Wow three players with over 10 rebounds, that's amazing... Glad that Marvin was working for ya, without him this could've turn into a deep loss...Looks like the team is getting along, good job!

I bet you're using Jimmy's lightning, don't u?

Thu Dec 07, 2006 4:23 am

Good and important win. I think it is the time to step up for Marvin Williams this year and he is doing fine at this moment. And that Marvin pic is hm.. very nice.

What game speed do you use? Because in that Speedy Claxton video I noticed that he is running kinda slow.

Thu Dec 07, 2006 4:34 am

Nice win and even nicer performance by Williams.
btw. do you use the default sliders or tweaked ones?

@Marquis
I think the video was not made with full-speed in instant replay.

cheers eisfeld

Thu Dec 07, 2006 4:48 am

Pursuer, thx for your comment, yeah I am using it since I saw it in your game, it is sweet ;)

Marquis, thx, I do really expect a lot from him, he can shoot, rebound, score inside ... the complete package. Game speed is anywhere ~30-35, I do not like it when the PGs are too quick to defend, but the game is faster than in the vid, since the vid is kinda laggy ... dunno why though.

eisfeld, thank you for your interest, my sliders are tweaked, things like defense assistance or block, steals, free throw and game speed are a matter of taste. I think it gives me pretty realistic stats.

Thu Dec 07, 2006 5:27 am

Just noticed you're playing 12 mintues quarter. No wonder your rebounding stats look so realitstic :) Well I think I have to tweak mine because I never get realistic stats with 7 mintues quarter.

Anyway, congrats again! Awesom Dynasty.

thx ;)

Well since I intervene at halftime 12 mins is quite comfortable, does not take too long time. Full games are cool, too, but I had to sub for the cpu, no thanks.

Thu Dec 07, 2006 7:52 am

Well 30-35 is good. I'm playing at 30 . But when I saw that vid I thought that is about 15 or even 10.

After two consecutive games at home going for 1-1, the Hawks are back on the road and visit the Toronto Raptors in tonight´s matchup. The Hawks are looking to take away the win from Canada after having four full days to recover from Monday´s win over the Orlando Magic. Marvin Williams had his breakout party on Monday and showed all the critic that he is able to contribute big in this league. He is averaging a double-double after three games. Joe Johnson finds himself in a comfortable postition as the third best scorer in the league just behind Kevin Garnett and Gilbert Arenas. He is also among the top 20 passers averaging 5.3 assists. His congenial partner in the backcourt, Speedy Claxton is playing a great season so far and will have his hands full to guard TJ Ford in the battle of two of the quickest guards in the league. Ford is playing quite well this season and averages 7.8 assists per game, ranked 9th in the league together with Baron Davis. Toronto´s go-to-guy Chris Bosh does also have a great season so far averaging 18 ppg and 12 rpg. But the others were not able to contribute consistently. The Raptors fell short in the last three games including a 16 point blow out on Wednesday vs the 76ers and a dramatic loss @Cleveland on Tuesday, when Lebron James beat the buzzer to win the game (98-99). We want to bounce back from that tough three loss streak and a home game vs the Hawks should be the best opportunity, although we really have respect.[...]Joe Johnson is playing amazing so far", Coach Sam Mitchell said this afternoon. With a 1-4 record the Raptors really need to step up and win this one in order to stop the loosing streak and to get back on the right track. Tip-off will be at 7:00 p.m. @ the Air Canada Center.

Bosh, Raptors roll past Hawks

Toronto, Nov. 10th(AP) -- Chris Bosh scores a career-high 38 and grabs 19 boards for the home win.

The Atlanta Hawks suffered a very tough loss versus the Toronto Raptors who were able to snatch up their three game loosing streak. It was again Chris Bosh who was able to give his team the boost they desperately needed. Bosh had 19 points and 5 rebounds in the first half but was even able to improve his game in the 2nd. Atlanta´s Go-to-Guy, Joe Johnson was the absolute opposite of Bosh this night. After scoring 20+ in the last three games, Johnson hit only one of his seven shots in the first half and scored only 12 points in the game. "It just had not been his night and we definitely see what happens when he has such an off-night. We cannot handle our offense when he is cold. And I want to do everything to solve this problem.", an angry Coach Mike Woodson said, also mentioning that he does not exclude some conversation with G.M. Hov regarding roster movements. The Hawks were down by 18 at the half and were not able to come back in the third. Chris Bosh dominated the glass and created many second chance points for the Raptors, he had 8 offensive boards in the ball game. TJ Ford did a good job on controlling the offense but struggled from the three point line all night long. "He had the room to nail these threes, Atlanta did not defend very well, but I think we settled a little bit too much for those shots. This could have been a bigger blowout without many little mistakes by us"., Coach Sam Mitchell said afterwards. In the fourth quarter the Hawks finally made some good plays, also because the Raptors did not really continue playing. Josh Smith was the best Hawk. He had not only 19 points but also 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 blocks. Marvin Williams was again able to achieve a double-double with 18 and 10, but it just was not enough. We settled for some unnecessary shots, and if you look at the blocked shots, you see our lack of strenght around the basket", Joe Johnson claimed. All in all the Raptors had no problems defeating the Hawks and are 2-4 now. The next game for the Hawks will be tomorrow at home vs the Seattle Supersonics. The Hawks have still not found any rhythm and want to start a streak. Stay tuned for a preview soon.

what a block by josh smith!
good luck for yhe next game :)

Sat Dec 09, 2006 12:46 am

Monstrous performance by Bosh... You rarely see such numbers in a game without OT's...

It's a tough loss, but I like a few things... First of all your rebounding looks pretty solid in the latest games...The other one is the 4th quarters, it's always good to win the last one, and last, but not the least, stealing. Such things can cause a mess in the opponents game, well you're doing quite well in stats, but it doesn't look that good on the record... Good luck next time...!

Sat Dec 09, 2006 1:51 am

Well hard loss, but as far as I know you are intervening at the 3rd, right? So in this game you intervened having 18 points deficit, so its very difficult to turn things around and outplay these 18 points. I don't know if you know that or not, but you can press the play button after the 2 quarters past and then return again to the schedule if you are not happy with the score and try again to simulate. I know its some kind of cheating  But starting to play with the 18 points deficit is a real challenge.

And yeah that block by Smith is great.

Sun Dec 10, 2006 3:53 am

looser, thx for your interest, I did also like that block ;)

Pursuer, thx, the only stat that sucks is my field goal percentage, that is my main problem .... stealing is quite nice with claxton and johnson.

Marquis, well I think it is a challenge, and it is just realistic to be down by a large margin with the Atlanta Hawks, that is why I just played ... and lost.

thx for your interest, I will update tomorrow I think

Man, you lost. Hope you kick Seattle ass.

The Seattle Supersonics head over to Atlanta for tonight´s matchup against the Hawks. Both teams come off disappointing losses. The Hawks were not able to contain Chris Bosh and went down @Toronto. The Supersonics lost vs the Charlotte Bobcats by 15 points. The Sonics still try to find their postgame this season. Chris Wilcox is doing quite well with 12 points per game, but the others tend to take shots from outside and do not give the Sonics a big presence under the basket. Their outside touch, however, is excellent. .411% sound good and are enough to be the 3rd-best team in the league. The big three, Ray Allen, Rashard Lewis and Luke Ridnour are averaging 50 ppg and each of them can decide a game singlehandedly. Although the Sonics are only 2-3 this season they played very good basketball at times and lost in unfortunate ways. The bench is able to give the team a boost but not good enough for Western Conference standards.
The Hawks are quite the opposite. They were able to score in the post, but had many problems knocking down shots from outside. Marvin Williams is getting better and better and Joe Johnson tended more to driving to the basket than to hit open shots. This difference between both teams makes it a very interesting matchup between two potential playoff contenders. It will also be interesting to see how Hawks´ Go-to-Guy Johnson will be able to bounce back from his horrible performance vs the Raptors where he only scored 12 points. I do not care about what the critics say or what the media expects from me. I do not need to score many points as long as we win the game", Johnson said. Let´s see if some other players are able to step up and score for the Hawks. Tip-Off will be at 7:00 p.m. @Phillips Arena.

I think it's gonna be tough, but because of homecourt advantage, you'll win...

Second consecutive loss for the Hawks in home-blowout vs Sonics
Seattle Supersonics 116, Atlanta Hawks 98
Image
Atlanta, Nov. 11th(AP) -- Big Three combine for 79 points to seal the win.

It was what is at best described as an "off-night" or a "blowout". The Hawks hosted the Seattle Supersonics and were never able to get their job done offensively as well as defensively. From the very first minute the Sonics started to attack the rim and play aggressively while the Hawks gave the impression that they were affected by the trip from Toronto to Atlanta without a day to rest. Ray Allen, Luke Ridnour and Rashard Lewis combined for 35 of their 79(!) points in the first half. Ridnour did also dish out 5 assists. However, he was defensively bound by Speedy Claxton who used his speed to drive through the lane and brought 13 points to the scoreboard in the first two quarters. Joe Johnson did again go into hiding in the first half. "I know that these two games were not anywhere near my usual performances and I am sure I can get back on the right track and help the team winning more games than now. Most of my points came when we did not need them anymore", he said.
The Sonics went into the 3rd with a 12 point lead. And Ray Allen came out on fire. Although he did only hit one of his six three point attempts, unusual for him, he showed that he is more a scorer than a shooter and created his own shots and drove through the lane. His three point play circus shot gave the Sonics a 15 point lead late in the 3rd.
Joe Johnson seemed to be eased with no pressure on him anymore and began to warm up. He scored 19 points in the 4th, but it was a typical garbage time, Seattle did not defend properly anymore and took shot after shot but hit these extremely well. Marvin Williams again achieved a double-double, 18 points and 10 rebounds for the North Carolina youngster. For the Sonics Rashard Lewis had 20 points and 14 rebounds, Luke Ridnour scored 25 points and had 9 dimes and Ray Allen went for 34 points. Tough loss for the Hawks who will try to bounce back in 4 days against the Milwaukee Bucks @Atlanta."I think the conditions were bad today, no day to rest and then playing vs the Sonics who are a team that makes you work on defense, so you are exhausted when it comes to offense, we will bounce back vs the Bucks", Coach Mike Woodson told the press.

ImageExcept Joe Johnson, again none of the Hawks could sink a three.
ImageRobert Swift had amazing 21 rebounds.
ImageHawks shot only .514% from the charity stripe
ImageSpeedy Claxton had a season-low 3 assists.

Oh.. Man this is the worst game of the season, .514% free-throw shooting??? You must be kidding me.. Step up man, step up, if you're going to play like this, you're going straight to the bottom...

Mon Dec 11, 2006 4:23 am

When you need to shot a FT just change controler. Let to CPU shot your Free Throws.

Mon Dec 11, 2006 1:23 pm

Very bad game. Johnson's statistics were good, but as you said it was just garbage time points. So you need to step for sure vs Bucks, pretty good opponent to do so, just watch for Redd's 3s. Anyway looking for that game preview

Tue Dec 12, 2006 2:46 am

Pursuer, Well youre just exaggerating a bit, but it was pretty weak that is right. I do have some problems hitting free throws at times. Thx for your interest ;)

BeByeMiS, you can just let the cpu shoot your freethrows by pushing the shoot button. I just try to do it myself. thx for ya interest

Marquis, I think I can handel the Bucks, although Redd is very very good in the game. JJ is doing quite good, although his shooting percentage is still not that good. I hope I can improve in this area. Thx for comment.

Milwaukee Bucks on the road facing the Atlanta Hawks for their seventh game this season. And it is time for the Bucks to get things done. With the weakest record of the league (1-6) and a six loss streak behind them the Bucks look to shake things up. This season did show that they rely on one person when it comes to offense. Michael Redd has not found his rhythm yet. Only 13 points per game are not enough for the one time All-Star. Although Charlie Villanueva and Bobby Simmons were able to step up, the guards do lack a real outside scorer at the moment. "It is just a tough streak and I think we can step up and beat the Hawks, also in Atlanta., Redd says. But with only 86.3 points per game the Bucks rank on the last spot in the league. The 99-78 loss at home vs Utah three days ago showed their problem, when none player of the Bucks was able to score more than 15 points. They did also loose last night @Washington where they were not able to contend Gilbert Arenas who poured in 35 and dished out 9 assists. Thus this must be the perfect for the Hawks. After two disappointing losses against the Sonics and the Raptors the Hawks will try to beat the Hawks to go for .500%. Joe Johnson will again be the most important Hawk. When he is hot from outside the Hawks do not only have to play the ball into the post. Marv Williams could be able to cause damage under the basket though. He has four consecutive double-doubles now, 18/10 in the last two losses. The Hawks need to work on their shooting touch though. The Tip-Off for this interesting Eastern Conference battle will be @ 7 p.m.

 Bucks suck... This one must be easy, don't try to lose...

Good luck against Bucks, shouldn't be too difficult (at least you're almost sure to shoot better than last game  )
