24, 24 and 22. They were the points scored by former Cav Ricky Davis, Al Jefferson and Paul Pierce.
Together they formed a nice inside outside game, that just got them over the line against the Cavs.

LeBron and his Cavs couldnt handle the pressure put on them all game from the Celtic trio. Cleveland never had a more than 3 point lead against the Celtics, who, despite a near tripple double game from LeBron, pulled out a 108-105 road victory against the D-less Cavs.

"Its been the story all year for the Cavs, so we did what any logical team would do, take it to their defence from a variety of options, inside and out. And it worked." Paul Pierce said after the game.

"I knew I had a great oppurtunity to take it to tender from injury Drew Gooden, and I had a career night. I just hope I can provide this type of performance more often and solidify my spot in the starting 5." Al Jefferson on his game.

The Cavs yet again looked a step behind on defence, but showed some promising signs in the 3rd, forcing 8 of the 16 Boston turnovers.
There was almost nothing wrong with the Cavs offense, scoring well, passing well, shooting well, just about everything. LeBron had another great game with, 24 points, 15 rebounds, 9 assists, 4 steals and 2 blocks. The Cavs are now sitting on a 6-5 record.

106 from starting 5 lead to Cav win over O'Neal-less Pacers

The Cavs finally got a team not score 100. They went 6 games in a row with teams scoring 100 or more. But this game that didnt happen and they picked up the win on the road against the Pacers.

If you look at the stat sheet, you see another great LeBron game, but it was different from the other games he played this season. He looked alot more calm and like he had everything under control, and not just on the offensive end. He got his 3rd tripple double of the season, and it was his lowest scoring one.
Larry Hughes who has paid off for the Cavs so far offensively, finally showed his first great defensive game, holding Stephen Jackson to 6-17 shots and 15 points, whilst doing a great job on the offensive end himself, scoring 33 on 11-17 shooting.

"I was real happy with myself tonight, not because I got thirty-whatever, but because I held S-Jax to 15 on poor shooting. I think this game was a good sign of things to come for our defense." Hughes told after the game.

Jermaine O'Neal, who missed the game due to injury, was replaced in the lineup by Jon Bender, who scored 16 to go along with 3 blocks and 6 boards.

Cavs 1-0 in new Jersey

As soon as the Cavs tore off their warmup gear, the crowd gave a big "ohhh" which was followed by a loud cheer because they finally saw the new Cleveland alternate jersey which had been a mystery up and til that moment.
LeBron and his crew werent about to spoil the Jerseys first night as they played their best defensive games of the year.

The Cavs for the first time this season held a team to less than 80. They actually hadnt held a team to less than 90, so it was a big accomplishment.
The only problem was their offense. They shot a miserable 37% from the floor. But that didnt matter, as it was their defense that won them the game, and some luck.

It was close all game, right up until the final seconds, in fact, milliseconds.
KG hit two free throws with 7.5 left to put his team up 1. Cleveland took a timeout, and ran a play for LeBron, who performed it perfectly off a nice dish from Hughes. He lay'd it in with 2.9 seconds left on the clock to put his team up 1.
On the next and final possesion, Minny inbounded to KG who dropped stepped and put up the shot from 19 feet out which just rimmed out, Eddie Griffin managed to get the offensive board and tip it back up, but luckily for the Cavs, that also rimmed out.

"I was at the top of the key on Szerb, so I was basically a spectator. But I was just nullified, as I knew I couldnt make it in time. But when that final buzzer went and the crowd rose, it was one of the greatest feelings Ive ever had." Eric Snow said after the game.

The Cavs are now on a 2 game steak, which in both of those games, they have held their opponent to no more than 97.

Cavs acquire disgruntled star

Image

Today the Cavs announced that they have acquired disgruntled star Peja Stojakovic.
In exchange the Sacramento Kings recieved Eric Snow, Luke Jackson and cash considerations.

Since before the start of the season, Peja hasnt been comfortable in Sacramento, and it has showed in his performance on the court, averaging career lows in almost everything.

"Peja hasnt being playing Peja-ish, but we feel a new environment, and a change of personel will help him a whole lot, especially now that he will get a lot of space with LeBron, Hughes, Ilgauskas all spreading the court.
At first we were not keen on giving up our starting PG Eric Snow, but you gotta give to get. Him along with Luke Jackson will be sorely missed.
Jackson never really fitted in the system after getting back from his rookie season injury, and in Sacramento he should get his chance." GM Zac Mousoulis announced at the recent Cavs press conference.

"Peja had expressed his want to leave, and we told him we would grant him that oppurtunity when we felt the time was right. We had been looking for a good offer, but not desperately, because if there was any chance we could keep him, we woulda done it, but that wasnt the case.
We hadnt even been interested in talking to the Cavs, but when I saw an offer on my PDA, I couldnt help to look into it some more.
We were in desperate need of a PG, and Eric Snow has been playing fantastic for Cleveland this season. Also, Luke Jackson is someone I had been looking at ever since he got drafted.
We offered Cleveland something back then for him, but they didnt take it. Now that we have him, we will make good use and he should get valuable court time." Kings GM told.

Peja scores 25 in new uniform

Clippers Boxscore: Click Here

It couldnt have gone any better for the new Cav. Peja scored a season high 25 points on 8/14 shooting and 3/6 behind the arc to help get the Cavs another victory.

All season he looked like another player, scoring only 11 per game, and hitting less than 30% for 3s, less than 80% for fts and less than 35% for field goals, all very unlike Peja.
But it all changed, not only did he make all his free throws, half his 3s and more than half his field goals, he scored 25, more than double his average.

"I just flew in here 2 days ago, and only trained with the guys once. But they are such a great welcoming group and made me feel like Ive been here for a lot longer. Most importantly they made it easy for me on the court, and I think it showed." Peja on his new teammates.

"I didnt even know they got him (Peja) until coach was talking about it in the lockerroom before the game.
At first, we didnt really notice him, but all of a sudden, he was running round screens, doing all this fancy shit that he used to do, and we couldnt keep up." Elton Brand on Peja.

The Cavs went with Larry Hughes at the point, who played there when he was in College.
At times LeBron would take over and Hughes would move to the 2 guard.
They both didnt shoot the ball too well, but they both had good all around games, and most importantly, good defense on Sam Cassell and Cutino Mobley.

The Clippers started off well, but after Peja got adjusted in the system, the Cavs never looked back, after taking the lead in the 2nd, they never let LA within 6.

CAVALIERS MONTHLY RECAP: NOVEMBER

As expected, the Cavs started out the season playing good offensively and bad defensively.
They still managed to win their first 4 of 5, but they started to look worse and worse defensively and slowly it affected the offense.
LeBron had an MVP like first month, averaging nearly a triple double, and leading the team in Points, Assists, Steals and a variety of percentages and mades.
Hughes adjusted to the Cavs system brilliantly averaging over 20 a game being the second leading scorer, whilst getting good stats all across the board. The other new guys, Donyell and Jones did what they came for, and knocked down a lot of threes.
Other notibles were Zydrunas Ilgauskas, Eric Snow, Drew Gooden and Alan Henderson.

Things just werent looking really high for the Cavs. Dont get me wrong, they were going good, but not great, and a surprise trade took place, which sent PG Eric Snow and sophomore SF Luke Jackson to the Sacto Kings for sharpshooter Peja Stojakovic who had been rumoured to be unhappy since last years free agent period.
In his first game he scored 25, a season best, and Cleveland won the game.
All eyes will be on Cleveland to see what they can conjure up the next month.
