JARED DUDLEY PICKED SECONDJerryd and Jared were picks one and two for the Domination as forward Jared Dudley was selected off the Phoenix Suns' roster. Dudley, a sharpshooter and (at times) highflier, said, "I have high hopes for this team. Looking at who is still unprotected, we could actually have a pretty decent roster. I'm impressed and am looking forward to the regular season like I never have before." Dudley, 25, has only 22 career starts in his four year career. He is ready to start if no one else is.

The rest of the picks will be released at the same time by next Tuesday.

Oh Yeh! Like that pick!
Fri Oct 22, 2010 9:51 pm
Nice 2 picks there!
Thaugh i would chose Brown instead of Dudley as the 2nd pick
Fri Oct 22, 2010 11:09 pm
Dudley is a very nice pick.
Sat Oct 23, 2010 10:37 am
I got a couple nice games out of Dudley in my Bobcats in the Suns franchise. I've upped his three-point ability some (it was only 65 - I've raised it to 81 on a 50-99 scale). Hopefully, he can play up to his potential and create some good stuff for the Domination.
Just a heads up - I'm not picking everyone with top ratings, so don't be surprised to not see some big players. My first roster was too stacked at PF, with no Cs at all, so I'm redoing my picks.

DUDLEY, MORRISON EXCELLED AT PRACTICES
New GM Zee Otoo of the NC Domination held several practices over the last few days and said that he was so impressed with Dudley and Morrison that he has to start both of them. "Even though they play the same position, I'm so impressed with them - they play very well together and I have to start them both. In the team's six scrimmages, Dudley and Morrison have averaged 30 apiece. They're brilliant. I also have to find out how the Lakers missed out on Morrison's talent. He's still got something from his Gonzaga days in him."
Morrison said after a practice, "I'm starting my career over again. I'm taking my 35 jersey back and I'm acting like the last four years never happened. I'm starting over." Morrison has only 85 NBA games in the last three seasons.
FESENKO RELEASED
It has been confirmed that former Utah Jazz center Kyrylo Fesenko was waived by the Domination today. "He just didn't play with heart. I don't think he wanted to play here," Zee Otoo said after confirming the release of the 7'1, 300+ pound center. The Utah Jazz have not reclaimed Fesenko yet and it remains to be seen if they will.
DOMINATION STARTING LINE-UP SET
The starting line-up for the Domination has been released. According to Zee Otoo, the starting point guard for the team will be Jerryd Bayless. Former Gonzaga star Adam Morrison will play shooting guard. Jared Dudley and Walter Herrmann will start at the three and four respectively and DaJuan Blair will play center, although he is only 6'7. According to the Domination website, Glen Davis is the sixth man and will play the top two positions equally. Dexter Pittmann, Arron Afflalo, and Kelenna Azubuike are currently reserves.

North Carolina Almost Wins Their Debut Against BostonJared Dudley's near perfect debut could have culminated in a win, but we're talking about playing against the Boston Celtics here! Boston's original Big 3 combined 76 points, while Shaq and Rondo combined 20 more points. Walter Herrmann's 5-5 shooting in the first quarter startled the Celtics, and the Domination gave them more of a shock when shooting guard Adam Morrison dropped sixteen points and DeJuan Blair had 7 blocks and 9 rebounds. While there were no double-doubles in the match, amazingly accurate shooting from Dudley, Morrison, Herrmann, Blair, Garnett, and Shaq O'Neal put on "one hell of a show", as said by Ron Artest who has watching.
Kevin Garnett was awarded the Player of the Game Award after scoring 28 points on 13-16 shooting, 7 boards, 7 steals, and 4 blocks. Jared Dudley was undoubtedly the Domination's top performer shooting 10-11 from the field and 6-6 from outside.
After the game, back-up point guard Kyle Lowry said, "This team is probably the best expansion team ever. I'm proud to be a part of it. Jared Dudley, and Walter Herrmann are amazing players. This team just needs to gain some chemistry. I think we have enough talent to win half our games this season. While this may seem kind of optimistic, we were able to stay within five points against the Boston Celtics in their first ever NBA game. Remember that."NCD: 26 - 51 - 82 - 116 - Jared Dudley (SF) - 26 points (10-11 FG%, 6-6 3P%), 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 blocks, 1 steal, 2 fouls, 5 turnovers, (19/28 minutes)
BOS: 25 - 47 - 73 - 111 - Kevin Garnett (PF) - 28 points (13-16 FG%), 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 4 blocks, 7 steals, 2 fouls, 0 turnovers, (22/28 minutes)

I didn't win, although it was close. I was winning for about two minutes in the fourth quarter though.
Next up, I'm playing Blake Griffin and the Clippers.

Clippers Dominate NCFrom Blake Griffin's opening basket, to Davis' playmaking, to Kaman's rebounding, the game was all-around hard for the Domination in their second game. The Clippers were never way ahead, but the Domination never took the lead in the entire match. Poor outside shooting from NC played its part in this, but the Clippers went on so many fastbreaks that the Domination could not defend. Rookies Aminu and Griffin wreaked havoc at the rim, putting up slam dunks over and over again. Griffin eventually succumbed to foul trouble but Aminu kept the LA offense running all night long on 73% shooting.
Jared Dudley played another big game, scoring 23 points on 59% shooting and clinching five defensive rebounds. Blair's size disadvantage at the five was clearly noticeable throughout the game, particularly when matched up against the 7'0 Kaman Monster. Bayless's poor assist-turnover ratio flirted with 1.0 for most of the match and contributed to Baron Davis's seven steals. There were great team efforts however. Bayless and Dudley really see eye-to-eye and put up two fantastic alley-oops. Overall, this game wasn't a "total train wreck" as swingman Deshawn Stevenson put it, but a learning experience. NC GM Zee Otoo's only words on the subject: "Gain chemistry and gain wins." The Domination are now 0-2.Starting Line-up:

Nice game by Dudley, but it seems Bayless struggled with turnovers. Shouldn't Rasual Butler be starting over Aminu?
