WESTERN CONFERENCE FINALSLA Lakers 4-0 Denver Nuggets
Series MVP : Pau Gasol

24.3 PPG | 9.8 RPG | 7.5 APG | 0.3 SPG | 0.8 BPG | 50% FG | 88% FT
Runner-up : Kobe Bryant

22.5 PPG | 8.0 RPG | 7.5 APG | 2.3 SPG | 1.0 BPG | 43% FG | 38% 3PT | 91% FT
The series was very one-sided, as the Lakers completed a 4-game sweep over the Nuggets in perhaps Carmelo's last run with the Nuggets and the Lakers didn't make it a memorable one. Kobe carried the Lakers over the Jazz, nearly dropping 40 in each of the last 3 games, but Pau Gasol stole the show on this series.
In the first game, a 134-98 blow-out, Gasol showed his passion and how much he wants to win. He dropped 29 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists. Kobe wasn't too shabby either with 29 points, 12 boards and 6 assists. Shannon Brown saw a lot of playing time due to the score and finished with 22 points.
The second game was basically over with the first quarter, much like the first one, but the Nuggets just didn't allow it to turn into a blow-out and closed the deficit to 9 in the end, after trailing by as many as 24 in the first half. Kobe dropped solid numbers across the board with 26-7-7, but Gasol was even more impressive with 24 points, 16 boards and 8 assists. Brown had another solid game with 15.
With the series switching to Denver, the Lakers continued their dominance with a 102-86 win. Kobe had 19 and 11 assists and Gasol had his most modest game of the series with 15 points and 7 rebounds. Shannon Brown, who had a +/- of +28, scored 24 points off the bench.
And in game #4, when the Lakers made quick work of the Nuggets with a 16-point first half lead, the Nuggets were officially sent fishing. Gasol bounced back from his mediocre performance with 25 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists. Kobe had 16, 8 and 6 with 4 steals.
Shannon Brown, who had 24 in game #4, could also be mentioned as a co-runner-up. He was the third player on the Lakers to average 20+ in the series. He can opt out of his contract to find a more lucrative one and he has earned a bigger pay-roll with such play. He shot 60% from the field and 61% (11-18) from deep.

EASTERN CONFERENCE FINALSMiami Heat 4-0 Milwaukee Bucks
Series MVP : Dwyane Wade

29.3 PPG | 5.3 RPG | 10.3 APG | 1.8 SPG | 1.5 BPG | 65% FG | 100% FT
Runner-up : Chris Bosh

24.8 PPG | 5.3 RPG | 2.0 APG | 2.0 SPG | 1.0 BPG | 61% FG | 50% 3PT | 100% FT
The Bucks made a miraculous trip to the Conference Finals, beating the Magic and Bobcats along the way, but completely ran out of gas against the Heat. They were swept away, losing the 4 games by 20, 22, 29 and 42.
Chris Bosh led the Heat over the Hawks, averaging over 32 ppg. This round, it was Dwyane Wade's turn. In the first game, the closest match of the four, Wade racked up a triple-double with 16 points, 15 assists and 10 rebounds. Bosh had 28 and LeBron had 20, James Jones had 15 off the bench.
In game 2, Udonis Haslem stepped up with 18 points and 7 rebounds while the Big 3 all reached 20, led by Wade with 28 and 10 assists. Bosh had 25 and LeBron had 20 and 8 assists. James Jones had 8 in game #3, and saw him jump ahead of Korver in the rotation.
People watching game #3 witnessed one of the best shooting performance by an individual in NBA history, as Wade made 12 of his 13 shots, made all of his 6 free throws and racked up 30 points in a 121-92 win. Bosh had 28 on 11-15 shooting, Udonis Haslem had 15 on 6-11 shooting and Eddie House and Korver had 18 in between them, shooting 7-11.
In game #4, the Bucks couldn't get anything right in the first quarter, trailing by 20 after one. Wade had 22 in the first quarter and 43 in the game as the Heat closed out the Bucks on their home floor by 42 points. LeBron added 27 points, 6 steals, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 blocks.
Korver scored 17 points and Haslem had 10. Both of them are expected to play an important role in the Finals. James Jones, Omer Asik and Eddie House round out the rotation.
The Lakers will have home court advantage and are on a roll with Pau Gasol, Kobe Bryant and Shannon Brown on fire offensively and the 2011 Finals are definitely worth watching.
