Three Game Recap
Coach Brown's Week
I'm checking in again after having had 3 games. The teams is looking pretty good and we're stacking up the wins! We're now upto 7-2 over the season, 7 in a row and running! We have to keep it real though, 7-2 won't mean we'll finish 45-13. But I'm proud of my guys and how the re-grouped after the 0-2 start.
NYK vs. LAC - The Clippers are not really known to be the most-winning team of the last couple of years, but every single season they have at least the roster to make the playoffs, yet they still fail every time.
This season they added Cassell and Mobley, so I expected them to give my Knicks are hard time.
They stayed closed throughout the game and displayed some nice team basketball, but we pretty much cruised to the victory and kept out streak alive.

Left: Eddy Curry showing his offensive value to the Clippers.
Middle: Still improving, Frye has already established him as one of the best young big men, along with guys like Amare, Okafor, Dwight Howard and Al Jefferson.
Right: Makes you wonder.. why is Cassell still starting.. how tall is he really.. how short is Nate?

NYK at MIN - Already our second game against the Wolves this year. Having won the first one comfortably, I wasn't really afraid for my team to play them again, even though this was in Minneapolis instead of the Garden.
We trailed at half time, but took over in the second half and ended with a pretty big margin of 16 points. I don't really see the Wolves making the playoffs this year in the tough West, although I respect the job Dwayne Casey is doing. After a very dissappointing last season, he had to motivate the guys that stayed and merge them with the newly-acquired guys into one team.

Left: As earlier stated, Frye is one of the best young bigs, he went at KG like a young Amare did.
Middle: Garnett was really the only one of the Wolves that did something in this game, as he scored 23. Jaric had 23 as well, but 8 of those came in garbage time.
Right: "Yeah KG, you just got burned by your boy!"

NYK at LAL - A game I desperately wanted to win was this one. It was against my rival and good friend, Phil Jackson and we also saw two storied franchises dueling.
This was the best game I had seen my team play so far this season, we completely blew away the Lakers. We got off to a fast started, never looked back and a little later we led by more than 20.
Then I obviously played the bench guys and they pretty much continued the play, as we kept the Lakers clearly behind us, not by 20+ though.
Curry had an amazing game, I can say I'm really glad we've traded for him at the start of the season. While I'm known to prefer veterans over young guys, it was truly a challenge to try and teach a young center out of HS how to play (at least in my eyes).

Left: Ariza has been a constant factor for New York this season, usually scoring around 10-15 points off the bench.
Middle:Brown still isn't the player you'd expect from a number 1 pick, but he's been improving since joining the Lakers.
Right: Marbury has been displaying excellent defense this season, obviously Larry Brown has to be the biggest reason for this.

Thank you for reading this Knicks update once again. I'll be back [a little sooner] with the next update, hope you will read it again then. I'm also looking for some trade-input from the fans. You can see what I'm talking about a little bit earlier in the thread.
Yours sincerely,
Larry Brown
