Jackson Big off the Bench, Sixers take Game 1

Image 110 [Boxscore]

Image 123 [Boxscore]

The Sixers looked pretty well in their playoff opener against the 8th seed Toronto Raptors as they delivered once again. Marc Jackson was a huge factor as he proved why he was the Most Improved Player in the regular season. Speaking of proof, Alvin Williams who had been suffering form major injuries came up big off the bench and led the Raptors in scoring with 21 points. Allen Iverson led all Philadelphia players with 24 points but the big reason to victory was Chris Webber. Webber absolutly dominated against the Raptors' weak big men as he also dominated the boards tonight practically winning the game for the Sixers. Chris Bosh was shut down by Webber and Dalembert and will need to be his own self if not better if the Raptors want any shot at this series. They will also need to find a way to keep up with the Sixers big men as Webber, Dalembert and Jackson had their way in Game 1. Game 2 will once again be in Philadelphia as the Sixers will look to go up 2-0 and the Raptors will need to dig deep and find some answers.

Great win, looks like this serie belongs to Philly. I doubt you gonna need this, but anyway, good luck in game 2.

Good win against the Raptors. You did a good job by shutting down Bosh. Hopefully, Webber and Dalembert can shut him down again in Game 2. Hope you can take a 2-0 leads after Game 2. (Y)

Easy win like excpected, this shouldn't be a problem and grea highlights(the Webber one is the best), atleast they got into the hunderds, great job on keeping bosh aweay from the net and the blocking. Good luck in game two.

Thanks Thierry Henry, I think I had the best screens for this game than any other. Marc Jackson really impressed me although the Raptors were very weak upfront.

Yes, it won't be a hard series but again, no underestimating for me. The Raptors could still turn this around.

Thanks a lot kobe. I appreciate your confidence in the team, will try my best!

Thanks Vex, good to see you're still around.

Thanks and like I said, the key will be to take advantage down low. Good observation, kemp. Hopefully we can continue to shut down Bosh and AI can shut down Alston and Williams.

Thanks and yes, shutting Bosh was a big plus and I'll try to take advantage of the weak Raptors front court. Once again, I agree. I really put up some great screens in this one. :)
