It's EA's superb lighting effects.

Thu Mar 31, 2005 3:49 am

What lighting effect does that?

I don't see that in anyone elses dynasty or mine.

    Week 5: Can't Stop, Won't Stop
Last week: 4-0. This week: 4-0. After playing a couple of pretty weak teams in a row, the Knicks boost their record to 12-4. This weak their schedule contained 3 teams from the East and Memphis representing the West. In one of the easiest weeks of the year, the Magic, Grizzlies and Bobcats all came to the Garden and left with nothing. The Hawks were beaten in the Philips Arena.
Maurice Taylor got injured and only played 8 minutes vs. Memphis scoring 8 points. In the other games he had very different stat lines. just check the ESPN boxscores. Taylor is New York's 4th injured PF this season, after Sweetney, Rose and Thomas. Hyped rookie Trevor Ariza also finally came back from injury to play the final game of this week, make sure to check out his stats too!

    NYK at ATL
    Image Image
Left: Al Harrington with the SICK alley-oop of the Josh Smith lob. Most of the time, Josh finishes himself, but Al Harrington delivered the most impressive oop of the season so far.
Right: Jamal Crawford has been shooting horrible this season, so his performance in the Hawks game was a pleasant surprise for both him and the rest of the team.

    NYK vs MEM
[Photo] Tim Thomas, dunking past Lorenzen Wright. Thomas finished with 16 points.
[Photo] Pau Gasol arguing with the referee. This game almost went the wrong way, due to bad decisions by the refs.

    NYK vs ORL
    Image Image
Left: Rookie sensation Dwight Howard doesn't fear anyone. He torched the Knicks for 20 points, mostly on dunks.
Right: Marbury showed pure point guard skills in this game, finding teammates almost anywhere on the court at anytime, not always getting him an assist, but still putting other Knicks in scoring position.

    NYK vs CHA
    Image Image
Left: Kareem Rush showed his shooting skills. He still hasn't overcome the trade from the Lakers to the Bobcats and continues to prove himself.
Right: Ariza, fresh off a 12-day injury, delivered like never before. He surpirsed friend and foe, because even without a decent jumpshot, he scored 18 points, career high so far.

    Your questions answered
ShivaSquad: With the emergence of outstanding play by Maurice Taylor, where will the future of the Knicks franchise develop (Sweetney and Ariza)? Us Knick fans are concerned about our future and feel that Trevor and Mike deserve more playing time, and more importantly, more touches!

Herb Williams: Your right about Sweetney and Ariza being the future of the franchise, but right now, which coach in this league would keep Taylor at the side to give Sweetney more playing time? He hasn't really being playing to his full potential, though he had some quite brilliant games already.

cocobee: Is Starbury playing well for you or are you looking to get rid of some players?

Herb Williams: Right now, it wouldn't be fair to openly talk about whom we're looking to trade. In a couple of hours, the front office will come out with an official press release discussing trades with the fans.

Ugh.... Knicks are 10-4.... How unrealistic.....
It's good to see that you're winning though, but your cap space must suck..........

You want him to throw the games just to make it more realistic?

And Knicks are a better squad now than they have been. They do suck on the road though.

Heh, I was playing around. I'm happy for him that he's got such a good record.

    Knicks Looking To Trade

New York - In a press conference earlier this night, Knicks GM Isiaih Thomas expressed his plans regarding the future of his franchise.

One of the players he announced to be on the trade block was starting PG Stephon Marbury. The Coney Island native came to the Knicks through a trade last season, but he hasn't brought what many expected from him. "The stats are there, but his leadership and his quality to make other players better, I haven't seen that yet", Thomas said.

A couple months ago, Marbury claimed to be the best point guard in the whole league, better than fellow New York area point guard Jason Kidd. Thomas said this hasn't had any influence on his decision, but ever since the article, Marbury has been criticized more by both Thomas, Herb Williams and the New York press.

This is the trade Thomas has been discussing with the GM of the Orlando Magic:
    Image

For this trade to happen, the Knicks would first have to sign free agent Roger Mason Jr. The salaries in this trade match and both teams have expressed positive feelings about it. The Knicks GM said he wanted to discuss the trade with the New York fans first, since he got a lot of comments on his last few trades.

OTHER NEWS: New Orleans point guard Speedy Claxton is rumoured to be traded to the Knicks too. New York lacks a back-up point guard and Claxton said he wouldn't mind playing for the Knicks.

nba_baller_50, I got your PM.
It's Asdf, I can't help my Knicks pwn your Raptors.
Nonetheless, my cap space still sucks, these trades won't make it any worse though.

EDIT: I forgot to tell you guys, I deleted my ESPN template by accident (N)

Hmmm....... yeah why not... it might be interesting, it makes a free spot in your team. (Y) Steve and Stephon are very good but I don't know who to choose... :P Like I've said it might be interesting. :)

Fri Apr 01, 2005 7:40 am

I'd keep Marbs. He has more range and turns the ball over less.

Fri Apr 01, 2005 4:25 pm

YES, get rid of Marbury! Nice pick up! Francis will take over New York! (Y)

Fri Apr 01, 2005 6:28 pm

Marbury, NY Born & Raised (y)

Francis, Whiner (n)

I think you should try and trade away Timmy T, Kurt T and Houston...try get someone like Shareef or Stro maybe...

Fri Apr 01, 2005 10:26 pm

No way, Francis is on a continuous slump, Stephon has something lwft in him. Don't do the trade (N)

Sat Apr 02, 2005 3:26 am

Don't get rid of KT unless you're getting better in return.

AH and Penny for someone/s good would be worthwhile.

He's more than a little better shooter.

The Franchise can't shoot. He scores all his shots at the basket. Marbury can hit the J.
