Steve Nash is pain in NBA Live whether you're controlling him or not.

He's a lot of fun to play with IMHO, but a pain in the ass to play against. He's dropped 50 in normal 5-min. quarter games against me.

It's DSTATS - it's the reason Tim Duncan is averaging 29 points and 12 rebounds a game and T-Mac is averaging 35. It's like they are playing at the 2003 level of play.

I need to clear DSTATS. They piss me off. Even 5 years down the road T-Mac and AI will still average 30+ ppg.

Good news! I've created a new franchise, kept all my people on both teams, and now the CPU controlled teams rosters are closer to reality than they were before. I didn't really have much of a problem trading players to get my old teams back. So I'm ready to go on again! I am two games before the trade deadline and even most of the CPU team's records are similar to before. CPU did some wacky trades. You might find Ray Allen was traded to Milwaukee for Michael Redd, and so on, but you expect stuff like that. Overall, it's pretty similar.

Actually it doesn't matter either way, it's close enough to where it was before. No real harm done.

Phoenix Routs Denver
After finishing the first quarter 30-10, in part due to a 14-0 run to start the game, Phoenix kept up their intense defensive pressure against Denver, shutting Carmelo Anthony down to 6 points and 3 rebounds in the entire game. Chauncey Billups was the Nugget's main hope, and made the most of it, scoring 37 and surpassing 20 assists. Kenyon Martin had a huge night on the boards, but his 17 rebounds weren't enough to take the Suns off of them. Nene was a big factor in the paint and scored all of his 24 points there. Steve Nash finished with 41 points and 11 assists, while Lamar Odom grabbed 14 rebounds and recorded his season high of 30 points. Denver may have shut down Joe Johnson from driving inside, but that didn't stop him from nailing six outside shots along with five free throws for a total 23 points. The Suns beat the Nuggets in regulation 127-97.

Top Performers:
Steve Nash: 41 points, 11 assists, 7 steals, 4 rebounds, 1 block
Chauncey Billups: 37 points, 22 assists, 0 steals, 3 rebounds, 0 blocks

Phoenix Loses In Overtime To Houston
Never mind he was wearing red, Kyle Lowry seriously looked like he had caught fire. He scored 39 points and even dished 12 assists, only playing a little more than half the game. Yao Ming looked like he was magnetically attracted to the rim, whether he was grabbing rebound after rebound or dunking. He ended with 30 points and 23 rebounds. On the other side, it was a totally different story. The outside shot just wasn't working for four of the five most reliable shooters on the team: Andrea Bargnani, Joe Johnson, Goran Dragic, or Shawn Marion. They combined shooting 3-30 from 3 point range and totaled only 16 points. While the rest were cold, Steve Nash lit it up from all over the court and scored a well-needed 53 points on 20-30 shooting. Goran Dragic said after the game, "We were lucky to get to overtime at 113 each, but we got torched from inside after regulation. Steve Nash was really our only hope and I vote him for NBA MVP this year for saving our asses over and over again. But we lost anyway. You can't win everyday." The Suns lost in overtime 131-120.

Top Performers:
Yao Ming: 30 points, 23 rebounds, 7 blocks, 6 steals, 0 assists
Steve Nash: 53 points, 6 assists, 1 steal, 7 rebounds, 0 blocks

Nice game by Lowry and Yao, tough on the OT loss though. Holding Melo to 6 points is real kick ass though, even though your team is all offense!

It surprised me a lot actually. Melo played a lot of the game, something like 2/3 of the match. Usually the CPU can nail 5 or 6 threes or go up for fast breaks you can't stop with very average players, but Melo just seemed to suck today. It's funny cuz, in another franchise I have, which I don't publish, Melo is like the 5th highest scorer in the league. Maybe my team pllays more D than i think it does...

Dallas Falls To Phoenix
Raja Bell is still enraged at the Bobcats and the Suns for trading him multiple times. He showed his frustration by dropping 32 points - a number that equaled Dirk Nowitzki's. These two posed a serious problem for the Suns. Their defense couldn't do anything to stop the super-quick shooting guard or the perennial three-point bomber power forward, so they doubled their efforts on offense. Playing just six minute quarters, these teams somehow managed 120 points each. Steve Nash repeated his 53 point performance in Houston in Dallas and dished double the assists. Joe Johnson touched 40 for the first time since he joined Phoenix and Andrea Bargnani grabbed more offensive rebounds than the entire Mavericks' team - 8. Although Dallas led for the first three quarters, Phoenix took over with three and a half minutes left. They won in style as Steve Nash beat the buzzer and launched a half-court shot, made it, and was fouled by Raja Bell with .2 seconds left. Nash made the foul shot and his total was 53 points. Phoenix won by 6.

2/24/10
Amare' Stoudamire Is Finally Set To Play
After two and a half months recovering from an agonizing ACL injury against LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers on November 29th, Phoenix Suns' power forward Amare' Stoudamire is finally ready to play. While he still has a long way to go to produce the stats he was getting in November (20 points per game and 18 rebounds per game), he is playing and is therefore a big presence for the Suns. Lamar Odom did an outstanding job at replacing Amare', but is now a bench player again. In Amare's first game back, he scored 16 points and 12 rebounds. He took it easy, is significantly slower and can't jump as high, but is still playing like a star.
