But I think Jalen is better than Hill, so you should problably wait till towards the trade deadline to make the deal.
I'll think about this. Thanks.
Nice win over the Hawks, in my dynasty they were like 0-10 but the two times I've already played them I had some problems shaking them off (well to be honest they lead by 20 in the 3rd). So I gotta give you props on the blowout.
And you're finally above .500 so you gotta keep this up. Trading Jalen Rose in real-life fro the kind of player you described would very the best thing for the Raptors to do, but in this game he's pretty good and it never shows a player's personality or impact on the team, so I'd say keep him.
Meh, I was playing half asleep man, I put no effort into that game.
Thanks for the support guys, I appreciate it that some people actually comment on this dynasty, but I'm so jealous that Micchy_boy, Mafia and the other popular dynasties get the attention.

Boston Celtics (8-3) vs Toronto Raptors (4-3) Preview
A battle of Atlantic division rivals will take place in the Air Canada Center as the Boston Celtics take on the red hot Toronto Raptors. The Raptors are on a 3 game winning streak and are coming off an impressive blowout win against Atlanta yesterday. Jalen Rose scored 9 of his 19 points in the final quarter to finally bury the Hawks, while new comers Tony Battie and DeShawn Stevenson also had nice games, with Battie picking up 11 rebounds and 4 points and Stevenson picking up 12 points in 13 minutes.
The Boston Celtics started off the season hot as they reeled off 5 straight victories, but now have cooled off a little bit with 3 more wins and 3 more losses. The Celtics are currently one of the top 5 teams in the east, and first place in the Atlantic division; the same division as the Raptors. The Raps will be hoping to try and bring the Celtics one step lower in the standings, but Antione Walker has re-emerged as the man in Boston, leading the team in points (22.2) and rebounds (8.4). All-Star Paul Pierce has seen his numbers dip, but is still going strong with 20.4 points per game and 7.3 rebounds per game, while teaming up with Walker to create a formidable one-two punch in the east. The Celtics are 5-1 against teams in their conference.
"Walker and Pierce are always a main conern on this team," said Tony Battie, a former Celtic who played with both Walker and Pierce. "They are both very versatile and they both can hurt your team in many different ways."

The Chris Bosh - Jalen Rose one-two punch of Toronto will have to match-up against the all-star stalwarts of Antione Walker and Paul Pierce. Chris Bosh played against the very physical Al Harrington yesterday, so that should tire the wiry-framed Bosh to a certain extent. Jalen Rose will play a lot of point and might not be matched-up against Paul Pierce too often, but when they do, expect some offensive sparks to fly.

your previews for your games are real good. Looks like Boston is always real good in dynasties for some reason.

Thanks, I thought no one actually really cared about my previews and I was about to stop doing them....

I think its just that my graphics card is a little iffy. My computer struggles to run Live at times and sometimes sontaneously crashes (2 times in a row I've played Boston and it crashed in the fourth quarter). I always have to sey my graphics to medium or low.

Boston Pummels Toronto (100-84 Boston*)
The Toronto Raptors took care of Antoine Walker and Paul Pierce, but they still couldn't get it done themselves. Toronto shot 47% from the field but struggled yet again from the freethrow line, shooting only 54%. Their three point percentage was just as terrible, knocking down only 4 of 18 attempts. Chris Bosh led the way with 16 points and 7 boards. Ex-Celtics Kedrick Brown finished with 9 points, and Tony Battie had a season high 16 points; 14 in the first half of his second Raptor outing, while also pulling down 9 boards. The only other Raptor to score in double figures was Rafer Alston with 12.
Antoine was held to 4 of 9 shooting, Pierce was held to 7 for 23 shooting, and Gary Payton was held to 7 for 19 shooting. Pierce however, had 22 points and Payton had 21 to lead all scorers. Ricky Davis and Delonte West led the bench offensively against the Raptors, with 18 points and 13 points and combining for 11 for 16 shooting.
You are probably scratching your head if you look at the Raptors field goal percentage compared to the Celtics field goal percentage, but the Celtics managed to whalop the Raptors through rebounding, which was a problem earlier for them in the season. Walker had only 8 points, but had 10 rebounds and 6 offensively. Paul Pierce and Raef LaFrentz also had 3 offensive boards each, and rookie bigman Al Jefferson also had 2, for a total of 14 offensive boards compared to the Raptors 7. The Raptors also only had 32 rebounds overall, compared to Boston's 44.
The Raptors looked good in the first quarter though, going on a 9-4 early on, with no signs of rebounding trouble, as Chris Bosh and Tony Battie each led the Raps with 8 points and 4 rebounds. Walker was held to one rebound and LaFrentz only had 2, as the Raptors pounded the Celtics inside for a 23-19 first quarter lead.
Boston responded with a mini spurt to take the lead in the second, which was led behind Pierce's 14 points, knocking down 3 of 4 three point shots. The quarter ended with the Celtics in control, with a slim 45-43 half-time lead.
The Raptors managed to tie the game up 59-59 on a Kedrick Brown jumper, but the Raptors were suddenly smacked down with a 13-0 run with Gary Payton scoring 6 of his points during that run. Ricky Davis also finished the quarter strong with 8 points, with 6 of those points coming from 3 consecutive thunderous dunks. The Celtics whooped the Raptors in scoring (30-18) and rebounding (12-3, with 5 of those 12 rebounds coming from the offensive end).
Toronto went on their usual desperate fourth quarter run, narrowing the gap to 77-70 to bring the lead back to single digits, but that was quickly countered by a 7-0 Celtic run. Toronto yet again brought the lead down to 7, this time with a 10-3 run fueled by a DeShawn Stevenson 3 point play, but that was the closest the Raptors would get as Boston nailed 4 straight freethrows and a Ricky Davis Jumper, followed by a Delonte West layup to bring the lead back up to 91-80 with 1 and a half minutes remaining. The game ended with a Tony Allen beating the buzzer on a meaningless three-pointer as the Raptors had their 3 game winning streak snapped.
Picture of the Game
Paul Pierce played the role of the pickpocket as he also had 4 steals to go with his 22 points and 7 rebounds.

You've collected a pretty nice team through all those trades and stuff, but you seem to have problems racking up the wins. Guess they need time to glue huh?
ps. I play on All-Star too, Superstar makes me too aggressive even after I'm done playing nba live.

Heh, most of my guys are pretty young, Jalen, Donyell and Dale Davis are probably the only guys over 30 I think...... Need time to glue? Sounds pretty fimiliar to me.... *cough* New York *cough*

Raptor Monthly Report Card
A: Fantastic. This player has exceeded expectations and is doing very well.
B: Solid player. This player has done very well and has lived up to expectations or is doing slightly better than expected.
C: A little below average. This player has a slight dip in numbers, but it isn't a really big deal.
D: Below average. This player hasn't been doing what he's supposed to be doing and he's kind of crap.
F: Absolute garbage. This player has been given the minutes, but just never does anything right. It's rare for a player to get as bad as this.
Centers
R. Araujo (D+) Araujo's not starting anymore and his numbers have dipped to 9 minutes per game, 3.5 points per game and 2.7 rebounds per game, and he even has 2 DNP CDs thanks to Tony Battie. So much for being the 8th overall pick.......
D. Davis (C-) Davis has logged in a few minutes for Mitchell (11 per game to be exact), which frankly surprised us. He even started one game against Houston and even had a double-double. Pretty impressive stuff for someone who was only traded for cap room.
T. Battie (B+) Aquired from Orlando in the middle of December but has only played two games for the Raptors. He's given the Raps some relief at the 5 spot, and it shows as he had 11 rebounds in his dinosaur debut and a season-high 16 points and 9 rebounds in their loss to Boston.
Power Fowards
C. Bosh (B+) His offensive numbers have dipped a little, but its to no one's suprise that he's now leading the Raptors in scoring with 18.5 a night.
D. Marshall (C) D-Marsh's numbers have basically stayed the same from last month, except for a 0.1 decrease in points per game and a .8 increase in rebounds. He started the season strong with a 15 point 16 rebound performance against Memphis, but that went to waste as he failed to score over 7 points during the other 3 games this month.
M. Bonner(D) Bonner still isn't getting many minutes coming off the bench, as he failed to even register a point against Atlanta and Boston. Hopefully the "Red Rocket" can get back on track this month.
A. Williams(?) Hasn't even played a game yet, so we've yet to see what he can do.
P. Sow(?) Yet another player who hasn't played, Sow looks like he isn't getting many minutes soon.
Small Fowards
[J. Rose (C) Struggled a bit this month, seeing as his average dipped into 17.3 points per game, and his percentages show as he struggled from three (29%), and his field goal percentage went from a pretty good 47% to an average 43%.
K. Brown (A-) Brown has shown a lot of consistency off the bench this month, and is probably the Raptor's go to swingman off the bench. He bumped his field goal percentage even higher to 50% and his rebounding numbers are up as well (2.8 rebounds per game to 3.3 rebounds a night). Heck, he even dropped 27 points against the Memphis Grizzlies earlier this year, while knocking down a clutch shots in crunch time.
Shooting Guards
J.R. Smith (C+) J.R. scored 16 and 17 points respectively in his first two games, but struggled in his last two, only combining for 15 points and shot less than 40% in both games. His freethrow percentage is also at a terrible for a shooting guard at 54%, and his three point percentage has also dipped to 29%. His freaky athletiscm and his world of upside is always something that pleases the fans though, as the people of Toronto have already began to say that his dunks are "half-man half-amazing". Gee, whose nickname was that again?
DeShawn Stevenson (B-) DeShawn is another athletic guard that didn't get a chance to prove himself in Orlando, and he pretty much impressed us as Stevenson brings a lot of energy and enthusiasm off the bench and poured in 12 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists in his Raptor debut. Stevenson struggled against Boston shooting only 4 of 12 from field, but still poured in 9 points while even helping lead a fourth quarter charge against Boston to help the Raptors, but the Raptors obviously lost that one.
Point Guards
R. Alston (C) Nearly all of Skip to my Lou's numbers have definitely slumped down, but he still manages to find teamates with a nifty pass or two once in a while.

Unless... he's playing a 29-game season, which he is (I guess that 28 in your very first post is a mistake).
Anyway good luck from me too, you were right about my unrealistic record btw, but I will probably lose against the big Western teams.

Thank you all, even though I've only just started January...
Oh well, 4-4 ain't so bad, besides, the draft depth is supposedly "strong" anyway....

He still is less than 1/3 the way there with a 29 game season.

Toronto Raptors (4-4) vs Seattle Supersonics (8-5) Preview
The Toronto Raptors are hoping to get a good start to the new year as they pay the Seattle SuperSonics a visit in their first game of January. Toronto lost their previous game against their Atlantic division counter-parts the Boston Celtics. Chris Bosh and Tony Battie both had 16 points to pace the Raptors' offence, but they still had their 3 game winning streak snapped.
Seattle has been a pleasant surprise going 8-5 in the first few months, even though they didn't make any significant changes during the offseason and basketball critics did not see them making an impact. Ray Allen has yet again shown why he has such a feared jumpshot as he currently averaging 20.5 points per game on 39% from beyond the arc, while being third in three point field goals made and first in three point field goals attemped. Rashard Lewis, the other jumpshooting counterpart to Ray Allen, has also been a solid player for the Sonics, contributing 20.2 points per game and hauling down 10.5 rebounds per game. Lewis is also 6th in the league in three point field goals made.
"They can really hurt us on the perimeter if we're not careful," said point guard Rafer Alston. "Even though they aren't one of the best three point shooting teams statisically, we have to make sure that we have a hand in the face of every player who takes a shot.[
Other Note: Backup point guard Alvin Williams is activated and will be playing his first game of the season, while center Dale Davis is put on the injured list

J.R. Smith will not have the opportunity to take a defensive play off in this game, since Allen is probably one of the deadliest marksmen in the league. If J.R. can make Allen work on defense and possibly tire him out a little bit, than maybe that might give Allen a harder time to find his stroke on the other side of the court.

I'm sixth right now, and if the playoffs would begin today, I would face King James and the Cavs who are 7-3.
