Hardwood Classics Night

Jamison saves the day

Game 14

Key Player

Stephon Marbury

Marbury had a solid game, though he only scored 13 points.

The final score - 110 to 106

The Knicks believed this would be an easy one, but Boston was looking for some payback. Not only did Boston play well, New York was not playing up to their potential. Several players were not scoring like they usually do, but Tim Thomas had a strong game, and Antawn Jamison was able to save the day. In the 4th quarter, Boston had the final possession, and the score was 106-107, New York. Then hero Antawn Jamison comes up with a huge steal which leads to fouling and seals the win at 110-106.

New York bench rallied, but came up short

Game 15

Allan Houston

Houston could barely buy a basket.

The final score - 106 to 112

Despite the close score, this game was a blowout all game long. The Knicks trailed by 11 at the end of the 1st quarter, then by as much as 20 at the half. 3rd quarter was no different, as they trailed by 18. By the 4th quarter, top bench players Penny Hardaway and Antawn Jamison tried to rally their team to win the game, but they came up short. The only 2 players that had good games were Hardaway and Jamison. Stephon Marbury was in foul trouble and missed most of the game, and Tim Thomas could only shoot 38%. Mike Sweetney hasn't played as expected, though he hasn't played as expected for several games now. The Knicks believe the reason for this is that backup PF Vin Baker has not been teaching Mike Sweetney well. Penny and Antawn continue to be great energetic players coming off the bench, as some adjustments may be made on this team.

Antawn Jamison was doing it all.

Minnesota eventually started double teaming him, but they couldn't stop him.

Sam Cassell was doing great, but he got bumped hard, and began to look lost...

Trade

The Knicks trade:

Vin Baker
Evan Eschmeyer

The Bucks trade:

Shawn Kemp

It is believed that the reason Mike Sweetney has not been playing great as of late is because of the poor tutelage by PF Vin Baker. Shawn Kemp was not taken because of playing power, but because of his great deal of experience. The former Reignman was an All-Star back in his day, and his advice should greatly help Mike Sweetney in developing into a great player.

Great dynasty ...

But I have a question. In this one game vs. the Nets you wrote Kenyon Martin got a technial for hanging on the rim ... how'd you do that? As far as I know technical fouls are not implemented ...

I made it up. I've seen him play before and he hangs on the rim alot, so I figured he'd get a T in my dynasty. They ran out of timeouts (as usual), so I just made them call a timeout.

Great, great dynasty, I've been reading it for a while now and I love it.
Nice to see how Sweetney is getting a chance.
I hope you will continu with this dynasty.
Great screenshots too. Keep it up.
