Nah dude the Stag's nite mag is a good idea, ill just have to find some way to implement it.The X wrote:if I had your roster, I would start Bobby Simmons and move Erick Strickland to the bench....Strickland to me, is more of an impact player off the bench....whereas Simmons, he kinda needs to be out there and get his minutes and touches to be successful....I'd start Simmons at SF and move Mason to SG or move Simmons to SG if you prefer....or trade Simmons....just my opinion though
Yeah ive been tossing round a few ideas like that, I guess if I as to start Simmons it would mean Green would get time at te 3 as well. I'm not sure though, I was thinking I might deal Simmons later on in the future for picks or something, but we will see. Will Sit wrote:Nice work man... dude
Thanks man, good to see you like it.Will Sit wrote:dude, why is Bogut on the bench! lol
The X wrote:^^^ yeah, I was wondering how Gasol ended up back in Atlanta (the team that originally drafted him and dealt for Reef)....
suggestion....dbf-edit Gasol's position to PF/C, Harrington's to SF/PF, and move Josh Smith to bench and Bogut to starting C spot hopefully Hawks will get the hint and deal Harrington or something....but I wouldn't do that until later in season, as Bogut must prove himself....Bogut is a PF/C so he should get some minutes either way at both spots....
Yeah I was quite bothered by that, but the CPu is trying to Start its best line-up, something went wrong when Boguts ratigns got recalculated after training camp as hes only 62 overall now, I'll probably raise that a bit.
Also I havent gone through and done all the team lineups etc, I usually do that at the start of the season just to tidy things up (Like Cardianl starting in memphis!!)

How did I not notice this dynasty earlier? Damn that's stupid of me.
Good job on getting Green, hopefully he and D-Mase (One of my favourite players, so you better make him into a star

) can team up to make the Bucks an exciting team to watch. Sad to see a fellow leftie like Michael Redd go, but I guess Green can easily take his place. Good luck on the rest of the season, and although I hate the Bucks (mainly because of their uniforms), you definitely make 'em look good.
Sat Jun 11, 2005 10:32 am
flash, many people think of Gerald Green as a SF and not a SG....he's a swingman so he can easily cover each of those roles....start Simmons or deal him as I think he's probably a little wasted playing 10-15 minutes off the bench....you got a nice lineup though
Sat Jun 11, 2005 10:47 am
Nice start and a good format... keep it up Mark...
Ha, looks like our patch sometimes has the adverse effect of rookie ratings moving downwards after the training camp... I've experienced it myself in my tests...
Sat Jun 11, 2005 11:05 am
dweaver, that's the randomness of the draft and potential ratings....you will notice that potential ratings change after the draft as well....dbf-edit afterwards for accuracy

Oh this thread has been pretty quite until the past few days, so you probably didnt miss it. Yeah it was sad to see Redd go but I found it too easy to play with him, plus it mixes things up a little. You dont have to worry about D-Mase not being a star he is well on the way.D-Wolverine 99027 wrote:Nice start and a good format... keep it up Mark...

Thanks dude, Yeah I like that its a little unpredictable, cos it means there is a bit of risk involved when putting your dynasty on the hopes of a pick turning out good. The X wrote:flash, many people think of Gerald Green as a SF and not a SG....he's a swingman so he can easily cover each of those roles....start Simmons or deal him as I think he's probably a little wasted playing 10-15 minutes off the bench....you got a nice lineup though
Yeah I will probably take your advice, altho if I was to start Green, Simmons would deffinately be the 6th man.

Recaps for first week of November
November 3rd: CHICAGO 93 @ MILWAUKEE 106
This game was closely fought, with the first two quarters being split between both teams.
But it was the deciding 3rd quarter where the Bucks limited the Bulls to 10 points, while scoring 33 of their own, that won the game.
The Bulls did have a comeback in the 4th but it wasnt nearly enough to make up for the huge deficit created in the 3rd.
D-Mase once again had a great game leading the Bucks from the Wing, notching up another 20+ point game on 50% shooting.
Gerald Green once again found himself taking tough shots again, and while he shot just under 50%.
He had a great 4th quarter going 3/3 from the field and making some big time steals.
"The defense out there is tough and in coach Porters plays it ends up either of the wigs sometimes taking tough shots,
so i'm gonna have to learn to master them and bring my A game each time."
November 4th: MILWAUKEE 104 @ WASHINGTON 105
Desmond Mason won this game for the Bucks, but then with one stupid mistake he lost it for them.
The frst quarter of this game was tightly fought with the Bucks managing to stay in the game by getting to the FT line often,
and the Wizards relying on their explosive guard combo to put the ball in the net.
The Bucks front court was dissapointing with Smith and Reef either in foul trouble or making stupid turnovers.
The quarter time break did nothing to stop the Wizards momentum as Hughes and Arenas terrorised the Bucks backcourt draing jumpers or slashing to the hoop.
Reef finally found some composure and dropped 14 points to help the bucks stay in the game.
Hughes wrecked havoc on the Bucks defense
The Bucks launched a comeback that lasted throughout the 3rd and 4th quarters to get back in front,
and then with a minute remaining and only up by 3, thats where Mason's story began......
Maing a crucial steal at half court Mason calmly passed to Felton and then set up on the wing at the 3pt line,
recieving the ball back from Felton he drained the wide open 3 (The Bucks only 3 for the game).
A few possesions later he pulled down a big offensive board, passing the ball to Reef who scored easily to make the score 104-101 to the Bucks.
The Wizards scored on the next possesion but they had to use up the game clock leaving only 14secs left in the game,
all the Bucks would have had to do is try to run out the clock, but Mason threw the inbound pass at Sean Bank's face,
which Banks recovered and slammed home to take a 1 point lead.
The Bucks could not get their last shot to drop.
"I dont know how that happened, I was sure that Banks was Green comming back to give me another passing option"
Said Mason when asked about the turnover.
"Desmond will be hurting, but we cant pin the loss on him, there were so many other factors that lost us the game like our long range shooting (1-12)"
Replied Porter when Interviewed after the game.
Mason's big mistake.
Record at end of week: 3-1

Aww, let Mason do 2000 pushups!!
Nice dynasty and screenshots..i like the size

Mason should do 400 suicides as well
*coughs* Coach Carter *coughs*

PLEASE STOP BRINGING GREEN OFF THE BENCH!
Cmon, he is the 3rd pick if I'm not mistaken and he needs to start. He is definitely better than Strickland IMO and I know he can play the SG position. I would hate to see him as a 6th man rather than a starter. Good update

Well I spose if it means that much to you
He will start dont worry, im just letting him used to the game, he plays pretty much as many minutes as most of the starters. Eric aint starting nemore its Simmons who starts at SG.

Agree, he's much better than Erick... but hey, is your team. If you like Strickland continue with him
What a D-Mase error, that cost him the game
Anyway, get him into a superstar status!

I'm not actually starting Eric anymore, Simmons is the starting 2 guard.
But i'm gonna look to get Green starting, I wanna try and get him and Felton working together cos there hasnt been a game when both have played really well.
Sun Jun 12, 2005 1:28 pm
Yeah... I agree man! You should start Green at the 2 guard!
Sun Jun 12, 2005 11:48 pm
Green as 6th man until Simmons fails, Green explodes or both....
as for Stag's Night....rather than the obvious conotation, it could be March Madness type event mag....

Recaps for the second week of November
November 6th: ORLANDO 98 @ MILWAUKEE 92
The Bucks played a terrible 2nd quarter that they never would make up for.
The game looked to be a close one with the Magic leading by a small margin at theend of the first.
However the Bucks lost all composure in the second quarter being outsocred by 12.
Although the Bucks would out score the Magic 50-42 in the second half,
it would not be enough to come back from the 14 point deficit at the end of the first half.
While Raymond Felton did a great job on Francis and the Fowards contained Howard,
Grant Hill was simply unstoppable with 31 points on 14-20 shooting.
D-Mase played a good game with 16 points and 14 boards on 50% shooting.
Mason has been the driving force behind any Buck's success so far this season
November 10th: MILWAUKEE 83 @ DALLAS 87
Once again the Bucks played a sub par first half then had to rely on a strong secodn half to try and get back in the game.
This time the Bucks found themselves down by 14 at the half,
However this time the third quarter comeback was all they needed to tie it up again.
Heading into the final quarter it looekd like the Bucks had finally mastered the art of the comeback.
However Finley crushed all those thoughts scoring 15 of his game high 31 points in the final quarter.
The Mavs out scored the Buck 22-18 in the final quarter to win the game by 4.
Gerald Green continued his strong rookie campaign with 11 points, 5 boards and 5 assists in a strong performance off the bench.
D-Mase finally had a poor shooting performance but still managed 16 points.
Dirk(18p) and Dampier(12p 14rebs) were the only Mavs other than Finley to score in double figures.
Reef won the battle of the star fowards.
November 11th: INDIANA 107 @ MILWAUKEE 104
Indiana may have found thier replacement clutch shooter.
Fred Jones' only field goal of the game was the game winning halfcourt buzzer beater.
The Bucks once again started slow suffering a 11 point first quarter deficit.
This time, instead of waiting till the second half, the Bucks fought back in the second,
managing to close the 11 point gap to tie it all up 55 all at the half.
The third was very close fought until the last 2 minutes where the Bucks went cold,
allowing the Pacers to take a 5 point lead into the fourth quarter.
The fourth was extremely close with some big plays being made by each team.
The Bucks fought well and with a well earned 3 pointer from Eric Strickland,
tied the game up at 104 all with 4 seconds left.
The game looked sure to go to overtime, however off the inbound pass,
Fred Jones slowly dribbled over half court and with 1 second left jumped up and shot from halfcourt.
The ball rolled round the rim then fell in, the Bucks fans were stunned to silence.
The Bucks called a timeout, and off the inbound Strickland took a leaning 3pt from 5 feet behind the line.
The shot was off.
Gerald Green had a great performance in his well earned first start,
notching up 26 points on 12-18 shooting to go with 5 boards and 6 assists.
Reef added 28 points on 13-24 shooting, he troubled O'Neal the whole game.
Artest "paced" Indiana with a strong shooting display, knocking down 33 points,
on 13-22 shooting, although he commited an ugly 7 turnovers.
The Bucks now go into the third week of November on a 4 game losing streak,
one game more than their 3 game winning streak to start the season.
Reef has showen an amazing improvement in his game this season,
to the point where the big name fowards are having trouble with him.
Record at end of week: 3-4

Well Green earned his first start, and he diffinately didnt dissapoint, while Simmons had a off game form the bench, we will have to see how it goes, but Simmons may be looking at aiming for a 6th man of the year award.
I have a good idea for when to implement "Stag Night"

Nice losing streak. Way to go
Mon Jun 13, 2005 8:44 am
Well, the negatives is that you didn't win a single game
The positive is that Green did very well in his first start so maybe thats a sign of good things to come. Nice updates
Can't wait for the next recaps to see if Green continued playing well in the starting lineup

Yeah even though they were losses, I enjoyed the games quite a alot. I never wanted to go through this season easy.
Next recaps shouldnt be far away, I just have to play the games first!!
Usually I get behind in my recaps but this time i'm wanting to do them, but dont have anything to recap

Recaps for the third week of November
November 14th: NEW YORK 94 @ MILWAUKEE 89
Malik Rose has stepped into his starting role nicely, leading the Knicks to their second win,
and handing the Bucks their 5th loss in a row.
The Bucks actually started the game solidly only down 1 after the first,
and only 3 at the half.
They even had a great 3rd quarter to tie it all up at 73, but Alan Houstons Heroics
and Rose's good rebounding gave the Knicks the win.
Bobby Simmons was the only player to really contribute for the Bucks
scoring 17 on 6/9 shooting to go with 8 boards 3 assists and 2 steals.
Crawford was strong for the knicks with 26 points and 3 steals on 3/5 from beyond the arc.
Rose led from the front with 13 points and 12 rebounds.
Rose played well, shooting 50% from the field and 7/7 from the FT line
November 17th: WASHINGTON 88 @ MILWAUKEE 86
Once again the Bucks choaked in the 4th, extending the streak to 6 loses.
In the first match-up between these two teams it was Washington who led at the half,
however this time the Bucks played a great first half and led by 14 at the break.
The Wizards, led by Hughes hot hand, fought back in the third to cut the lead to 5.
The Wizards continued their run in the 4th, putting up a quick 5 points to tie the game.
The Bucks once again choaked, plaing terrible D and never looking like they wanted to win.
Larry Hughes led the Wizards with 25 points, shooting 3/4 from 3pt land.
None of the Bucks played that well, but Reef put up 19 points and 15 boards.
Hughes was once again the X factor for Washington.
November 19th: PHILADELPHIA 105 @ MILWAUKEE 123
34 Assists = 57% FG = 123 points = Win
The Bucks finally snapped their losing streak, thanks to some great team play.
The game was set to be a fast paced affair with both teams shooting well in the first.
The Bucks crumbled in the second, unable to stop AI who was his explosive self.
The third however saw the Bucks play their most mature basketball this season.
Shooting an amazing 60% and commiting only one turnover,
couple this with a 16 point and 2 steal quarter from Green,
and you get a 38 point quarter and a 10 point deficit turned into a 7 point lead.
In the fourth the Bucks never looked back, out scoring the 76ers 33-22,
while playing their best basketball of the season.
Green was the main man tonight (with a lot of help from team mates)
he scored 31 points on 15-24 shooting to go with 7 boards, 5 assists and 2 steals.
D-Mase regained his from with 21 points, 5 boards and 6 assists on 50% shooting.
Iverson led the 76ers with 26 points and 4 steals on 50% shooting and 3/4 fromt he arc.
Greens first 30 point game won praise from some of the big stars in the league,
Kobe (who had a 32 point game himself) was quoted saying, "I knew the kid was good,
he fits the current NBA wingman perfectly, he will be an All Star soon"
When asked if he was happy with the result, coach Porter replied;
"Yes I was but the next few practices we are gonna shoot, shoot and shoot some more.
That was been our weakness, especially Free Throws"
Green was unstoppable from almost anywhere.
Record at end of week: 4-6
