Agreed, interesting talks but I don't think it's a good trade for the Heat.

I got a 500 dollar digital camera,

on topic: Great Dynasty, That Deal is pretty good but the Lorenzo Wright part is bad, you will have 3 centers! Way too many problems with that :?

Yah this is a pretty great dynasty, I really liked that Darius Rice story, I've been following him since highschool, but after college I lost track of him, nice info, keep up the good work.

Good Lord, you're doing a great job, man!

I feel so awful about my weak attempt at a Raptors' dynasty (my first, really). This is a great read, man, keep it up!

MORE TRADE TALKS

October, 9 2005 - The Miami HEAT have been trying to organize a deal in which they will send James Posey and Antoine Walker, for a young Small Forward. Closest one to go through will be, Posey, Walker, and Anderson to Memphis for Warrick, Jones, and Wright.

Today GM Shaun Callahan called up the Golden State WARRIORS. They reached a deal they both liked, BUT it hasnt gone through yet, The trade will send Walker, Posey and Anderson for Michael Pietrius, Mike Dunleavy and Adonial Foyle.

GM Shaun Callahan later told us, hes not sure which deal to do because he likes both trades. He told us he will tell us later this week.

At this very moment, I think you're putting in the best work in any dynasty. Keep it up man, looks like everyone's falling off a bit.

Pietrius is nice, but Danthay Jones could be the next JR Smith.

Pietrius is probably the a better contributor to your dynasty right now though

Thanks Devin, I cant wait till your dynasty is running. I kind of like the Memphis trade. I might do that. I think my starting SF would either be Wright or Jones.

Miami HEAT Trade Walker, Posey, and Anderson

October, 9 2005 - Today the Miami HEAT organization and the Memphis GRIZZLIES organization have agreed on a deal. The trade will send Antoine Walker, James Posey, and Shandon Anderson to Memphis. In exchange, the Miami HEAT will recieve Rookie Hakim Warrick, Dahntay Jones, and Lorenzen Wright.

Image
- Dahntay Jones Started 7 of 52 Games last year for Memphis. Jones averaged 4.5 points per game, and 1.3 rebounds per game, averagin only 11.3 minutes per game. GM Shaun Callahan said this to us:
GM Shaun Callahan wrote:I think Jones is a good player. He needs some work, but if he playes 20 minutes a game, and we develop him, then he can be a good player.

Image
- Hakim Warrick was drafted by the Memphis GRIZZLIES as the 19th overall Pick. Warrick played 4 years for Syracuse. In his 04-05 Year, Warrick played 34 games. He averaged 37.5 minutes per game, 21.4 points per game, and 8.6 rebounds per game. GM Shaun Callahan said
GM Shaun Callahan wrote:I like Warrick alot. I watched him play in college, I think he can be a hell of a player.

Image
- Lorenzen Wright started 77 of 80 games last year for the GRIZZLIES. Wright averaged 28.6 minutes per game, 9.6 points per game and 7.7 rebounds per game. This is what Shaun Callahan had to say about him:
GM Shaun Callahan wrote:I like Lorenzens game, hes a good rebounder. I think he can be a force inside.

Shaun Callahan still doesnt know who will start at the 3 spot. Its up in the ait between, Wright, Jones or Warrick.

WHO SHOULD START AT SMALL FORWARD?????

Big trade Shawn, I can't wait to see what you develop Jones and Warrick into. I don't think you missed much w/o walker, you still have a good team and now you have guys for the future, aside from MR Coverboy of course.

HEAT Aquire Warrick, Jones, and Wright

Trade Transcript

Reporter -Shaun, why did you trade two starters and a good backup for a rookie, a 2 year vet, and you got another Center, why did you do this?

GM Shaun Callahan -Well, if you looked at our roster before, we were absolutley stacked, thats a good thing, but we want to develop Haslem, Wright and get Simien in the mix of things. With 2 small forwards, and one small forward/power forward Wright wouldnt get the time at all. Haslem's time would be cut short aswell. And Simien probally would see only garbage time, we want him to be playing with the pros.

Reporter -Coach Van Gundy, did you like this trade?

Coach Van Gundy - I think Shaun and I are on the same page. We both know what we want. The trade will help us out alot, we also freed up so cap space.

Reporter -Shaun, whos going to start at the three spot?

GM Shaun Callahan -Hmm, its a hard choice. Stan and I havnt really came up with a good solution. I mean Jones has the most NBA Expieriance, I dont think Dorell should start. Warrick might be good but were not sure yet. As of right now, either Jones will start or Warrick will start and whoever isnt starting will come off the bench. And Dorell will be behind Wade

Reporter -Either one of you guys, what was Walkers and Poseys reaction?

GM Shaun Callahan -Well Posey was looking forward to playing with us, but he liked Memphis alot. Walker had the same reaction. We wanted to make sure they were happy. We didnt want to just ship them off whereever.

Reporter -Dahntay, did you like the trade?

Jones -Definatly. I do thank Memphis fans and the organization for their support. But Im very happy to be a Miami Heat. I cant wait until we start.

Reporter -Hakim, what do YOU think of the trade?

Warrick -I loved it, I think its a great trade. Although I didnt get to prove myself in Memphis, I still thank the fans and the organization. But I think Id feel comfident having Dahntay start, but its up to Shaun and Stan.

Reporter -Shaun, do you think Jones can offer somthing to the table?

GM Shaun Callahan -Oh yea definatly, I think Jones can be a JR Smith type of player, remember his dunk in the Katrina Relief Game?
Image

I think he can help alot. Any other questions?

Reporter -Have you decided who to pick from the One-on-One Torunament?

GM Shaun Callahan -yes, me and Stan have decided. We chose Forward Darius Rice, and Guard Gerald Fitch.

Houston Rockets VS Miami Heat

Image

Stuard Scott - Hey everyone this is Stuart Scott and Kenny Smith here at EANews. Were just moments away from the tipoff for the Hurricane Relief Benefit Game between the Miami Heat, and the Houston Rockets. This will be really interesting considering both of these teams are stacked.
Kenny Smith - Yea Stu, this will be a very enteraining game. The arena is shaking right now.
Scott - Number of players have agreed on donations. From the Miami Heat, Jason Williams, Shaquille O'Neal and Dwyane Wade have all agreed for every point they score they will donate $10,000.00. For the Rockets, Tracy McGrady, Yao Ming, and Stromile Swift have agreed to donate $10,000.00 every point they score. Also from Wade, Wade said if he has a double double, or a triple double, he will donate an additional $40,000.00. And if the Heat win, each player will donate $10,000.00. And Derek Anderson said if he scores more than 20 points, he will donate $20,000.00.
Smith -Its really great to see the players making donations. This will be an intense game.
Scott - Lets bring you guys down courtside for the player introductions...

Albert wrote:I agree Steve, this will be a really good matchup. Here we go to the Opening Tip.....GAME GOES ON.....

Game Recap

Both teams started off connecting. The shots were falling for both teams. The HEAT hit their first two shots, missed one then hit seven in a row. The Rockets were hitting threes and deep two's, probally because of Shaq and Haslem. Williams started off the quarter pretty good, dishing the ball to Shaq and Wade. But Every player, was having trouble scoring inside or driving inside because of Yao, and Stro. The Heat were up 28-30 at the end of the quarter. Going into the second, Stan Van Gundy put Wade at the Point, Dorell at the 2, Rice at the 3, Warrick at the 4, and Simien at the 5. They played pretty good. Wright hit his first three shots, the first being a trey, the second being a deep two, and the third drawing the fould and hitting the shot. Rice had a nice mid range shot falling. But McGrady was drilling shots in the second. He kept the Rockets in it. At the end of the half, the score was 51-57 Miami.

In the third we are. Derek Anderson started off pretty good. He hit two straight treys. But Wade kept Miami in the Third with 14 points. At the end of the third the score was 73-77 Miami. Now into the Fourth quarter. The lineup for the Heat was, Dahntay at point, Dorell Wright at 2, Rice at the 3, Warrick at the 4, and Simien at center. No stars in the fourth and they were only up by four points. WHAT is Stan thinking you might ask? But Warrick was rebounding like a mad man. He out hustled Yao and Stro about 5 times and got 2nd chance points. Rice also hit two treys that quarter, Dorell had 5 points, and Warrick had 10 points in that quarter. The Rockets couldnt keep up. Miami beat the Rockets 100-110. Miami had a HUGE advantage with the bench. Miamis Bench outscored Houstons bench, 43-6. The biggest suprise was Warrick with 18 points and 8 rebounds. Jones had a good game aswell with 11 points. This is was Coach Stan Van Gundy told us. "I put the youngsters in because its not a game that counts against us. I really wanted to see what they had in them and I found out. I thought that Warrick put a WOW in me. Rice, I didnt expect to have 5 points, but he had 10. So I think this trade definalty helped us."

Nice recap of the Rockets game and a big trade. You're loaded at C, you should try Wright at PF. (Y)
