Great stuff. I'm glad that Larry hsa got the Knicks so organized that you're at .667.

Seems like Marbury has reborn, his stats don't showany mark of selfishness! Plus a 8-steal game. Nice!

Please refrain from posting words containing 'sex' in my dynasty thread. Thank you!

J/p, thanks from the comments guys, I'm going to play some more games soon and then I'll update this. Next 3-game report I'll try to add something different or else it might get a little boring.

Thanks man, nice to see you on here again even if it's only just one post. I remember your 2005 Lakers dynasty, any chance of a 2006 re-run?

Yeah I was planning to do one, Im just waiting for Andrews roster. But it wont be like last year since I dont have that much spare time anymore. It will be hard to make a good Lakers dynansty that will be interesting to follow for others because of the other LA dynasties :) (there is like 10 of them  ).

awww cmon dude, your lakers dynasty before was great and interesting..... sure you'll make it also this time......
CK, when are you gonna continue this? Guess Larry Brown is having a vacation huh? hehehe.... can't wait....

Yeah, Larry Brown's making a short trip right now, he'll be back soon.
On a more serious note: I got off my lazy ass and actually did something today, I played a game, yay!

Also I'm looking to make some trades, not too happy with the team right now.
My lineup eventually will become (not in a couple of years, but later on in the season):
C: Curry
PF: Frye
SF: Ariza
SG: Q
PG: Steph

On my trade block are Crawford, Taylor and Rose. I'm willing to throw in Nate, Jackie Butler and Matt Barnes to even some trades too. Best for me would be Taylor+Crawford for two good bench players.
I'm not looking to rip off CPU teams, I'd even rather give up too much than that.
Any suggestions?

What are you looking for specifically? Like a power foward or guard or somethin? Also, what's Mo Taylor's overall?

Mon Oct 31, 2005 4:32 am

Just so you're aware, Eddy Curry is 1 dunk ratings point away from being a power player. Train him :P . Are you looking for any specific positions as far as trading goes?

Taylor is a 67.

Thanks I guess, not too fond of the superstar stuff but power player's alright.

I'm not looking for any specific positions, just trying to keep my roster in balance (2 good, healthy, not too old players for each position).

Mon Oct 31, 2005 9:42 pm

dude dont trade Nate!! Train him up to be a Highflyer! :D

great dynasty, especially the photos/gfx work

Tue Nov 01, 2005 12:47 am

Ditto. I think you should trade Maurice Taylor for a solid small forward.

Wed Nov 02, 2005 12:37 pm

hmm....those are 2 biggish contracts you're giving away, so you'd have to take similar contracts back....Mo Taylor only has a year or two left on his deal so he's a wash in the whole scene of things....Nuggets were always after a SG....maybe Crawford and Taylor for Lenard and a cap filler....Lenard will give you that outside threat that you are missing....if you weren't liking Nate as a backup PG then Nuggets have quite a few PG's on their roster....Earl Watson would be a nice backup....but you gotta make salaries work....good luck

Wed Nov 02, 2005 3:19 pm

Damn! Those pics on the first page! You must have a bit of power in your CPU... I want shots like that in my dynasty too...

Three Game Recap

Coach Brown's Week
I'm checking in again after having had 3 games. The teams is looking pretty good and we're stacking up the wins! We're now upto 7-2 over the season, 7 in a row and running! We have to keep it real though, 7-2 won't mean we'll finish 45-13. But I'm proud of my guys and how the re-grouped after the 0-2 start.

NYK vs. LAC - The Clippers are not really known to be the most-winning team of the last couple of years, but every single season they have at least the roster to make the playoffs, yet they still fail every time.
This season they added Cassell and Mobley, so I expected them to give my Knicks are hard time.
They stayed closed throughout the game and displayed some nice team basketball, but we pretty much cruised to the victory and kept out streak alive.

Left: Eddy Curry showing his offensive value to the Clippers.
Middle: Still improving, Frye has already established him as one of the best young big men, along with guys like Amare, Okafor, Dwight Howard and Al Jefferson.
Right: Makes you wonder.. why is Cassell still starting.. how tall is he really.. how short is Nate?

NYK at MIN - Already our second game against the Wolves this year. Having won the first one comfortably, I wasn't really afraid for my team to play them again, even though this was in Minneapolis instead of the Garden.
We trailed at half time, but took over in the second half and ended with a pretty big margin of 16 points. I don't really see the Wolves making the playoffs this year in the tough West, although I respect the job Dwayne Casey is doing. After a very dissappointing last season, he had to motivate the guys that stayed and merge them with the newly-acquired guys into one team.
ImageImageImage
Left: As earlier stated, Frye is one of the best young bigs, he went at KG like a young Amare did.
Middle: Garnett was really the only one of the Wolves that did something in this game, as he scored 23. Jaric had 23 as well, but 8 of those came in garbage time.
Right: "Yeah KG, you just got burned by your boy!"

NYK at LAL - A game I desperately wanted to win was this one. It was against my rival and good friend, Phil Jackson and we also saw two storied franchises dueling.
This was the best game I had seen my team play so far this season, we completely blew away the Lakers. We got off to a fast started, never looked back and a little later we led by more than 20.
Then I obviously played the bench guys and they pretty much continued the play, as we kept the Lakers clearly behind us, not by 20+ though.
Curry had an amazing game, I can say I'm really glad we've traded for him at the start of the season. While I'm known to prefer veterans over young guys, it was truly a challenge to try and teach a young center out of HS how to play (at least in my eyes).
ImageImageImage
Left: Ariza has been a constant factor for New York this season, usually scoring around 10-15 points off the bench.
Middle:Brown still isn't the player you'd expect from a number 1 pick, but he's been improving since joining the Lakers.
Right: Marbury has been displaying excellent defense this season, obviously Larry Brown has to be the biggest reason for this.

[PLAY] Marbury to Q-Rich on the break, this is how you quiet a crowd playing on the road..

Current Record: 7-2

Thank you for reading this Knicks update once again. I'll be back [a little sooner] with the next update, hope you will read it again then. I'm also looking for some trade-input from the fans. You can see what I'm talking about a little bit earlier in the thread.

Yours sincerely,

Just a message now that didn't belong in the update.
I know about the record, it kind of unrealistic. I got too good at the game since it's so similar to 2005.
So now I'm going to tweak my sliders (again) and I'm desperately looking for some nice trades that will downgrade my team, just so I'll have a harder time winning.
Just throw any ideas in here, most likely to be traded are Crawford, Taylor and/or Rose.
