So comment on what you think about the season so far.
Mon Jul 20, 2009 9:26 pm
here is what I am thinking about the season at this point
Eastern conferences
Winners: Detroit so far has been amazing. Iverson, Stuckey, Prince, Rip, Sheed have been meshing well together so far.
Boston has been doing well and so far the big three KG, Pierce and Allen have done well. Also there bench with Daniel Gibson, Jarvis Hayes have been a help
Charlotte has been the surprise so far. Trading off there second rounder Gordon Neumann to the Spurs for point guard George Hill has panned out so far.
New jersey didn't start off well but apparantly they are playing well now. So far apparently Darius Miles has been helping and not being an extreme headcase.
Losers: Cleveland to me is the top loser because of adding Al Jefferson who i felt would have really helped this team out . With Shaq and Zo injured last year i thought signing Big AL would be a big difference but so far it's not. playing only (4-8) King James, Shaq and others need to step up there game.
Philadelphia is another big loser for me. Drafting shooting guard Ricardo Hernandez who to me is in the top three of best rookies this year somehow this team can't find many wins being only 3-10. Elton Brand, Andre Miller and Thaddeus Young I felt would have made this club a .500 team or close.
Miami is another big fat disappointment for me in spite of being only 1 1/2 out. They added Drew Gooden and rookie Reuben Kim who if wasn't on the bench i felt would win rookie of the year. This team has Jermaine O Neal, Gooden, Beasley, Wade and Chalmers you'd think this team would be 6-4 instead of 4-6.
Mon Jul 20, 2009 9:37 pm
Now here are what i think the Western Conference winners and losers
Western Conference
Winners: Los Angeles Lakers: Lakers are playing well again so far. It's hard not to when you have Gasol, bryant, odom, morrison, ariza, fisher and mccants.
Phoenix Suns: The NBA champs last year are playing well again and when you see there lineup you could see why they might be the champs. they have Ben Wallace, Amare Stoudamire, alando tucker, jason richardson, steve nash, andrew bogut, grant hill, matt barnes, leandra barbosa, robin lopez. when you can go ten deep last year it's no wonder youre the NBA champs
Sacramento Kings: the kings are playing great again and with adding rookie center ron macnamara who is the late first rounder steal of the draft so far this team is doing well. when you have kevin martin, andre nocioni, morris peterson from the kwame brown trade last year, this team got better.
Memphis Grizzlies: why did i put my team on here. So far in spite of the mistake of Robert Horry who i feel might come up big later. They adding Monta Ellis and brought back Darrell Arthur and this team is doing decent at .500. If they improve then they will get to the playoffs and maybe Robert Horry will have the clutch moment that I'm praying for.
Los Angeles Clippers: in spite of being 5-6 i say so far they have improved. they trading off Chris Kaman and Ricky Davis last year and somehow they are doing good.
Mon Jul 20, 2009 9:48 pm
Western Conferences losers so far
San Antonio: Trading off George Hill who was decent off the bench really hurt there chances and they are putting there egg in a basket with rookie shooting guard Gordon Neumann. You would think that with Duncan, Blair, R Jefferson, Ginobili and parker this team would be better than 4-8
Dallas: the hottest team in the league last year is only 5-7 right now. Nowitzki, kidd, terry and howard need to step up there game.
Golden State: Losing Monta Ellis and only getting a second round draft pick Bubba Cullen really hasn't help this team out. Also signing some solid bench hasn't helped out either and being 3-7 so far has proved it.
Minnesota: they thought that not resiging Al Jefferson and Kevin love and then go and sign Jamaal Magloire would help them out. But they've guessed wrong so far being 1-10.
So who do you think the losers and winners of the eastern and western conference are.
