rabbitSDMF, Ya with the trades and the injuries it was hard to find a role for each player.

Hg8Harrier, Thanks, hopefully you'll follow this one because im looking to sign some good players in the offseason.

Crimson Penguin, Im gonna be screwed if i dont get Iwanaka(the 4th overall pick) since the top 5 are all SG's and one PF.

Minnesota Timberwolves Win First Pick in the Draft
Image
Antoine Walker represented his team in the lottery.

With the first pick of the 2006 draft, the Timberwolves may now have a chance to turn their franchise around. Soulis Lindquist, who is projected to be drafted 1st overall, is a likely candidate. He will play the power forward position and Al Jefferson will play the center posistion. Guards do not seem to be in the picture since Telfair, McCants and Jaric are playing so well.

Here is a draft board of the first round. I will not include the second round because it doesnt seem as important.
Key:Team/Player/Position/Overall

1.Minnesota-Larry Ishito/SG/77
Ishito will be a good addition to this team and will add depth to Minnesota's backcourt. He will also help spread the floor with his three point shot.
2.Orlando-Julian Fujita/SG/75
Fujita, projected to be drafted in the top 10,was picked by Orlando with their second pick. Fujita will most likely start as SG over Maurice Evans.
3.New Jersey-Ben Iwanaka/PG/73
Iwanaka will help out New Jersey, who are in desperate need for a point guard since Travis Best and Darrell Armstrong are expected to retire.
4.Indiana-Marcus Mbembe/SG/75
Since Dunleavy will most likely not resign with the Pacers, Mbembe will be in the starting line-up and Granger will come off the bench and start at the 3.
5.Milwaukee-Soulis Lindquist/PF/77
Milwaukee got just what they wanted, a big man. With the departure of Keith Van Horn, Milwaukee will need a big man to run the PF position.Lindquist, who was projected to be drafted 1st overall, will definitely bring a new look to this team.
6.Philadelphia-DeMarco Hunter/C/75
Whether Hunter will play PF or C, it is obvious that Hunter and Dalembert will run the new Sixers frontcourt. Hunter will be a decent replacement for Reggie Evans.
7.Seattle-Oren Brewer/SG/73
With a weak backcourt, Seattle will benefit from Brewer's presence. Brewer will most likely come off the bench and ROTY Kevin Durant will start at the 2.
8.Sacramento-Eddie Ibeabuchi/SG/74
With Kevin Martin already the starting SG, Ibeabuchi will be a good player off the bench and will probably get more minutes than Francisco Garcia.
9.New York-Eddie Lo/C/73
New York once again find themselves out of the top 5 picks, despite their record. With Eddy Curry out of the picture, New York will have a fresh start.Eddie Lo will start as C and will try to help his team to a successful season.
10.Portland-Jamie Lee/PF/75
After Przybilla was traded,Portland needed a big man to come off the bench. Lee was a good draft pick for Portland as he can play backup for Randolph. Lee will play side-by-side with LaFrentz, who will also play backup for Preaton.
11.Houston-Anfernee Barros/SG/73
Barros will be a good addition to Houston's backcourt. This will allow McGrady to once again lead Houston's offense, unlike last season where Battier took away from McGrady's possessions.
12.Chicago-Quint Hamilton/SF/72
Gooden most likely leave the team this season. This will affect Chicago's frontcourt deeply. With Nocioni coming off the bench and playing the SF position, Hamilton will most likely play the PF position.
13.Los Angeles Clippers-Badu Douglas/SF/74
Douglas was not the best choice for the Clippers seeing as they already have a really weak frontcourt. The departure of Tim Thomas does not help this at all. Douglas will most likely find the majority of his minutes at the PF position.
14.Utah-Sadiku Boyes/SG/73
With Brewer not performing as the team would like him to, Boyes will probably take over the starting position.Boyes will add depth to Utah's backcourt and will help his new team on the run to the playoffs.
15.Charlotte-Leif Farrell/PG/72
Not exactly the best choice since Charlotte is playing small ball at this time with Emeka Okafor at the 5 and Richard Jefferson at the 4. If anything, Farrell with start over struggling Brevin Knight and Raymond Felton.

 I will post the next 15 picks soon.

How do I draft a 4th overall pick and end up with his overall being 73, while a 16th overall pick's overall is 72.That sucks. Anyways, here is the rest of the first round.

Key:Team/Player/Position/Overall

16.Washington-Pete Weekes/SG/72
Washington will surely benefit from Weekes presence. He wont start since Deshawn Stevenson is already in the line-up but he will add depth to a team who's bench isn't all that great.
17.Toronto-Darren Daly/SG/73
With Jason Kapono out of the roster, Daly will be needed to come off the bench. This will shift Joey Graham back to the 3.
18.Miami-Ricky Mah/SG/71
Now that Ricky Davis has entered the starting line-up and there is no other backup for SG, Miami will draft Mah to fill that position.
19.Golden State-Blake Sandler/SF/71
Sandler will help Golden State by adding depth. He will most likely start and Barnes will be assigned to the bench. With his jumping, agility, and stamina, he will fit in perfectly with this Golden State team.
20.Los Angeles Lakers-Rufus Houston/PG/71
The Los Angeles Lakers seem to be playing more a lot more younger players, starting Todd Asillio over Derek Fisher. Fisher, who barely played last season, might find his minutes shortened even more this season. Houston will most likely be the sixth man to this team since Sasha Vujacic and Vladimir Radmanovice were traded, Nenad Krstic,Fred Jones,Derek Fisher barely play, and recently signed Jumaine Jones wont see many minutes behind Odom.
21.Memphis-Felix Embrey/PG/71
Memphis, who has almost no bench production, will look to Embrey to score and dish assists coming off the bench.
22.Dallas-Stephon Vaught/C/71
A very good choice by Dallas drafting Vaught to replace an aging Erick Dampier.
23.Cleveland-Zeljko Bulic/SG/72
Not such a good pick by Cleveland, who already have Aleksandar Pavlovic and Devin Brown competing for minutes. They should have drafted a backup PF to replace Anderson Varejao, who isnt playing well at all.
24.Detroit-Raphael Willis/PG/71
Not the best choice for Detroit. With Dale Davis leaving the team, a big man would be necessary since the only other big man would be Jason Maxiell.
25.Atlanta-Jonathan Robards/C/70
Atlanta, who did so well last season will most likely do even better. Vlade Divac who recently retired, will be replaced by Robards. An excellent choice by Atlanta who have been searching for someone to run the center position.
26.Phoenix-Seal Brunson/SF/70
Despite his odd first name, Brunson will help out his team coming off the bench. This may take a while as Grant Hill is still playing well averaging 13 points and 7 rebounds. He will most likely come into use in a few years and will be given time to develop.
27.New Orleans-Victor Madden/SG/70
Not an excellent choice with Melvin Ely leaving the team and a weak frontcourt, but still a good choice nonetheless adding depth to a not so good New Orleans bench.
28.Denver-Lars Trnka/PG/69
With Anthony Carter out of the roster, Denver will benefit from Trnka as he will come off the bench behind Allen Iverson.
29.Boston-Jelani Burgess/C/70
Boston still needs a few more piece to complete the puzzle, a PG and a C. Burgess is one of the pieces that will help this team to a championship. He will take the starting position over Kendrick Perkins.
30.San Antonio-Darvin Slater/C/69
No backup PG and four C's. An awful choice by San Antonio with Jacque Vaughn out of the roster.

These are a few wierd trades that happened in the Off-Season. The Celtics ended up getting Maurice Williams and Robert Horry. A PF so that Posey wouldnt have to come off the bench to play that position and a PG that is obviously better than Eddie House. The most beneficial trade would have to be the Maxiell-Bulic trade only because the Cavaliers finally have a PF to start so that they wouldnt have to start two centers. The Cavaliers, who were packed with SG's, never really needed Bulic(23rd Overall Pick). Other than that the Spurs didnt really need a SF, the Warriors needed a backup PG, the Bucks needed someone better than Julius Hodge, and the Pistons made a horrible mistake by trading Maxiell only leaving themselves with Jake Voskuhl and Ben Handlogten to come off the bench.
Transactions

-The Portland TrailBlazers trade Maurice Williams to the Boston Celtics for Tony Allen.

-The San Antonio Spurs trade Robert Horry to the Boston Celtics for Brian Scalabrine.

-The Golden State Warriors trade Mickael Pietrus to the Milwaukee Bucks for Earl Boykins.

-The Detroit Pistons trade Jason Maxiell to the Cleveland Cavaliers for Zeljko Bulic(72 SG).

-Bernard Robinson who was sent to the Colorado 14ers last season, was invited to this season's training camp. After training camp Asst. Coach Ross and Lawrence Frank along with the Nets Organization, decided it wasnt in the cards to keep Robinson with the club. Bernard Robinson was originally going to re-sign with the team in the 07-08 Season and stay in the D-League until then. Robinson was released by the Nets and was signed by the Sacramento Kings.

Incase you didnt know, I finished last season with a 19-39 record. If I dont make the playoffs, im rooting for the Lakers. Although, I feel the Celtics are going to win this season with the addition of Maurice Williams and Robert Horry. Anybody going with the Nuggets to repeat even though they lost Anthony Carter? This is just some of the memorable events from last season.

Ten Games To Watch
October 28
Image
ImageBoston Celtics(38-20) @ Indiana Pacers(17-41)Image

Maurice Williams was traded to the Boston Celtics for Tony Allen during the Off-Season. The Celtics can finally play a PG other than Eddie House. How will the Big 3 play along side Williams? Indiana who had a terrible last season, while going on a 17 game losing streak, will have a fresh start and will try to adjust with the absence of Mike Dunleavy.

Image
ImageNew Jersey Nets(19-39) @ Toronto Raptors(31-27)Image

A new look Nets team will have a chance to display their new roster when they debut against the Raptors. With the signing of William Preaton, the Nets finally have an excellent big man to run the center position. Iwanaka, the 3rd overall draft pick, will also play his first game as a Net against the Raptors and will most likely become the official point guard for the New Jersey Nets.

October 29
Image
ImageMinnesota Timberwolves(20-38) @ Charlotte Bobcats(29-29)Image

With the first overall draft pick(Larry Ishito) the Timberwolves might just be a contender in the West. With Al Jefferson starting at center this season and Sebastian Telfair averaging 15.1 PPG/3.2 RPG/6.4 APG/1.83 SPG, the Timberwolves seem to have a well-built squad for a playoff run.

November 5
Image
ImageAtlanta Hawks(34-24) @ Dallas Mavericks(33-25)Image

The signing of Drew Gooden has been one of the most publicized moves in the Off-Season. Gooden will add depth to this team's frontcourt with the departure of Vlade Divac. Along with their new rookie, Jonathan Robards, the Hawks will try to have another fantastic season.

November 9
Image
ImageDetroit Pistons(34-24) @ Denver Nuggets(38-20)Image

The Denver Nuggets, who were believed to not have it in them to win a championship, had one of the most amazing playoff runs along with a great season. Defeating the Lakers and Suns in 7, and the Spurs in 5, the Nuggets went on to sweep the Pistons in the Finals. Now these two teams will face once again on November 9th to see who has excelled more in the Off-Season.

November 13
Image
ImageLos Angeles Lakers(32-26) @ Denver Nuggets(38-20)Image

The Lakers, who at one point in the season held the top spot in the Western Conference, fell down a few spots in the standings towards the end of the season but they were still seen as a team that would reach the finals. Yet, they were sent home early when the Nuggets defeated them in a decisive Game 7. This season the Nuggets will try to repeat. Starting with a win over the Lakers.

November 14
Image
ImagePortland Trailblazers(26-32) @ New Jersey Nets(19-39)Image

William Preaton, who was signed during the offseason by the Nets, will be returning to Portland to face his former team. Preaton was one of the best players on the Trailblazers and will now leave Zach Randolph to run his former team. Tony Allen will play his first game as a Blazer after being traded for Maurice Williams.

Eddy Curry is once again part of the Bulls. On November 18th, he will face his former team, who have drafted Eddie Lo. Eddie Lo will replace Eddy Curry at the center position. Without Drew Gooden, Curry is basically the only big man. The Bulls will most likely have trouble defending Charlie Villanueva and Eddie Lo.

The Celtics were tied with the Nuggets for the second best record in the league. Yet, the Celtics didnt do half as well as the Nuggets falling to the Cavaliers in the Semi-Finals. The Celtics will look to get their revenge with the assistance of Maurice Williams and Jelani Burgess(Rookie).

Richard Jefferson will face his former team for the first time since being traded. Richard Jefferson who was traded to the Charlotte Bobcats for Doug Christie, went on to win East Player of the Month for February. He mostly played the power forward position on the Bobcats along side Emeka Okafor. The last time these two teams faced, Richard Jefferson was out with an injury. The Bobcats won last time these two teams met.

Nice idea with the Top 10 games. You need to fix the Nov. 14 preview as you said Tony Allen is starting for the Blazers while he was clearly traded to Milwaukee.
