Timberwolves too good for Hornets
Above: Al Jefferson was the high-point man for the game with 43.
The New Orleans Hornets have had their 8 game winning-streak ended by a classy Minnesota Timberwolves outfit. The game was relativly close in the 1st, with only 5 separating the teams by quarter time. In the 2nd, however, the T'wolves blasted away, and finished the quarter 19 points in front. The lead kept growing in the 3rd, and by 3-quarter time Minnesota were 25 in the lead. In the 4th, not even a behemoth effort by the Hornets, who scored 45 points, and spearheaded by Chris Paul, bring New Orleans back into contention. Chris Paul continued his form in the absence of the injured David West, scoring 38 points, 22 in the final quarter, and handing out a massive 16 assists to pick up his fifth double-double of the season. Al Jefferson dominated the post and the Timberwolves score-sheet with 43. The final score was 114-109 in favour of Minnesota.

Byron Scott | New Orleans Hornets Head Coach
We played badly. That's it. We didn't rebound. We didn't defend. We didn't attack well. That's it. We played badly.
