The Hornets decided to change their game to the outside and the Hornets got their first points from a CP3 jump shot. Both teams were struggling on the offensive end with the Magic having a slight edge over their opponents. Chris Paul caught fire as he nailed a 3 pointer to give the Hornets a 11-10 lead. Grant Hill hit a tough shot and the and one to get the lead back for the Magic and a sub was called which saw Beno Udrih see his first minutes for the Hornets.
