A very close one, but you know what, Hornets had played better this time, Magloire is scoring and Paul and Smith also played big. Lets see if you can make it 1-3 in your next game.

Key Match-Up

J.R. Smith vs. Steve Francis

Which highflying player is going to fly the highest tonight?

1st Quarter

The Hornets had another poor start as Dwight Howard was a big presence on the defensive end. The Hornets decided to change their game to the outside and the Hornets got their first points from a CP3 jump shot. Both teams were struggling on the offensive end with the Magic having a slight edge over their opponents. Chris Paul caught fire as he nailed a 3 pointer to give the Hornets a 11-10 lead. Grant Hill hit a tough shot and the and one to get the lead back for the Magic and a sub was called which saw Beno Udrih see his first minutes for the Hornets. The Hornets made 2 turnovers in a row but they managed to keep themselves in the game with a nice dunk from Magloire. Jamal Magloire made a buzzer beating adjusted shot but missed the and one as the quarter finished with both teams tied at 21 a piece.

2nd Quarter

The Hornets started by taking the lead then they began making mistakes and the Magic took the lead back. Dwight Howard was dominating on the defensive end but the Hornets still managed to keep themselves in the game. The lead began to swap regularly as neither team could go on a run. Grant Hill singlehandedly gave his team a 4 point advantage as the Hornets were beginning to make mistakes again. Joey Graham went to dunk the ball and knocked over Dwight Howard and was called for the charge, Byronn Scott was not happy about this call at all. Chris Paul hit a lay-up with 1.7 seconds left as the Magic finished the quarter ahead 49-47.

Key Players at the Half

Dwight Howard and Chris Paul

3rd Quarter

The Hornets managed to tie the points but Chris Paul got his 4th personal and the Magic started to go on a small run. A Beno Udrih 3 pointer kept the team in the game as the Hornets kept trying to make a comeback but just couldn't due to the high pressure defence from the Magic. Macijauskas lobbed it to Magloire and he made the alley-oop shot to tie the game at 61 a piece. The Magic got out to a 6 point lead but the Hornets cut it down to 2 points. The Magic got out to a 7 point lead as the Hornets were playing exceptionally lazy defence, allowing too many easy shots. J.R. Smith made a dunk with 0.8 seconds left as the Magic finished the quarter ahead 79-75.

4th Quarter

The Magic extended their lead slightly but then the Hornets went on a run and the home crowd was going crazy but the Magic got their lead back to 7. The Hornets went on another run led by Bostjan Nachbar and his nice mid range shooting. The Hornets got within 1 point of the Magic and the Magic called a timeout. The Magic made a 5 point lead and the Hornets made some critical mistakes with 3 minutes to go. Macijauskas hit a 3 pointer to reduce the deficit to 2 points with 1:53 to go. Grant Hill hit a lay-up then PJ Brown got fouled, made the shot and the and one to reduce the lead to 101-100 with 1:20 left in the game. The Magic scored 4 points in a row and Macijauskas missed the shot and then the Hornets called a timeout with 38.6 seconds left. Cato hit a lay-up which was the end of the game for the Hornets as the Magic took this game 107-101.

Fucktacular, Jugs.

by the way, what do YOU guys thing about this dynasty... what's wrong with it... do you think it's the same old boring long recap or do you want some exciting features... im not good at photoshop plus im lazy so i cant bring you any exciting (and imo useless things that gets people's attentions :? ) new features.... but i'm having a subconscious feeling that nobody cares about my dynasty.... i'm having second thoughts.... if you guys would like me to just sim and give you some sim recaps and play less games.. just let me know... hm...

Mon Oct 31, 2005 12:50 am

Yea man, I like this dynasty, I don't know why you don't like it, maybe it's because you are losing games? It's okay, just keep up the good recaps (Y).

wankster wrote:But wouldnt it just be better to take time and play the games ainstead of simming them?

No.

Simming makes the season go faster + i dont have 24 hours of free time per day....

Mon Oct 31, 2005 7:23 pm

Yeah nice work Jugs!!!

EDIT: Sign Ron Mercer already!!!

Mon Oct 31, 2005 11:15 pm

yea man, but simming and recaping is boring as hell. i made a sim, started to do a sim recap.. and was like.. WTF? no screens and nothing! It might actually take me like a whole real nba season to one of mine nba seasons, but if its good and gives people what they want then so be it.

or at least do a intervention game in the 2nd half, that makes it easier too.

plus, no need to change anything, its good the way it is, why fuck with it?

Tue Nov 01, 2005 12:37 am

Yay for Jugs!! 2 Wins!! lol, now you just gotta prove you can win when you actually play the game :P

@ your previous comment, I think you should leave your dynasty as it is, its awesome, just make sure it has regular updates and it will be a great dynasty thread mainstay (Y)

Tue Nov 01, 2005 1:12 am

Good, Jugs! 2 wins! Keep it up. Try playing your next game, to see if yuo can earn a win.

Tue Nov 01, 2005 10:22 am

Thanks guys for your comments... yeah i'm playing Phillie next so i'll make sure i'll beat them just for you nbalive7777777777777777777777777777

Mon Nov 07, 2005 1:27 pm

Guys, I havent updated this dynasty for ages.... well tonight i have a semi-free night.. but I have to finish some motherfucking homework.... well um, yeah i'll finish that then i'll play the game against phillie, sim the rest of the month and give you a recap of the month... only to get things moving along a bit quicker (Y)

Other than that, this dynasty is NOT dead and I had a great time at the basketball tournament.... the best was when I put this gel that gets rid of sores, i put that on our door handle and some guy tried to open the door and we heard him scream "Oh yuck!" and we roffled...

Oh and we lost all 4 of our games... the first one against some bogans by a point, in the 2nd one i scored the best shot of my lifetime, I went up for a lay-up, did a 180 and bucketed the ball over my head and it went up and swish into the basket, then in the 2nd half, i got hit in the stomach and i ran off the court and threw up my KFC (N) In the third game I got a tech foul because i yelled at the umpire because i got called for a charge when the guy stepped into me and i knocked him over.... the 4th game, the exact some charge was called and i didnt go off my nut but anyways, yeah it was a great weekend

I had more fun on that weekend then playing Live 06, fuck live 06 but I love giving youse my dynasty so yeah, expect update in about 7 hours lol

Philadelphia host the Hornets

Image

The Hornets travel to Philadelphia to verse the 76ers, the Hornets are on a 2 game winning streak after losing their first 7 games of the season.

Starting Line-Ups

Image

Key Match-Up

PJ Brown vs. Chris Webber

Which of these oldies will know what to do?

1st Quarter

Both teams started well but the 76ers began to make a run, going out to an 10-4 lead early in the game. The Hornets began playing bad defence which resulted in a double-digit deficit. Some more horrible defensive and offensive lapses caused Scott to take a timeout. The Sixers finished the quarter ahead 32-22.

2nd Quarter

The Sixers still had control of the game but Chris Paul and Chris Anderson began to lift up their game. The Hornets did go on a nice run but somehow got ruined by the Sixers when AI came back on. The Hornets did manage to make another comeback to reduce the deficit to 3 points. The Hornets slumped for half a minute which gave the Sixers a 7 point lead and the momentum was with the Sixers but the Hornets managed to hold on. The Hornets put the lead back down to 3 then a bad foul by CP3 gave AI2 a 3 point play which put the lead back to 8 points. Smith made a dunk then AI made a clutch jumpshot as the Sixers finished the half ahead 56-48.

Key Players at the Half

Chris Paul and Allen Iverson

3rd Quarter

Both teams started strong as Allen Iverson just could not be stopped. The Hornets began to make an awesome comeback led by Ben Udrih to reduce the deficit to 4 points. The deficit was 4 points for quite a while as both teams were exchanging points then AI hit an adjust shot while being bumped mid-air and the and one to completely wow-out the stadium but Birdman answered back with a nice inside dunk. The Sixers began to rush shots and Chris Anderson became the go to man as the deficit was cut down to 1 point. The Sixers suddenly got out to a 6 points lead so Scott called for a timeout. The Sixers ended the quarter ahead 86-79.

4th Quarter

The Hornets came out firing, reducing the deficit to 2 points but Jamal Magloire received his 5th personal which put him on the bench and gave 2 points off free throws. CP3 dished out his 5th assist of the night to Brandon Bass who layed it in to even the scores at 88 a piece. Dalembert took the lead for his team and CP3 received his 5th personal so he was in foul trouble. The momentum swung towards the Sixers but they failed to capitalize but they did extend their lead to 6 points. Korver hit a 3 pointer to give the Sixers an 11 point lead as Scott called a timeout. The Sixers got out to an 18 point lead and the game was over for the Hornets. The Sixers won the game 122-105.

Player of the Game

Allen Iverson
AI lifted his team through the 3rd and 4th quarters.

Chris Anderson was great on the defensive end
AI2 was great as well, even in foul trouble
J.R. Smith dunks on Louis Williams
Joey Graham was quite after his 2 breakout games
AI gets raped and makes the basket
J.R. Smith dunks on Dalembert
Steven Hunter with the putback
Joey Graham was quite disappointing tonight but he did score 8 points
AI2 dunks on PJ Brown
Magloire's probably only highlight, a block on Korver
Chris Anderson was also excellent on the offensive end
CP3 was excellent as he beat AI and DeClerq to get the bucket

GM Igor Skrnjug was dissappointed with the loss and the performance of Jamal Magloire but he was happy with the performances of PJ Brown, Chris Paul, Brandon Bass, Chris Anderson and Beno Udrih. Expect a trade involving Snyder and Magloire.

22/11/2005

J.R. Smith, Jamal Magloire, Corey Maggette involved in trade + Sprewell signing

GM Igor Skrnjug was simply fed up with the losses and Magloire's 1 point performance last night so he rang LALAland and they struck a deal which sends Jamal Magloire, J.R. Smith and Kirk Snyder to the Clippers for Corey Maggette, James Singleton and Yaroslav Korolev. Also Tierre Brown was released by the Hornets and they signed Latrell Sprewell to a 5.90Mil, one year deal. The Hornets play a game against the Timberwolves tomorow which will see Sprewell and Maggette playing for their new teams.

Dang, Jugs.

another loss jugs.. just like my dynasty went 2-11 early in the season but now i got 9-14

Mon Nov 07, 2005 11:37 pm

damn man, it really sucks.u are getting owned... but very realistically

Mon Nov 07, 2005 11:52 pm

I don't like the fact that you traded J.R. Smith, but I guess Corey Maggette is better anyway, and Korolev has good potential to be another Kirilenko.

Tue Nov 08, 2005 1:21 am

My Hornets dynasty is a bit different... I traded Speedy Claxton to the Lakers for Kwamie Brown!!! I finished the first season (I only play 4th quarter, unless it's a blowout) 19-63. After season 1, PJ and Lynch retire. With my cap room, I signed Tayshawn Prince to a 6 yr contract, and drafted a 72 PF rookie with 133t rebounding and Inside scoring. I am still 8 Mil under the cap.

I have NO Problems rebounding in my new season. My team crashes glass like the 86 Celts! I think I will make the playoffs this year.

My second season I am 1-0 with the following awesome linup...
C- Miglore 73
PF - Kwamie Brown 76
SF - Tay Prince 85
SG - J Smith 77
PG - Paul 76
Reserves
PF Hunter 72 (Rookie)
PG Dicau 66
SG Majicoucas 61 (3pt shooter)
SG Snyder 68
SF ROOKIE 66 (3pt shooter)
C Chris Anderson 66
PF David West 65
IR
SF Nachbar 64 (3pt shooter)

PS JR Smith can also be outside scorer. I found that this worked better for me than highflyer, as it allows him to finish better on fast breaks.

lol. 1337 rebounding

Damn man, tough loss, good to see you trade, but I like J.R. Smith, I don't think you dhouldve traded him, but lets see what happens now, good to see the Sixers playing good .

Tue Nov 08, 2005 6:37 pm

Yeah guys, I wasn't happy with trading J.R. Smith either... but for some reason i kept CP3 and Joey Graham over him.... so J.R. and Magloire left and Sprewell and Maggette came to me 8-)

Oh well, I like maggette spaghetti and ewtrowbr, um woopty fucking do to you and roflcopter at l33333333333333333333333333333333333333333337 rebounding
