Thanks for checking in guys. (Y) I was mainly surprised because we were trailing big at the end of the first, but then fought back and tied it by halftime. They just demolished us after that though. Bargnani played huge for them, and it was really frustrating because most of the threes he hit were well-contested by McGee's long ass arms. All in all, the Raptors are a pretty bad team, so I'd say that they got lucky in this one.

I've always thought of Arenas as more of a shooting guard, but am also aware that he has had solid assist numbers in the past. The only good opportunities he gets are either in the pick and roll with Andray, or on the fast break with someone like Nick Young. :cheeky: As long as he's scoring well, I'm okay with only a few assists.

Arenas had a huge scoring night but yeah needs to give up the rock or is it that his teammates need to hit a shot

Any thoughts of making a play for Kirk Hinrich ?

I guess you could say that his low amount of assists are partially his teammates' fault. Mike Miller can be inconsistent at times, and Josh Howard isn't really much of a perimeter player. I have no plans of replicating any of the Wizards' RL deals in this association, but will for some of the other teams. It depends on how they're playing for the most part. For example, Corey Maggette is leading the league in scoring right now so it wouldn't make much sense for the Warriors to trade him. The Sixers and Kings are struggling on the other hand, so I plan on having their deal take place sometime in the near future. BTW, I'll be posting the recap for the game at Philly in a bit.

- Iggy, A.I., Brand Put On Disappearing Act As Wizards' Bench Thrives

    Image

WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Philadelphia 76ers opened their season with a 1-point win at the TD Garden. They were able to hold off the Boston Celtics with clutch free throw shooting, leading to a 67-66 win. Both teams shot very poorly, which made for a low-scoring affair overall. The key free throws on the other hand, were courtesy of the high-flying Andre Iguodala, who shot 8-10 from the foul line. He finished the game with an impressive stat line, which also included 17 points and 8 rebounds. Paul Pierce put in 20 points for the Celtics, but that wasn't enough to propel Boston to a win. The 76ers then trekked back home after that victory, but lost to the Indiana Pacers in Philadelphia. Danny Granger set the tone for the Pacers, scoring 26 points and grabbing 8 rebounds. Sophomore Roy Hibbert chipped in 19 points and 6 rebounds in 24 minutes of play for Indiana. The 76ers will be in Florida tomorrow to face the Orlando Magic.

What looks like a decent season thus far for the Philadelphia 76ers was only made worse by the Washington Wizards. The traveled to the Wachovia Center and just thrashed the 76ers. Many of Washington's players were able to get into double figures scoring-wise during their triumph. Each Wizard contributed to the win, whether it was with points, rebounds, assists, steals, or blocks. Quinton Ross, who hadn't played a single game for Washington this season, posted 6 points in 5 minutes. And where to start with Philly? Well, to summarize their performance in a nutshell, Andre Iguodala shot 8-23 from the field; Allen Iverson, 8-20; and Elton Brand, 3-11. Does any more need to be said for the Sixers?

The Washington Wizards will fly to Georgia to tangle with one of the better teams in the Eastern Conference for their next match. The Atlanta Hawks are reloaded and ready with the addition of Jamal Crawford during the offseason. After a great win like the one tonight though, these Wizards look to be prepared for anything. That game will mark Washington's second appearance on national TV this season, as it will be broadcast one week from today at 8:00 P.M. ET, on TNT.

I don't think so, but thanks a ton dude. (Y) Gilbert played like a beast again, but as you guys said before, that lone assist looks really weak.

Right now I'm working on the Around The Association update for November, and was wondering if anyone knows how to find the league leaders for the primary stats other than PPG? It seems like I've looked everywhere, and was wondering even if they still have that in the game.

When viewing stats, can't you just scroll from category to category, then just press like Y or X or something to sort them?

Not necessarily. When viewing the league leaders page, your'e basically stuck at PPG. There's no way to scroll from category to category. Pressing Y arranges the players from least to greatest according to their PPG, and X just brings up your friend's list. I'll figure out someway of getting this done though. Thanks anyway buzzy. (Y)

Sorry for the lack of updates everyone, but I just haven't been feeling up to this lately. Now that I have some more time on my hands though, look for this to become more active soon.

Sorry, but that's nonsense. I'm sitting here with my controller in my hand to make sure I'm not telling you BS. But when you're in the Leage Leaders section you can flick through the categories and press Y to sort them ascending or descending.

I also didn't see the arrows to change categories in 2K10, but I just clicked near the Points or whatever title of the categories. Somewhere near it should be the arrow button, which just isn't visible.

At least that was the case for me.

And sorry for losing LeBron, I think he should have stayed in Cleveland. (Y) (And I'm on the Heat bandwagon)

I finally figured out how it works a few days ago, and it's just really stupid on 2K's part on how they set the the whole thing up. Anyway, I really appreciate your help guys. (Y) And Martti, about LeBron; I think everyone else here (in Ohio) being so down and frustrated because of his decision made me not care as much, even though that doesn't make much sense. It's too bad that Z had to go along with him, even though I thought that he just slowed down the pace of the team (like Shaq did). In the end, the way it works out for me is: no LeBron = less demand for Cavs tickets = the more games I can possibly attend. They probably won't be very enjoyable though if the Cavs suck as planned.

- November Recap

    Image

The Oklahoma City Thunder are off to a very impressive, yet unexpected start to this season. Youngsters Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook are playing terrificly together, leading their team to an undefeated record as we put the wraps on November. They sit atop the league at 5-0. Durant is scoring 30 points and grabbing 9 rebounds per match, while Russell Westbrook is putting up just under 21 points and 11 assists per game. Sophmore James Harden has been solid coming off of the bench for Oklahoma City, posting 13.6 points in just 23.6 minutes of play. The Golden State Warriors are also currently undefeated, but with two less wins than the Thunder. This leaves the Warriors trailing them for first place in the Western Conference, at 3-0. The New Jersey Nets on the other hand are surprisingly in command of the Eastern Conference with a record of 3-1. Amongst the disappointing and underachieving teams thus far in the season stand out the Utah Jazz, who are just 1-4 as we roll into the month of December.

Thanks for the feedback guys. (Y) Not many games have been played so far this season, so most of the averages should even out through time. Oklahoma City being undefeated is fine by me, but New Jersey starting off the season above .500 isn't. :lame: Them playing this well isn't even a fluke either. As I've said before, in most of my 2K10 associations the Nets have always been an elite team in the East. Things could always change come playoffs though, and hopefully they do.

- Race To The MVP: November Edition

    Image

With a maximum of only eight games or less played by the NBA's teams so far this season, it seems virtually pointless to already take the MVP race into account. Due to the significant decrease in games played per season though, the updates for The Race To The MVP will begin to occur on the first of each month. The list thus far features some of the NBA's finest talents, as well as some surprises. The biggest surprise on the list is the inclusion of Corey Maggette, and the fact that he sits in first place. His numbers may not look like anything special compared to the other competition, but his limited minutes and team's record show how key he really is to his club's success, and that's what the MVP award is all about. Kobe Bryant sitting in fourteenth place on the list is another shocker, but he should make his way into the top five in no time. Not one of the Celtics' Big Three made their way onto the list, but newcomer Nate Robinson did. Even though he's coming off of the bench he's still practically playing the minutes equivalent to that of a starter, which is allowing him to take the spotlight on his new team. Danny Granger, Gerald Wallace, Kevin Martin, and Baron Davis highlight the rest of the possible, yet unlikely recipients of the MVP award.
