 boards and 10 assists thats a good game, 9 assists, that hurts a little bit. James was also asked about his all star weekend. "im gonna be the busiest dude out there this weekend id like to win every competition at some point in my career but i gotta work on that 3 point shot. ill get some rest this week and be ready for it this weekend, i hope to bring home alot of hardware."

Ebi finds his way to cavs in a four player deal
Image

In a surprise move the clevleland cavaliers have made a move in the waning days before the trade deadline sending dajuan wagner and ira newble to the minnesota timberwolves in exchange for Ndubi Ebi and Earvin Johnson. After the Cavaliers deal fell through for the darko milicic there was almost no trade news and coach paul silas said he was happy with the current roster. Cody Jones, the cavaliers gm had this to say: " Things were pretty much dead but Kevin Mchale came up to me and started talking about dajuan. he was interested in him playing some backup guard positions and being another scorer off the bench. one thing lead to another and we belive we have ourselves a good deal for the future while they were looking for now."
Indeed the cavs are looking towards the future Ebi is as raw as sushi but is extremely athletic and long. coach paul silas had this to say about playing time for ebi: "With Robert injured it frees up some pt downlow and maybe some small forward and possibly shooting guard for matchup reasons."
Along with ebi the cavs also recieved earvin johnson whos 5 million dollars come off the books when he becomes a free agent this summer. this was clearly a cap reason as newble had a four year deal. Time will tell if this trade was worth it.

Sophmores start weekend off with a bang!

Image

This weekends All Star festivites got off to a great start with the rookies playing the sophmores. last year LeBron James and co. lost to a tough sophmore team and along with his friend Carmelo Anthony he vowed they would not let the rooks beat them. "Last year they handed it to us pretty bad and its kind of embarrassing as a second year player to lose to a rookie. me and carmelo comin in last year, that was a real strong team along with wade but we got killed! I dont think the rooks stand a chance tonight."
Indeed they didnt as the sophmores got off to a great start leading after one 34-25 and it got worse from their. with the final score being 129-89.
It was highflying from the tip as the sophmores came down on the first possesion and put the ball in Chris Bosh's hands who threw down a wicked one hander(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v474/trubucksfan/ASW/BoshonArujo.jpg).Shaun Livingston tried to keep the rookies in the game scoring 30 points in a surprising effort. the other rookie standout was Ben Gordon who had some acrobatic baskets on his way to 26 points(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v474/trubucksfan/ASW/Gordonoffbalance.jpg. The best play off the night for the rookies(and there were not many good ones)was emeka okafors dunk over a helpless carmelo anthony(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v474/trubucksfan/ASW/Emekanutdunk.jpg).Another great story is that of David Young, he is the first player to participate in the Rookie-Sophmore Game being undrafted(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v474/trubucksfan/ASW/DavidYoung.jpg).
It was the Sophmores night though and they had more highlights than anyone could count. MVP honors went to LeBron James who scored 35 points along with 9 rebounds and 9 assists. Carmelo Anthony, in front of his hometown pulled off a spectacular reverse alley oop from kirk hinrich that had the crowd in gasps(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v474/trubucksfan/ASW/Meloreverse.jpg).Wade also had some highlight tomahawks to get the crowd off their feet(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v474/trubucksfan/ASW/Wadetomahawk.jpg). In the end there were exciting and entertaining play by both teams, and a great way to kick off the weekend. Up next the 3-point shootout!

Do you plan on starting Ebi? If so, you'll have a very high flying squad there.

Good All Star update.

i was planning on bringing him along slowly to start off with so i dont ruin the chemistry(tryin to be realistic here) see if he can do some things, i need some training to improve his handle! and if does alright then i will put him as like 7-8 man behind snow and maybe luke jackson. i would like him to be my defensive stopper. who knows though maybe pavlovic will head to the bench eventually, he hasnt done anything great to be untouchable at that spot.

hey sorry i havent posted in awhile i had a ton of b-ball this weekend. anyhew i dont want to create any bad pub but my all star weekend stopped working and i searched and found that a patch had something to do with it. ASW worked fine on wednsday or thursday.. whenever i did the 3 point contest but now when i try to play the dunk contest it shuts down. the only patch that was new was the lebron james face update. i was just wondering how to get rid of it and get the old one back. thanks in advance

well since there are 2 other cavs dynasty and not many replies to go with it i will be moving to livedynasty.com and will be posting a bucks dynasty, my first true love. this dynasty will differ from the one i have now. i want to come up with something original and will probably play sim intervention instead of playing entire games and posting recaps(at certain points i will probably have write ups) all i can say is i hope some people follow me over there but i will also still be an avid nlcs member. thanks and hope to see you posting in the new dynasty.
