Tuesday 5th November Detroit @ Cleveland
Preview

The Pistons have been red hot in the early season crushing teams on there way to a 5-0, today they travel to Cleveland a good 4-2 record. The Cavs have announced that Lebron James is fit to play after undergoing a fitness test earlier although he will have to carry a solo load against the pistons with Donyell Marshall to miss and the Pistons now have Turkoglu and Maxiell to back up Prince. The Cavs are also weak at PF with only a young rookie to play after losing Drew Gooden to the Bobcats so expect Webber and Dampier to have good days.
Prediction  pistons win by 6 88-82.

SG- L. Hughes
PG- E. Snow

Summary
Pistons were fired up as the tip went there way, much to the dislike to a packed house of Cleveland fans. Early the pistons pounded inside the post and gave Cavs headaches, although Hughes had all the answer early scoring the Cavs first 5 points. But then Pistons got to running the fast break and started drawing fouls on the Cleveland and LeBron had to two off them so he was off and the Cavs were just not performing. The pistons then extended the lead out to four with just 2 minutes to play, but these two minutes belong to the Cavs Billups fouls twice in two plays and he had 3 fouls and then Cleveland took the lead and extended it out to two points with one possession left for each team which suited the pistons as they triggered from down-town to take a scrappy 21-20 lead at the first break.

As soon as the second started Mourning and Dampier where using there experience for points and rebounds as the pistons went bucket for bucket with the Cavs. Until Cleveland broke the deadlock taking a 27-23 lead. Although when it went to the other end Mourning was fouled by LeBron and that saw the end of LeBron’s half whilst mourning hit both free-throws to get the pistons even closer. Both teams battles for baskets until the outset of the half and the pistons won taking a 2 point lead at the Half.

Detroit Player at the half  R. Wallace 14 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 blocks
Cleveland player at the half  L. Hughes 13 points, 1 rebound and 1 steal

At the start of the 3rd it was end to end stuff. Both teams went on runs and the game was being played at a hectic pace but the Cavs were getting the better out of it taking a 54-51 lead late in the 3rd. But as quickly as Cleveland got there lead the pistons took it back as Wallace and Billups were up to there old tricks to give pistons a 64-58 lead at the end of the 3rd.

As the last started LeBron picked up foul number early after he had played very little time and the pistons were delighted considering he had the first 4 points of the last. But the pistons couldn’t take advantage with the Cavs hitting the front 67-65, But then some scrappy pistons Defence caused a few turnover and pistons jumped out to a 73-67 lead. But the Cleveland never gave up as Pavlovic and Hughes hit consecutive three pointers and had the game at 78-82 in the pistons favour. But then Cleveland had to foul and Reliable Chauncey went 6-6 to give them a 90-82 win (so close to prediction).

Note: LeBron James only played 7 minutes during the match

Trade Rumours [Tuesday 5th November]

Rumour is that Pistons Defensive specialist Tayshaun Prince is unhappy with ball distribution through the team is extremely unhappy with the present circumstances. The pistons attempted to feed Prince more but the post was already filled and then the room for Webber and Wallace to work dramatically decreased. The pistons are yet to identify weather he will stay a piston but things are looking grim for Tayshaun and the pistons future together. The pistons have now put Prince on the Trading block and are waiting for any offers, If the situation progresses the public will be told immediately.

BLOCKBUSTER MOVE Thursday 7th December

The pistons were offered the trade of Tayshaun Prince, Jason Maxiell and Eric Dampier for Dallas superstars Dirk Nowitzki and Josh Howard the pistons have accpeted and this will be a great boost to the locker room morale of the pistons as Tayshaun was complaing about not having the ball in his hands enough and Jason was just not fitting in with the roster rotation.

This Trade sees

Detroit Aquire: Dirk Nowitzki (87 overall, superstar inside scorer and 90 field goal Shooter) aswell as Josh Howard (80 overall up and Coming star) join the Pistons.

ImageImage

Dalla aquire: The mavs pick up 3 Big men in Maxiell (69),Dampier (68) and Tayshaun Prince (84) although with the loss of Howard and Nowitzki they will be a much weaker scoring unit and less powerful on the perimeter with only terry.

... A great trade for you obviously, since you now have an incredibly stacked team, but very unrealistic. There is no way Dallas would do that in real life.

Yeh i was quiet surprised to but they also had full intrest in Dampier and Prince so I think that may have impacted there decision. But obviously not a problem with me :D now i will play Nowitzki off the bench giving him about 15 mins a match, should be good :!:

Very true. and if you do sim, you might not go 29 and nothing with the simming :D I will be following and supporting this although I may not always be able to leave comments while I work with my own. Nice Dynasty :D

Thursday 7th December Washington @ Detroit

Preview

Dirk Nowitzki Comes in to play his first game as a piston today I expect him and Wallace to be the Difference because Washington just can’t win if those to get going and if they both tally high 20’s in the points category I think the game is over right there. The Wizards also need to watch out for the quick hands of the back court and also Howard’s long stealing arms. The pistons can’t allow Billups to get in the lane because that when his passing gets dangerous and they have to cut off his passing lanes. If the Wizards can stop all this they will have a chance but I don’t think thwy can so my prediction is Pistons by 11, 92-81

Pistons starting 5
C- R. Wallace
PF- C. Webber
SF- T. Prince
SG- R. Hamilton
PG- C. Billups

Cleveland starting five
C- B. Haywood
PF- A. Jamison
SF- J. Hayes
SG- M. Tomsa
PG- G. Arenas

OVERTIME THRILLLER

Summary
1st quarter-Early in the 1st quarter There wasn’t a lot to say except for the lack of defence being played, it was hectic both teams running up and done the court going bucket for bucket. As Howard got his first steal and finished of for the lay-up, the pistons then commanded the quarter, taking a 14-8 lead and making it a 17-12 lead when Haywood got injured (not serious), The pistons capitalised taking a 27-20 lead into the 2nd quarter (Rasheed had 21).

2nd quarter-Recruit Dirk Nowitzki took off from where there starters got them to last quarter as he dominated the block and the dominated the perimeter. Until he was doubled teamed and struggled to score but at the same time he was being hack a ‘Nowitzted’. Then dirk got his new team-mates involved and at the half the Pistons had built a 46-46 ball game which evolved around dirk and Wallace who had 36 points combined.

3rd quarter-In the 3rd Pistons got of to a horrible start an Billups left with an injury and they trailed, but then ‘Sheed’ went back to back on triples which exited young gun B.B carpenter to have a go and he didn’t disappoint hitting a contested three and putting the Pistons up by 8 (59-51). But then Wizard went on a scoring frenzy taking a 75-69 lead.

4th quarter-Pistons rallied early and by the time Wizards made it to 81 it was just a 2 point deficit, with the crowd roaring, As Dirk dominated so did Arenas keeping the Wizards ahead in the dieing stages. The pistons quickly regained the lead but then rookie M. Tomsa straight away regained it back with a 3-point play. But the Pistons kept there cool forcing three straight turnovers to regain a 96-93 lead. But the Wizards weren’t done they pressured on defence and forced a last minute turnover to making it just a 1 point game. Arenas got an amazing steal and took it down the other end hitting a contested triple but Piston weren’t going to give up and with 2 seconds left Dirk Nowitzki hit a clutch two pointer to tie it up. A quick pass saw arenas have a half court shot for the win and he came cm’s short forcing OT.

Overtime-In overtime Pistons dominated from the word go with Wallace winning the tip and getting them off to a 4-0 run but Wizards got straight back in it and even taking a lead with just over I a minute to go, Pistons look like they had command but they just couldn’t hold the defensive rebounds and wizard stayed just 1 point behind with 30 seconds to play. Dirk then hit a clutch shot to give Wizards 8.0 seconds trailing by 3. The Wizards gave it to Gilbert the shot went up and from that moment the roaches crowd erupted and Pistons had a 118-115 Overtime thrilling win

Lol well what i do with my rotation policy is the first five or so minutes of the 1st quarter are starters then i sub on my bench players and leave them on until there is about 2-4 minutes left in a half where i bring back on my starters then i do the same in the 2nd half except Dirk plays all of the 2nd quarter and last plus some of the other on foul occasions P.S I also don't have dirk in my starting five because then i would have no bench power.

wow. nice pickup of dirk, i really cant believe that offered it to you!! and he is a good use off the bench. won that game for you against wizards, and that was also a very good recap for that game.

would be crazy to see you go undefeated for the season, but they way you are going you might br able to do it. so far it would be embarrassing not to make the NBA Finals at this stage.

but anyway, keep it up. and also........U have some viewers!!

Inside goss interview [Dirk Nowitzki]

Reporter (3PK): Hello Dirk

Dirk: Hello 3PK

3PK: Lets get straight into what was your thought process when you where offered the Chance to Play with the Pistons :?:

Dirk: well i anaylised the situation like this, Who has a the Best chance of getting to the final :?: Detroit, Where do i suit the rotation :?: Probably Dallas but with the pistons i'm the player everything evolves around when Wallace isn't on the court and i think with Wallace, Webber, Mourning and myself we are unstopable and finally Where do i have Team-mates and people i like around me? DEFINATLEY DETROIT there's always a happy mood in that change room over at dallas i had players complaing because of loses, game time etc. Here there disicplane and you don't really think you can lose

3PK: do you think Detroit are ready to win a championship :?:

Dirk: Yeh definately, probably one of the biggest reason why i came hear.

3PK: Now off topic But in that Washington game when they told you that your the guy they want to go to in his first game to send the match into overtime what did you think :?:

Dirk: Thats when i thought to myslef these guys think i'm the real-deal this is a big match to stamp authority for the Pistons, i couldn't scripted my first match any better and to get carrer high numbers was great i can't wait to try and keep that form going.

3PK: Do you like that fact that the pistons have 3-4 weapons in there starting line-up and that you play the key bench player who puts up big numbers, or would you rather play in that starting 5 :?:

Dirk: I love the Pistons rotation i am aware that if i am in the starting 5 we will have very little bench points and we'll be forced to give our starters extra time and therefore play fatigued, tired and unhappy.

3PK: Finally completely off topic, Do you think that The Piston with Josh and you can go undefeated :?:

Dirk: No doubt :!:

3PK: Thank you for your time Dirk and good luck for the rest off the season especially tommorrow against Mavs

Dirk: No problem any time 3PK

Dude, Dirk off the bench? WTF Your starting lineup still appears to have Prince btw. Anyway, DO NOT bench Dirk. He is a much better player than Webber. Benching the MVP is retarded. Your starters should be: Wallace - Dirk - Howard - Hamilton - Billups, or, if you must start Webber, play Dirk at SF. That will cause match up problems.

Anyway, great dynasy, but I hope you'll eventually lose a game.

Yeah, that line-up is scary. No, it's ridiculous. Crazy. Just-about unbeatable.

Plus if anyone gets injured, you have a good sixth man and Josh Howard can shuffle into a guard position.

Pistons to Trial Line-up

Hey Yeh Because of Popular Demand i am going to trial this line-up, on trial if Dirk and Wallaces Numbers drop i will change it again.

C- Wallace
PF- Nowitzki
SF- Howard
SG- Hamilton
PG- Billups

Then on the bench i will have Webber to keep a offensive threat The line-up goes
C- Mourning
PF- Webber
SF- Turkoglu
SG- B.B  Carp (his new nickname)
PG- Nelson

What do you guys think of this Trial Line-up :?:

P.S guys if i'm not playing as many matches it's b-coz now i only have 4 hours hen i get home to fit in Ball, Stacks of Home work and my forum but i'll try my best to.
