Cavs not able to beat the powered up Sonics…
Image

Sonics won

The Game

Cleveland Cavaliers another team in the list which has been beaten in Seattle’s beautiful run. The game begun really great for the Sonics. They started scoring fast and successful. Cleveland was shocked and showed weak defense. But they woke up and somehow managed to tie the score. But a few shots and Sonics` won the first quarter. Then Larry Hughes and Zydrunas Ilgauskas started pulling the team out of the loss. In the whole game Ilgauskas scored 20 points and didn`t miss a shot. Something like this was done by Macijauskas. He entered the court and in not many minutes scored 15 points, 3/4 three pointers and some other mid-range shots. He had the hot hand that day. James scored 20+ points to help and narrow the gap. He made a few three pointers in the last quarter to take the tie or the lead, but it didn`t help. Chris Paul showed that he can play really better scoring 27 points. Brown was good as always, the same was with Bogut. Maggette can`t show his real game.

Raptors go back to their age…
Image

Sonics won

The Game

Raptors were crushed from the beginning of the game. Sonics` started explosively, gained a 10 point lead in 3 minutes and didn`t let it go. The further the game was going the bigger the lead was getting. Maggette was hot shot that night. He made many threes and scored 32 points. I think he borrowed Macijauskas` skill, because Arvydas was shooting poorly. Paul was a great again, scoring 19 points, 6 assists stole 4 balls. Sonics` scored 142 points and won the game by 36 points. In the Raptors Bosh, Rose, Calderon were better, combining 66 points. Raptors made 32 turnovers, it was one of the main reason why did they lost. They played really poor defense and Sam Mitchell was really mad. They were defending more inside players than outside. And that was their main defensive problem. They blocked only 2 shots. The Raptors could be great if they just would learn how to play good defense.

Orlando slipped at last step…
Image

Sonics won

The Game

Orlando had to make one step to end the streak of the Sonics, but slipped. Game began different than the others. Orlando started scoring fast and successfully. But a few minutes later Sonics powered up and tied the score. In the end of the first Francis was injured by Kwame Brown. Something was wrong with his hand and he was out of the game. Sonics thought that it will be a first easy win, but suddenly Orlando exploded and gained a 10 point lead. Some of the reasons of this run was Macijauskas bad shooting and taking poor shots. But it didn`t last long .In the 3rd Wade and Maggette worked really hard a tied the score. In the 4th Wade was doing the job. Scored many points and held the team. At the last seconds Sonics` had a 3 point lead and Hedo Turkoglu made a last second three pointer. After it Seattle`s attack was unsuccessful. In the overtime both of the teams tried to take the win without a thriller. Sonics were successful because of Wade. Orlando had a 1 point lead, and Wade made a 3 pointer. Than after an unsuccessful attack Orlando fouled. Sonics made both three throws. The again Orlando missed the shot and fouled again Sonics made only 1 of 2 three throws and took the win…Wade scored 42 points, Jameer Nelson scored his career high 32 points.

Try to trade some players, or just simulate some games to get close to the end of the season or to ASW

Trade rumours

A few days ago Corey Maggette talked to Sonics` GM Rick Sund and the team owner. He was talking about that he wants to leave the team. He doesn`t like the teams position and wants to be in a team which would have more chances to win the championship. I like playing here, but I don`t think we can win the championship, he said. I think that if I would be traded to a better team I would be happier.

And now the rumours are that Seattle is intrested in Shawn Marion"The Matrix" who plays in Phoenix Suns right now. Corey Maggette agrees to be in Phoenix in such superstars like Amare Stoudamire and Steve Nash.

Hey there! Can you send me your end of season pstat file so I can evaluated your 'efficiency' scores? If you don't know how to do that, go ahead and click on my Sig for instructions.

In terms of making the Dynasty more interesting...try writing one blog from the point of view of a player, then a coach, then a GM, or one of the Seattle Times sports writers! ...just a suggestion.

Another deal

"Another deal. We have acquired Shawn Marion and Channing Frye in a three-team deal."said GM Rick Sund in the press conference."The trade was between us Seattle Supersonics, Phoenix Suns and New York Knicks. Seattle sent Corey Maggette and Andrew Bogut to Phoenix, Phoenix sent Shawn Marion to Seattle and Jimmy Jackson to New York, New York sent Channing Frye to Seattle."
"Shawn Marion, this player was really wanted, but Maggette`s statement encouraged us to make a deal, head coach of the Sonics Stan Van Gundy said. He will be really helpful, he can shoot, he is really fantastic in deffense, he likes to pass and can play great team game. Channing Frye another rookie. He isn`t at his best, but we will try to make 100% out of him. He has great talent as a big man and will be a great center for Andrew Bogut, that we traded."

Denver wasn`t lucky
Image

Sonics won

The Game
Denver is really going down, comparing to their last season their power forward Kenyon Martin is losing power. At this game he scored only 10 points and did no defensive plays. He was blocked many time, one time even by Dwyane Wade. Carmelo Anthony and Voshon Lenard were the team’s offensive force. Lenard nailed 5 of 9 three pointers and scored 28 points. Carmelo Anthony scored 36 points, shooting 17 of 20 field goals. Oh by the way Andre Miller did 14 assists. Still they needed Marcus and Kenyon, but they didn`t get their help. While Denver was struggling in the first Wade and Marion were on fire. Wade scored 35, Marion 28 points. Brown cought 11 offensive rebounds. Denver woke up in the 4th, but it was too late.
