Great job with interviews and great trades but im hoping to see a trade for a bg man(centre preferable). I'll be waiting for the 8 team tournament, should be a good one.

8 Team Tournament, named Collier Memorial

I going to show my starting stats and two key bench guys, and have small commentary on the games we played, I just wanna get into the regular season now :P

The matchups were drawn as following: New York @ New Orleans, Portland @ Charlotte, Seattle @ Orlando and Atlanta @ Toronto

In the first game the Hawks were facing a young squad of Raptors. Tyronn Lue opened up the game blazin' and gave the Hawks a 10-0 lead early, Jalen Rose kept the game close, and after one Lue had 13 and Rose had 16 points respectively. It was close the whole game and there was no separeting the teams, the game went into overtime, and then double OT. But in the second OT it was all Hawks, Lue, with company of Harrington, Pachulia, Marvin Williams, Joe Johnson, Glenn Robinson and Josh Smith was firing on all cylinders, and all of them finished in double figures.

C-Pachulia 23p, 13r, 2a, 1b
PF-Harrington 25p, 15r, 5a, 3s, 2b
SF-Smith 11p, 3r, 1a, 4b
SG-Johnson 19p, 2r, 2a, 2s, 2b
PG-Lue 27p, 1r, 9a, 4s

6-Williams 24p, 7r, 3a
7-Robinson 10p, 4r, 4a

The game finished 140-127

The other games finished like following:
Seattle @ Orlando 98-91
Portland @ Charlotte 106-93
New York @ New Orleans 101-102

Then thw Hawks had to square off against the SuperSonics, while the Hornets take on the Trailblazers

Hornets @ Trailblazers 75-93

The Hawks knows what Ray Allen and the Sonics can do, so they came in with a very humble attitude towards this game, "We just wanna come in and play hard, and see where that takes us" Big Dog Robinson said, who was given a chance to start in this game, when Mr.Haso and Mr.Woodson decided to play both JJ and JS of the bench in this game, "We want to save JJ for when Allen is tired, then he can come in and put alot of pressure on him" said Mike Woodson about benching JJ, as for JS they just wasn't happy with the things he was doing off the ball, " I want Josh to be able to learn more from an experienced man like Glenn, therefore this felt right" Matin said.

And make no mistake about it, although it took another double OT...

The Hawks prevailed! They couldn't quite contain Allen though, but JJ really gave him a hard time when he came in.

C-Harrington 30p, 9r, 3a
PF-Williams 14p, 17r, 3a
SF-Robinson 20p, 3r, 1a, 2s
SG-Stoudamire 8p, 1r, 2a, 3s
PG-Lue 25p, 2r, 10a, 1b, 2s

6-Johnson 17p, 3r, 4a, 7s
7-Smith 13p, 2r, 2b, 1s

And then it was final time :D
Two teams have battled big to get here and they've earned it.
Portland @ Atlanta

Smith and JJ was back in the lineup, but Big Dog didn't leave... Williams did. As unbelievable as it sounds, Josh Smith was one block and one rebound away from a triple-double... And Tyronn Lue had a triple-double! :D The game was really tight all night, and it was finished by two critical freethrows, Tyronn Lue hit them and sealed the WIN for Atlanta! "This was a great accomplishment for us as a team, we know we have alot of talent, but we also know were not that evolved teamwise, and we need more time to grow" An extatic Tyronn said after the game.

C-Harrington 23p, 12r, 1a
PF-Smith 15p, 9r, 1a, 9b, 1s
SF-Robinson 13p, 3r, 2a 1s
SG-Johnson 15p, 1r, 2a
PG-Lue 30p, 1r, 13a, 10s

6-Williams 22p, 2r, 1a
7-Ivey 6p, 1r, 4a, 3s

It was a really highscoring affair (122-119) and the Hawks finally prevail victorious and take home the Collier Memorial...

The MVP was the outstanding Point Guard: Tyronn Lue

Lue had 27 ppg, 45.8 fg%, 50 3pt%, 95 ft%, 2.3 rpg, 0.33 bpg, 4.33 spg, 9.7 apg

Matin answered a few quick questions after the game:

Right man who won?

"Absolutely! Ty really deserved this award, I love what he did for us in this tournament, it bring alot of hope for the future, he and Big Dog really stepped up and played like leaders, and that's just what we need to be succesful"

What happens now?

"We'll go into camp, which starts tomorrow, we're really psyched to get this season on and we have high hopes"

I assigned the training camp time as following:
40% offense, 40% defense and 20% athleticism

Now let's start this dang season
The roster is same as on the Depth Chart I posted before...

You should sign Derrick Coleman. This would be his last season and he is a great frontcourt player in the game.

On the same night as the Hawks would square off in their season opener at Milwaukee,
the trade talks were running high around the league. No names or teams were revealed.

Atlanta @ Milwaukee

1st
This game was a real nailbiter through 4 quarters, in the first, JJ and Ty really played good ball and spurred the Hawks to a 12-8 opening lead, but Micheal Redd and TJ Ford kept the Bucks in it and at the end of one the score was 26-28 Milwaukee lead.

Image
Ty was really hot in the early going, and he finished with a terrific game!

2nd
Big Dog! Bobby! All this quarter was about for the Hawks and the Bucks, Big Dog had all of his game-points in the quarter, 13 for him, and Bobby Simmons had 16 in this quarter. Mo Williams was in for the Bucks for the major of this quarter scoring 10 himself, but this quarter was all about Bobby, JJ tried answering, so at halftime the score was 48-54 and Milwaukee was feelin' it going in to the half shooting 55% from the field.

3rd
The Bucks started to control the flow of the game, executing on offense and seemed to have a hold on the Hawks, Jamaal Magloire showed an example of that taking down 8 rebounds in just that quarter, Josh Smith and Al Harrington were a few brightspots for the Hawks in the 3rd, both ending up with double-doubles.

4th
This quarter was really actionpacked, the Hawks rallied in a big way ridin' on Zaza Pachulia's 12 point 8 rebounds quarter, JJ chipped in for 8 points and 4 boards and Tyronn Lue had 5 dishes in this quarter. On the other hand Redd and Ford stayed hot, scoring 18 and 14 respectively. But the Hawks tied the game with 3.9 left due to a drive from Ty, drawing the defense, then he threw a behind-the-back pass to an open Al Harrington, who drained the three and tied the game at 119. So the game needed an extra period to be decided.

Image
Redd, HUGE in the 4th

OT
All Bucks! That's all you need to say here, Charlie Bell and Michael Redd each scored 6 points in OT, and JAM added 4 points and 6 rebounds. The only brightpoint here for the Hawks was JJ's 6 points. Not much to chear for here for Atlanta. They come up short 127-135.

Box Score (starters and two best bench):
Hawks:
C-Harrington 14p, 11r, 2a, 3s
PF-Smith 11p, 11r, 3a, 1b, 2s
SF-Robinson 13p, 3r, 2a, 1s
SG-Johnson 31p, 7r, 6a, 3s
PG-Lue 27p, 9a, 2b, 3s

6-Pachulia 18p, 12r, 2a, 2b, 2s
7-M.Williams 8p, 6r, 2a

Bucks:
C-Magloire 16p, 25r, 3b, 1s
PF-Bogut 11p, 10r, 3a, 1s
SF-Simmons 28p, 7r, 2a, 5s
SG-Redd 32p, 5r, 1a, 4s
PG-Ford 24p, 3r, 11a, 2b, 1s

6-Mo.Williams 12p, 1r, 1a, 2s
7-Bell 6p, 3r, 2a, 1s

Matin: This was a tough loss, but I saw some things worth working on, and I see a light at the end of the tunnel, I'm not going to say that we'll make the playoffs this season, cause that wouldn't be right of me, but I'll say this; We will work as hard as we possibly can, and we'll see where that leads. Just look at Ty, JJ and most of all Zaza putting in a huge d-d off the bench! But there's alot of improvement needs too, Simmons, Redd and Ford killed us scoring 28, 32 and 24, you can't have that if you expect to win some games. But also, we were slaughtered down low, just look at Jam, if we're going to let a guy get 25 boards of us every night we won't be alright at all, that's something we desperately need improvement in now!

Trade approved, Atlanta spruce frontcourt!

Just hours after the game, Matin Haso released exiting news for the ATL fans. Hawks send Esteban Batista and John Edwards
Image Image

For blazin' young rookie HAKIM WARRICK!
Image

Matin: Were really exited to be able to bring in such a talented young big-man to the team, I have not seen more athleticism in another big-guy since Amare or Shawn Kemp!

Image

And in a matter of minutes the GM Mr.Haso chocked the reporters by bringing out a new signing filling the roster at 15... signed to a two year 7 million dollar deal, Derrick Coleman joined the conference!

Image

Matin: This is what we wanted! To add a very talented veteran Center/Forward, and Derrick is an incredibly hard worker on the court and we just know we will benefit from his services!

Reporter: Will Derrick be starting?

Matin: That's not information that I want to release at this point! But I'm very happy to see him in this organisation, and we can accomplish great things here!

Matin: Some quick questions will be allowed to either Hakim or Derrick

Reporter: Hakim, you barely got settled back in Memphis and now all of a sudden you down here in Atlanta, what do you think about this trade?

Hakim: Well, of course it was an adjustment and a little bit of a chock to have to pack up and go down here. But the more I thought about it the more I liked it, I mean this team has great potential, with great young guys, but a lack of capable bigmen, so I think the opportunity to play big minutes is here in Atlanta, not in Memphis!

Reporter: And a quick question to you Derrick, what made you come back into the basketball scene and choose Atlanta to do so?

Derrick: I don't think I was ever really out, sure last year was a little shaky, but that's the sort of thing that can happen, I was out with injuries and all, and then I just couldn't quite cut it, but I'm looking forward to the opportunity to get back in the game for real and be competitive here in Atlanta! And of course the fact that I have a very good friend here in Glenn Robinson made the adjustment so much easier. I feel positive that we will accomplish good things together.

Matin: Thank you all for coming out this evening, and we will hold another conference post to the Orlando game, with Derrick, Hakim, Tyronn and Joe. That's all for now!

cool, now you just need a bit more help in the frontcourt. I will give you 2 tips. If you move josh smith to pf you will be able to take advatange of his blocking skills and also to start Williams. Second, try to see Olowakandi's value. Maybe he could be easier to get than what you think and you could send something in the lines of Delk and/or Lue. Also, look at some free agents like Lynch or Moiso.

Good tips mate, I already tried the Smith thing, worked out pretty good, but then I don't get to start Harrington, and that's where I don't like it, tried him at C with Smith at PF, and it was fine, but now I have a ligitimate Center... so we'll see what happens there...

As for the other thing, I'm looking into different trade possibilities, trying to deal Donta Smith or Tony Delk, I could even go as far as Childress...
