Mike Dunleavy finished with respectful 14 points, 4 boards and 2 assists.

" How can someone do that ? He ruined our game, ruined his own teams
game and ejected himself ! It's unbelieveble, our association can't agree
with this fact ! That's a joke ! " - Pacer's coach Jim O'Brien talking about
Desmond Mason's bad actions and game.

Desmond Mason played very stupidly, taking bad shot attempts, trying to
play every spot, running around the court and putting his teammates into
very hard position, started with very, very bad actions during the late 3rd
half. The actions will be noted soon, but these will not have any affect on
the game's recap.

Nets were 2-0, Pacers were 1-1, now they're both 2-1. Pacers, led by
Jermaine O'Neal played good defense, as they're big men grabbed most of
the boards and didn't leave it for the Nets. Even though their good play,
mainly, they had 18 turnovers they wouldn't probably beat the very best
team in the league.

Jermaine O'Neal, who was definetly the POG, game up with a
double-double with 15 points and 15 rebounds, also playing good defense
with 1 block and 2 steals. Still, Troy Murphy had even better post game
with 16 boards, and also had team-high 4 steals. Pacers' leading scorer
was rookie Stanislov Soares, who was a draft prospect for the Nets, but
was selected by the Pacers. He finished with 21 points, 5 assists, 2 boards.
Net's leading scorer Vince Carter, scored 17 points along with 4 rebounds,
3 assists and 3 steals. Monta Ellis game up with 16 points and shared
game-high 4 steals with Murphy. Bogut had 12 points and 8 rebounds.
Even though Mason's stupid, immature actions and shot selections, he still
sang out there with 3 made shots from behind the arc, combining 9 points.
Felix Rey and Nenad Krstic both finished with 6 points, Kristic had
team-high 10 rebounds, Rey had game-high 11 assists, 5 rebounds and 2
steals.

kinda funny to c my dynasty team beat ur dynasty team aha... hopefully the nets dont kill me in my dynasty... nice recap and i cant wait for the next post about mason...

YoItsFlash, Well, if I wouldn't have changed my sliders, I could have won your dynasty team by 50, that's what happened at first, then tried with superstar level, lost by 50 and then just played with the settings and now I'm all good. :) If I'd really want I could have won, probably, though it would have been boring to just win win win. :P

Desmond Mason suspended for whole season, possibly for his entire career.

After last nights game, as the Nets hosted the Pacers, Desmond Mason
went 'crazy', stupid actions and everything. It all began with stupid shot
selections, bad teamplay and all, but Lawrence didn't want to take him off,
because he had to give rest to Carter. In the end of the third quarter,
Mason picked up a technical foul, as he went next to Tinsley, and pushed
him on the ground. He also said something, but it wasn't sure during the
game. Tinsley told, that Mason told him to stay off his way, and that they
will win. In the beginning of the fourth quarter, Mason did it again, he gave
a slap on the arm of Tinsley's while he had the ball, as he didn't get the
ball, he pushed him down very strongly as Tinsley went down the court.
He got another technical, went to the official and told him to f*ck off.
That's what he said. Mason couldn't be taken off the court as he took the
ball, kicked it with his foot around the court, but when police came and
tried to take him out, Mason still attempted to run away. This time he
failed and police caught him.

Mason is facing a one season, if not longer suspension and a 3.000.000$
ticket to the NBA, he will also serve 3 days in jail for not cooperating. Most
likely he will bail out.

There are no sure reasons about Mason's actions, why he did it ? No one
knows.

Here's a little picture.

My second entry, enjoy !

Hey fans and all other who enjoy reading my blog. Well, our team is doing kind a great y'know. We're going to host the Bucks soon, if we can win them we'll be 3-1, which is kind a good ! If we lose, we fall on .500, 2-2, not bad, when you think that the Bucks are good and very talented team. I wanna see Bogut drop a bomb on his former team, ha. Would be bad to lose to Stro, Childress and Marcus Williams, they just were here, played with us. Though, we can't bring our emotions on the court, that's what our coach often tells us, so we just go there and try to win the game by good, by big and just play hard.

*** Mason's actions.

Man, that was crazy. I was just getting along with him as he looked a cool guy and all, but then, it's so beginning of the season and man, he started with something sick. Coach told him during the game that he might bench him for those actions, but damn, he went even fooler, no offense, he started playing with Tinsley like he would be a toy. Now we have Gomes coming off the bench and replacing him, I think Sean Williams plays a little bit of SF too when really needed and when we're facing a big team, but mostly he still plays under me, aha. Maybe if Mason can be a good boy, I hope his suspension will be lowered to like 25 games maybe ? Guess not, it's a big wish from me.

*** 18-9 game.

Yeah, that was an easy game against the Knicks. Like Vince said, we just stopped them on the defensive end, and when we were under the basket they were like sloths coming after us. It was good to 'blow' them out though, they're rivals from few kilometres away. It was kinda easy to finish with 18 points and 9 rebounds. Playing against no D, it's not a surprise, I didn't finish with 100 or 81, it's 18, trying to make it my average this season, 9 rebounds.. not 55 rebounds, 9 will be my average too, that's what I'm trying.

*** Next.

My next entry will come as soon as possible. I'm thinking to do it the morning after the Bucks game even. Just going to do my own version of recap, bigger one than our stuff does, haha !

100 : Milwaukee Bucks @ New Jersey Nets : 99

11/05/2008

Image
Mo' Williams final minute perfection saved the Bucks.

Image

" I was there making the final free throw with the score being 99-96, and
I knew this is for the win. I was sure Carter, Ellis, Rey, whoever is going
to knock down the next thee pointer with 2 seconds, 1 digit to go. So, I
just threw it, and the final free throw went in and god decided us to win.
Vince took the lane and sang a three at the other end with 0.2 seconds to
go and the game ended with 100-99, we won. " - Mo Williams after the
game.

The game was really tough for both teams. In the first quarter, even
mostly the first half, the only great scorer was the rookie, Felix Rey. He
scored 18 out of his 24. He finished with 24 points as said, 5 assists, 2
steals and 2 boards. Vince Carter and Monta Ellis both shined in the third
quarter, making a 29-19 run and tieing the game on 71 with one quarter
to go. Carter finished with a big game, 29 points, 11 rebounds, 7 assists
and 2 steals. Ellis scored 23, grabbed 5 rebounds and had an assist and a
steal. Krstic and Bogut both had good game, Krstic finished with 8 points,
6 boards and 2 blocks, but hurt himself in the late third quarter and will
get smaller minutes in the coming games. Bogut showed good defensive
play against his former team, next to 5 points he had 3 blocks, 1 steal, 4
assists and 8 rebounds. Even though Bucks' hero was Williams with 28
points and 6 assists, Michael Redd finished with game high 32 points, 5
rebounds and 2 steals. Bucks' rookie Dordevic had 18, game high 4 steals
and 4 rebounds. Stromile Swift did what he didn't do in Nets, having 3
blocks what was needed, 8 points and 8 rebounds.

As believed, both team's backcourt excelled more than front court, but
Nets' excuse is D, having excellent defensive play with 8 blocks and 10
steals, against Bucks' 5 blocks and 9 steals. Both teams had 11 turnovers,
which is good.

-PeeBo, thanks. I just wanted to give Gomes some minutes, as he looked to be a promising player though now I see he's not really something more than a rating player. Good to hear that you like ! :)

Damn, it makes me feel kind a sad I don't have like.. 'veterans of the forum' commenting my dynasty. I look all other dynasty threads and I see LOT more comments, but mine is just like.. lost somewhere. :P
If you read, then also post a comment about the last game, blog entry or whatever it is, please !

Tue Jun 03, 2008 6:04 am

Damn bro, ya gonna win and i think you should use your asstiant coaches to work with Sean Willams cuz he is good and you should put him in your starting rotation and try to get Greg Oden ;)

Waiting for more :D

PS:I know how you feel cuz nobody post coment on my and me,you, and IM2FLASHY, don't have so much coments and we are new guys right? :D
I post Game recap and i might need help with it lol...

Tue Jun 03, 2008 5:53 pm

MadNice, Thanks for the thumbs. Yeah, I know about Sean Williams, he gets playing time from bench. I can't put him on the starting lineup, he isn't better than anyone from the front court, Carter, Krstic and Bogut, so he still has to get his minutes from the bench.
Btw, why Oden ? I just got Bogut, who made my team ready, more D than offense, Oden isn't needed to my team when I have two solid C's who can start, Bogut and Krstic, actually they are both young and very good, and then I have the rookie Dai backing them up, so it's not needed. It would also make my chemistry lower most likely, so no thanks. :)

Oh, btw, I don't think I am sooo new guy, I have been here almost half a year soon, you haven't been one month yet, but yeah, wish we could get tips and comments from the experienced guys, Chaser, Clutch, Andrew, Lamrock and all. :P

Third entry, after a loss to Bucks.

Hey again y'all ! As I promised, next morning after the game against the
Bucks. We'll here you have it.

*** Loss to Bucks.

It was like.. We touched the win, but with Maurice going to the free throw
line after intentional foul, then I felt like.. "daamn, man, is he going to
make it ?" Yeah, he did, and our party was over. We lost to Bucks, who
ever wasn't a playoff team last year. Ha ! Yeah, I know, I know, they have
got lots of talent so I don't see a reason why they shouldn't be in the
playoffs, maybe chemistry, but hey, still, they're good. Next time we'll
beat 'em ! Aha !

*** Wrist.

Well, I hurt it.. Just a little, so it shouldn't affect my gameplay, maybe a
little, but coach limited my minutes against Orlando. Sean Williams will
play more than me, even though I'll still be the starter. I'm going to wear
some kind a short sleeve on my wrist though, I don't want to hurt it. It's
nothing that went to ESPN injury list, just the trainers put something on it
and we're all cool.

*** Orlando Magic.

Really good team. Howard is so hard to stop, Lewis gets it from anywhere
on the court and well.. They have the best defender in the league, Bowen,
it's going to be a tough matchup. We'll see if Carter cares about his
defender, Bowen, hope not. They'll probably be in the playoffs with us, I
hope, so we'll have to meet them again, and set the tone for us early in
the beginning.

*** Next.

I'll see when my next entry comes. Maybe after like, 2 or 3 games ? I
need to write fast, blog of the year would be good next to championships ?
Sure, why not !

Behind the scenes.

Nets, Nets, and the Network.

" Hey, Boone ! Pass me the gatorade ! " - Lue shouted from one side of the locker room to the other.
* Throws it. *, " Here ! " - Boone answered.
Everyone was working, training and all, actually some were just chatting around and having fun, until Lawrence Frank came in the room.
" Hey ! Guys, listen up ! " - he told.
Everybody stood quiet and stared Frank.
" We're 2-2, we won the Celtics, Knicks, but we lost to the Pacers and Bucks. What's wrong ? We have a game against the Magic coming up, we need to be over .500, right ? We finished with 7th seed last year with a .500 record, exactly. So, we need to be over it, don't tell me we haven't gone better. Have we ? "
" We are better ! " - whole team shouted together.
" So.. What's wrong ? I guess nothing, but we need to get some things better. Between us, it's all good, you think our chemistry is good when we can get along off the court, right ? " - the coach asked.
None answered.
" Well, I have to tell you ALL your roles, what everyone does, who is who and who is the captain, co captain, and who is the underdog, whatever, now you are here to roleplay, alright ? "
" Yeah, alright ! " - the team shouted together, again.

" Bogut, come here ! "
Bogut: " What up, coach ? "
" We'll, tell me, what do you think is your role on our team ? " -Frank asked.
" D ? Grab rebounds, pass the ball to scorers when possible, and score when possible ? " - Bogut gave a guess.
" Bingo ! But why do you sometimes take attempts on primary, -long range jumpers then ? " -the coach asked.
Bogut stood without saying a word, looking down.
" Well, from now on, you are the D-fender, can I call you so ? " - the coach asked.
* Everyone laughed a little, in the room. "
" Yes, sir. " - Bogut answered.
" Calm down, but to your role. What you do, is grab the rebound when the ball doesn't go in, you make huge screens, you're the wall ! If you have the offensive rebound, then you look to lay the ball in, if it's hard enough, we can all trust you, to pass the ball out as quickly as possible and get out of the paint, but stay ready for it. You are the key to the inside-, outside game. Okay ? " - Frank asked.
Bogut: " Roger that. "

Frank: " Krstic, get here ! "
Krstic stood tall next to the coach with a listening, wise face.
" You have actually done good with your role, you had 6 offensive rebounds last night against the Bucks, I like it, good job. " - the coach told.
" Thanks, coach. " - Krstic responded.
" Well, but that's not enough. You aren't the C anymore, you're a tall PF, I wanna see you.. Like Nowitzki. We all know you can shoot, and that's what we are going to work on, any questions ? " -Lawrence Frank asked.
" No, coach. " -he answered.

" Captain ! "
None came.
" Captain Carter ! " -the coach shouted again.
" Oh, hey coach. " - Vince told with a little laugh on his face.
" I've seen you.. doing great, is that it ? " -Frank asked.
" Yeah, thanks. " -Carter replied.
" Wrong. You average over 20 a little. Do you want to average 30 ? Don't take all those shots, take the easier ones, but hey, you're the most explosive guy in the history of NBA, sounds nice ? Well, you must attack the defenders, I want to see you doing your dunks, and what you did as a Raptor, can I see it ? " -the coach asked.
" Yeah, for sure coach ! " - VC answered.

" Eellliiis, are you sleeping or what ? " -Frank asked.
" No no, absolutely not, tell me. " Monta replied.
" Well, you have done great, just like Krstic. I'm proud of you. You have worked on your 3pt shot a lot, and you're getting much better. Only one thing, you're not so effective defender, you gamble a little bit too much. So, try to stay calm on defense, don't leave your team alone, Bogut isn't there to block the shot always, " *Krstic coughed* " neither is Krstic. " -Lawrence told.
" We'll, I'll try to do what I can. " - Ellis responded.
" Say what ? You do what you can, none here is trying to win the championship, we are giving our 100% to win it ! Sit down. " -Frank told.

When Ellis moved from his position, Rey was already behind him, and everyone in the room started to laugh.
Coach: " And what's the excuse for you, young fella ? "
" Uh.. I don't know. " - Felix Rey answered.
" Uh.. You don't know ? Come on, you had just 1 assist in the first quarter last night, next to 16 points ! You were compared to Iverson in the draft, who still doesn't have a ring, you want one ? " - Lawrence asked.
Rey: " Ofcourse I do. "
" We'll, then you are the one that sets up the plays ! I trust you, you will have a chance to set up your own plays against the Magic, show me what you have. If you fail, then Lue gets your position. Go to others. "
Rey went to others looking the ground, he was quiet most of the night.

The teaching of roleplay continued, everyone knew their roles. If Frank ended, someone came into the room with a black cap hiding his face. If the guy took his hat off, everyone knew the person, it was Mason, Desmond Mason.
" What do you want !? " - Frank asked.
" I want to practise with you.. For the next year, I wanna watch all the games the team plays, I want to say sorry. " - Mason said.
" Are you kidding me ? You owe the team something ! " - Frank told.
Frank looked at the cleaners from the window between the locker room and the resting room.
" You are going to clean after the team for the next week, and we are not going to opt out your contract next year ! " - Frank continued.
Mason: " Say what !? Me ? Clean after this team !? "
Frank waved with a smile on his face.
" Bye, maybe next time when you feel okay to clean after this team, for two weeks. " - he said.
Whole team looked after Mason, who left the room without looking back, with the cap's shadow on his face.

Carter with two points out of his career game.

Image

" He took the ball, shot it and it went it. We had our best defender,
Bowen, defending him, but damn, he just jumped out of the building when
Bruce got near him. Landed and slammed it to the hole. When the
defender was few meters away, he lit up a three pointer or a primary
shot. Damn, that game will be remembered for long time. " - Stan Van
Gundy's thoughts about Vince Carter's career night.

Vince Carter's career performance, 63 points and 9 assists. How hard can
be if most of the shots fall in the rim. None could stop his game, he
dunked on Howard, he dunked on Lewis, on Bowen, on everyone, he shot
over the blocks and so on. Next to Carter's 63 points and 9 rebounds, he
also had 2 assists, a steal and a block, sadly, but true, 6 turnovers. Next
top scorer from the Nets was Felix Rey with 10 points, who finished with 7
assists, 5 rebounds and a steal. After the final whistle, Ellis had 9 points,
Bogut had 7, next to 14 rebounds, 3 blocks and 2 steals. Krstic scored 4
points and grabbed 11 boards. Magic's leading scorer Jameer Nelson
finished with 27 points, 7 assists, 5 steals and 3 rebounds. Evans had 22
points, Lewis had 18 points and 18 rebounds, Howard, who also injuried
himself had 13 points and 13 rebounds.

The Rookie, Felix Rey was needed in the clutch time.

Image

" Down low, the Mavericks always needed help guarding Bogut. In the final
quarter, when Harris went steps away from Rey to help Fortsen with
guarding Andrew, we gave the ball to Rey and he dropped a shot from
behind the arc, giving us the lead. Terry did the same at the other end,
but Rey answered with a three again. Then the final minute was ticking,
the intentional fouls came in the game. We always gave the ball to Rey, he
rarely misses. He's a blessed young kid and helps our franchise a lot. "
- Lawrence Frank talking about Nets' gameplay.

The New Jersey Nets were 3-2, looking to go to another streak following 2
win streak and a 2 lose streak, now another 2 win streak, and they look
to brake that 2-2 streak. Mavericks are now with a record with 4 wins
facing 3 losses.

Like mostly, Nets' leading scorer was Carter, finishing with 27 points, 8
rebounds and 3 assists. He was followed by Rey, who scored 18 points,
handed out 7 assists, grabbed one rebound and had one steal. Bogut's
first half was excellent, he already had 8 points and 8 rebounds in the first
half, though he finished with 14 points, 11 rebounds and 3 blocks. Nenad
Krstic also held down 11 rebounds. Krstic finished with 8 points, just like
Monta Ellis. Almost everyone scored who wore the Nets uniform, except
the backup PF's, Williams and Haislip.

Mavericks' "MVP" was most likely their starting rookie, Fortsen, who
grabbed game high 14 rebounds and scored 17 points. Jason Terry
followed the matchup with 19 points and 5 rebounds. Nowitzki was limited
to just 10 points and 9 rebounds, though he finished with 3 block shots.
Devin Harris scored 17 points, made 5 assists and stole the ball twice. Just
like the Nets, almost every Maverick scored, except for a backup PF,
Juwan Howard, who finished with nothing more than 1 assist.

IM2FLASHY, Yeah, it's kind a cool to do facial dunks with Carter. Thanks.

MadNice, Indeed. I always look what my scout tells about next opponent team. He told me to send a double-team on Baron, he'll make turnovers then. ;) Possibly going to put Ellis on him too, and Rey on Azabukie or w/e his name was, because Baron-Monta matchup would be kind a cool, and probably Ellis can do better guarding him than Rey, but since I'll send a double-team, then it doesn't matter too much.

Thanks for the comments guys, keep them coming, and start commenting everyone else, too ! ;D
