- Thanks a lot man! Its a great encouragement to know my dynasty is sorta eye catching to ya! Yep, McKie does play the point, I just don't know how to use him except take open shots cause Kobe and Lamar bring the ball up for me... Arron is just a space filler on the floor... and I will change his jersey number eventually. Thanks for the heads up!

Turnovers Help Rockets Decimate LA
Kobe’s 14, Odom’s 10 turnovers led to another trouncing

15 Oct, Los Angeles – The Lakers’ nightmare of a preseason just keeps getting deeper and deeper as they lost another game to a Western Conference team and another game where the opponent scores over 120 points.

“Third straight?” Phil Jackson stared at the reporters amassed in the team’s change room, “This is (expletive) ridiculous. The team plays with no passion, no hustle. This is a disgrace to be back in here.”

Kobe Bryant had a magical night, if you minus the amount of turnovers. The same went for Lamar Odom. And as usual, the rest of the team failed to play well at all. The only thing that was different in this game was Kwame Brown who played surprisingly well as he tallied up 16 points and 9 rebounds.

“Kwame played really well tonight,” Brian Shaw stated, “It’s a shame Yao Ming and Tracy McGrady blew us away.” Bryant led all scorers with 44 points that included 7 treys. Odom added 16 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists.

Former NBA scoring champion Tracy McGrady scored 34 points on a scorching 16 for 26 shooting and also grabbed 11 boards to lead Houston. Yao Ming was perfect with a dominating 27 and 18 as he did everything from crashing the boards and scoring from all over the court. Juwan Howard added 10 and 10 in 15 minutes from off the pine.

“Yao was money for us all night long,” Coach Van Gundy said, “People doubt his ability to ball but he is one great guy and he’s still young. What I say is to let him play his way. Yao doesn’t need to play like Shaq to win.”

The ball game started with a shootout between Bryant and McGrady. The two scored 17 and 19 respectively in the first period. The novelty wore off for McGrady who decided to start playing a team game while Bryant continued to stack up the points. Bryant had the hot hand in the first half, finishing with 32 first half points but McGrady kept his team in the lead by playing more conservatively.

Although the game was kept close, the Lakers fell behind I nthe third period. The Rockets spurt off in front of the home team with a 8-0 run at the end of the third period and the home side conceded another 13-2 run at the start of the final quarter.

The home side never gave up as Odom and Bryant came back on to get the Lakers within 14 points of the visitors with 7:01 left but Houston preserved its lead by playing with more composure than the more inexperienced Lakers.
Andrew Bynum played his best game of the preseason as he scored 6 points and grabbed 2 boards in garbage time.

Notes

The Lakers play Seattle in three nights… Rumour has it that Atlanta Hawks’ Tyronn Lue is a target of GM William Sit… Yao Ming led the Chinese National Team to the Asian Championship two months ago… The Lakers’ odds to win the NBA championship dropped from $24 to $120 overnight… Preseason Record: 0-3 (0-2, 0-1)…

Another loss... man, you have a long season ahead of ya... Kobe still hogging it.. You need to get a pure PG or play Bryant at the Point and George or Jumaine at the Shooting Guard position.. I would most certainly try that..
Nice screens and recaps nonetheless.. .you'll get a win eventually

Oh and the song quote in your signatute "Spitting my soul thru the wire" that is my favourite Kanye West Song

- I need to adjust the sliders, there are way too many interceptions in the game and I'm trying to get the right game speed or there are too many shot attempts and it was frustrating.. couldn't rebound off of Yao... :( The point guard is rarely used anyways so i'm not worrying bout it right now. It's all bout Odom and Kobe sharing the ball and bringing the ball up.

- Yeah man. As I said, the sliders need to be toned down and I need to get used to Live 06!

- Lue aint a pure point but he's quick, energy player with a bit of a shot off the bench who hustles. (Y) What Jax wants in real life!

It's tough to lose that many games and not have an answer. At least it's only prea-season, I'm sure the Lakers can turn things around. Good luck Sit, hopefully you steer the team into the right direction by the time the regular season gets underway. Try to get a PG as well, Lue's not so bad.

Sat Sep 24, 2005 11:42 am

Maybe you can face an easy team soon.

Anyway PG is still a problem. Since McKie is sucking,Maybe start Sasha?

Sat Sep 24, 2005 11:46 am

wow another lose, and rox won, dunno weither to be happy or dissappointed. maybe both.

Sat Sep 24, 2005 12:15 pm

damn it man tough loss, at least you got the game, i have to wiat 3 damn days!!! (N)

Sat Sep 24, 2005 3:13 pm

Ouch tough loss. Trouble in paradise maybe? I like, I like. Tyronn is an ok bacup, no starter. Go for someone thats underrated. Carlos Arroyo maybe? Underrated, luck year.. all the same thing.. 8-)

- Well, I wouldn't say McKie is sucking... he's just not getting opportunities cause he doesn't fit in. I doubt Sasha's production would up with more PT... and the next teams I play will be Seattle (Twice), New Jersey and the Bobcats.
