Historical win over Blazers

Celtics are having a great season, and week 11 was not the exception. The team won 2/3 at Road, what shows that they are powerful both in home and away.
Celtics dominated Sonics during the whole game, but a horrible 4th quarter (lost by 22 points) sent the match to overtime, where Sonics took an advantage of 1 point to win the game. Paul Pierce had a good night, with 30 points and 10 rebounds, but a bad FG % of the team (specially during the 4th quarter) made them loose the match. Delonte West finished with 21 points, while Gerald Green scored 14. The rest of the team was a disaster: Perkins shot 3/11 FG, Jefferson 1/6, Szczerbiak 3/11, Anderson 1/8. Luke Ridnour had one of his best night of his life, he recorded a double-double, wirth 25 points and 14 asists. Ray Allen was also important, with 27 points.
Game versus Blazers was a party for Celtics. They won it by 46 points; An inspired Paul Pierce scored 39 points and 7 rebounds. Al Jefferson recorded a double-double. with 11 points and 13 rebounds. Wally Szczerbiak had another good performance from the bench, scoring 12 points and 6 asists. Celtics defense was the key to win the game by such a difference, Blazers only scored 71 points, shooting horrible FG %: 26/75 FG and 2/11 3PT.
Cavaliers were a difficult rival for Boston. The game was tied until the 3rd quarter, when Celtics won it by 10 points; This, added to the 8 points difference at the 4th quarter, made the final 107-89. Perkins was named player of the game, due to his 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks. Paul Pierce had another incredible night, with 27 points and 8 rebounds. Delonte West recorded a double-double, scoring 10 points and giving 11 asists. Ilgauskas was unstoppable for Celtics: He scored 24 points and 13 rebounds, while superstar Lebron James finished the night with only 18 points.
Memphis were more difficult than expected for Celtics. Boston entered the 4th quarter loosing by 11 points, but as great defense was the key to revert the situation. Paul Pierce is having an incredible season, this time he scored 32 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. Both Perkins and Jefferson recorded a double-double (Perkins: 12 points and 12 rebounds / Jefferson: 10 points and 12 rebounds). Derek Anderson scored 8 points in just 7 minutes, shooting a perfect 3/3 FG.

Noooooooooooooooo!

I am supporting you to win games, but not to beat my Blazers by 46 points! How could you?!?!?

Oh well, another good week (except loss to Sonics), keep it up!

Kurt Thomas is the new C of Boston

Celtics traded Scalabrine and Gomes (2 players that had just a couple of minutes this season) for an experienced C as Kurt Thomas. The objective of this trade was to bring a good defender to the team, who could defend superstar players like Tim Duncan or Jermaine O'Neal.
As Boston had a free spot, they decided to bring a PG from the free agents. The chosen one was Tony Delk, another experienced player who can defend really well.
Both of them (Thomas and Delk) are upcoming free agents, so their renew will depend on their performances and contract demands for next season.

Dallas Mavericks and Wahington Wizards made the trade of the season: Butler was sent to Dallas, while Terry is now a Wizard.

Awesome moves man, honestly two superior pick-ups. Regarding Kurt that was such a good move because now you add depth and experiance in the post and generally in the talls, Delks signing was also a great move and it should help a lot now that you have a wise head at PG good luck for those two and the rest of the team in the next game :D

Pistons were too much for Celtics

Week #12 was a good chance to win 3 easy games and test the team against a powerful one as Detroit. It finished 2-2, wich's not a bad result, but the match versus Orlando seemed too easy to lost.
Magic were though rivals for Boston. It was an even game, but Celtics horrible 4th quarter was a gift to Orlando. Paul Pierce did not have the best game of his life, shooting a poor 6/26 FG. Delonte West took the lead of the team: He scored 25 points and 6 asists. Perkins impressed with 16 rebounds, but in offensive he had a bad night, shooting 2/10 FG. Dwight Howard was the player of the game, due to his 11 points and 15 rebounds, that make a double-double.
Game versus Pacers at Boston was an excelent chance for returning to the winning path. Wally Szczerbiak had his season best game, with 28 points. Same for Telfair, that scored 27 points and 7 asists. Despite this performances, Paul Pierce was named the player of the game, with 17 points and 8 rebounds. Kurt Thomas made his debut as a Celtic: He had an excelent defense, with 10 rebounds, 2 blocks and 3 steals; But he had a poor performance at the offensive side, he shot only 2/10 FG, to finish with 6 points. Jamaal Tinsley and Granger scored 52 points between them, but it was noth enough.
Celtics did not play really good against Raptors, but they won the game anyway. Pierce scored 22 points and 9 rebounds (Player of the Game), while Kurt Thomas helped with 13 points, 8 rebounds and 2 blocks. Gerald Green shot a perfect 4/4 FG, to finish the night with 8 points. Olowokandi had an incredible game: Coming from the bench, he scored 11 points, grabbed 13 rebounds and 4 blocks. Kurt Thomas defense over Chris Bosh was the key to left him with only 12 points.
Visit to Detroit was known to be a difficult one, but Celtics had the hope to win the game. The team had a horrible game in the offensive side, specially in 3PT's (3/12). Pierce finished the night with 25 points and 8 rebounds, but it seemed that he was the only Celtic playing. Kurt Thomas had another great defense, with 8 rebounds, 4 steals and 4 blocks. Sheed Wallace scored 20 points and 16 rebounds, while argentinian Carlos Delfino brought 12 points from the bench, in only 19 minutes.

Celtics won 2 at road

Game versus Hawks was not as easy as it was suposed to be. Pierce's great performance lead Celtics to win the match. The Truth finished the night with 36 points, 6 rebounds and 5 asists. Tony Delk and Wally Szczerbiak brought 23 points from the bench (Delk: 12 points, 2 rebounds, 2 asists / Szczerbiak: 11 points, 2 rebounds, 2 asists). In Atlanta, Joe Johnson scored 16 points, but shooting only 5/9 FG (1/1 at 3 pointers).
Despite Celtics good 4th quarter, Kings won the game because of Bibby's jump shot with only 1.3 seconds left. Paul Pierce had another wonderful match, but his teammates didnt play good basketball, at least it wasnt enought to win the game. Ron Artest was the player of the game, due to his 29 points, 7 rebounds, 4 asists and 5 steals. Abdur-Rahim also had a good night, recording a double-double (18 points and 16 rebounds).
Visit to Washington was quite easy for Celtics: They dominated the game from the beginning to the end. Paul Pierce showed once again that he deserves the MVP award, scoring 30 points, added to 8 rebounds and 6 asists. Wally Szczerbiak had another good performance: coming from the bench, he scored 11 points and 3 rebounds. Gilbert Arenas scored only 16 points, with a bad 7/19 FG.
