DUHON AND GOODEN PICK UP NEW DEALSChris Duhon, who played with the New York Knicks last season was not resigned by the team. Duhon picked up a new deal from Milwaukee where he'll most likely back up the sophmore guard, Brandon Jennings. Duhon averaged a tad over 5 points and 2 assists for the Knicks last year, on .315 percent shooting from the field and .267 from behind the three point line.
Drew Gooden, at the same time, was playing for the Dallas Mavericks, backing up the last years MVP, Dirk Nowitzki. This year, Sacramento will enjoy the services of Gooden. Gooden averaged 4.4 points and 2.7 rebounds, playing in all games and starting in 12 of them.
"I'm going to help out the Kings the best I can. I'm a good shooter, got some tips from Dirk last year and the city of Sacramento, you'll love me." said Gooden. He was later asked about his .060 percent three point shooting, but Gooden ignored the question.

BRENDAN HAYWOOD LANDS IN THE WINDY CITYIt was reported on Wednesday that the Chicago Bulls and Brendan Haywood were working on a deal. Today, the deal was officially made. Per team policy, terms of the contracts were not disclosed.
Last season, Haywood played for the Washington Wizards, averaging close to a double double with 10.4 points and 9.5 rebounds. He started in all of his 69 games played. As the Bulls former backup center, Brad Miller is currently a free agent, Haywood is most likely to be the one playing behind Joakim Noah, who averaged 4 more points than Haywood last season, but the exact same amount of rebounds.
"We're really glad to have Brendan with us, he's definitely a good asset for us going forward. He can be a good mentor for the young guys, plus on the court he's a really good player." said John Paxson, the General Manager of the Chicago Bulls. Haywood hasn't given any interviews after the signing was announced.

ROY SIGNS A FIVE YEAR CONTRACT WITH THE WOLVESThere had been a lot of buzz before the signing about who the Minnesota Timberwolves would offer a contract too, wether it would be Ray Allen, Brandon Roy or maybe even Allen Iverson, who were the top unrestricted free agents available.
Last season, Allen averaged better than 18 points and over 3 rebounds and assists, but wasn't nearly as efficient scoring the basketball as before. Iverson averaged slightly under 14 points and 4 rebounds to go with 5.2 assists in his comeback season with the Philadelphia 76ers. Meanwhile, Brandon Roy and the Portland Trailblazers underachieved a lot, finishing in the lottery with over 50 losses, despite being titled as one of the best young teams in the league, ready to make the jump to the top tier teams. Roy averaged 17.4 points, 3.8 rebounds and 5 assists, but was easily the most efficient out of the three.
Brandon Roy was originally drafted by the Minnesota Timberwolves in 2006, but was immediately traded to the Portland Trailblazers for the rights of Randy Foye. This time, Roy is likely to stay for atleast five years for a, so far, not announced amount of money. The team did not release financial details of the deal as said, but several news outlets have reported it is worth $65 million in guaranteed money and up to $70 million.
"It will take a lot of pressure off from us," said the 1st pick of this years NBA Draft, Jonah Jackman. "I mean, I've liked Roy as a player for ever since I first saw him play in college at Washington, I was just a kid back then, but I liked his game, a lot. I can't wait to play together with him and meet him as a person, it's exciting."
"Brandon is not only a great player, but he's also a great person." stated the Timberwolves' newly hired General Manager, Malik Monroe. "We've got three great young players to build around now in Brandon, Jonah and Al, plus we've already got many nice pieces, I don't see how can't go far this upcoming season, especially as we've still got some more to spend for more pieces."
Sources say, that Roy had told the Wolves he had been offered more money from the Milwaukee Bucks, but still chose the Timberwolves over them, having faith in the teams bright future.

THE THREE BACK IN NYThe New York Knicks have stunned the world with their recent move. Instead of keeping the cap space for next year and wait to lure a superstar FA to the city, the Knicks have signed Nate Robinson to a three year contract, Stephon Marbury to a four year contract and Larry Hughes to a five year contract.
The team did not release financial details of the deals, but it is rumoured that all of the three will earn about five to ten millions a year with the Knicks.
A day after the three were signed, quite a crowd got together infront of the Madison Square Garden, booing and waving the signs saying something like: "F*ck the management!" and many other similar things. As the 'strike' was on the news, even Spike Lee could be seen infront of the crowd, not with a sign or something, though, but with a displeased face.
"We believe in these guys," said Donnie Walsh, the General Manager of the New York Knicks. "The three are terrific guards, two of them might be past their prime, but can still help our team a lot. We now have our lottery pick Bart, Hughes, Marbury, Nate ofcourse.. Curry looked to be in shape. We'll go far." Mike D'Antoni didn't look nearly as satisfied with the move though, as he didn't say anything during the entire press conference and just sat there, palming his face.
