Yeah, by "a few", I meant 60. Here it is:

2012 NBA Draft

1. NYK: Tristan King- 6'5 195 SF/SG from College of Charleston- great scorer, lightning quick, could play the point-forward position, constant triple-double threat. (Comparison: Andre' Iguodala)

2. IND: Baha Smart- 6'3 190 SG/PG from Oakland- big-time scorer, averaged 28ppg for two years in college, will make a great backcourt duo with CJ Scot. (Comparison: Jamal Crawford)

3. SAS: Dan Janson- 6'11 223 SF/PF from Kentucky- lethal from mid-range, possesses great size for a 3 or a 4. Can take over for Tim Duncan when he retires. (Comparison: Dirk Nowitzki)

4. MEM: Crispin Robinson- 6'3 210 PG/SG from Princeton- excellent ball-handler, decent defender, but has almost no range on jumnp shot. (Comparison: Rajon Rondo)

5. TOR: Crispin Hines- 6'6 173 SG/SF from Boise State- best scorer in the draft, amazing quickness, excellent at stealing, and a surprising shot-blocker. Very undersized. (Comparison: Monta Ellis)

6. MIN: Christopher Henderson- 6'9 240 PF/SF from Alabama- lockdown defender, very versatile, great mid-range shooter. Has potential to play a point-forward role if he can reduce turnovers. (Comparison: Boris Diaw)

7. MIL: Donald Andrews- 6'1 183 SG/PG from Centenary- quickest player in the draft, excellent passer, decent shooter, but mediocre defender. (Comparison: DJ Augustin)

8. LAC: Dave Griffin- 6'7 236 PF/SF from Marquette- great scorer, rebounder, and defender, but undersized. Probably the steal of the draft. (Comparison: Gerald Wallace)

9. SAC: Maxwell Martin- 6'3 235 SG from Notre Dame- all-around offensive player, great mid-range jumpshot, very strong and athletic, but is overweight for a 6'3 guard. Bad locker room prescence. (Comparison: JR Smith)

10. HOU: Ron Kidd- 6'10 240 SF/PF from Texas- lights out 3-point shooter, with top-notch athleticism, and versatility and All-Star potential. (Comparison: Lamar Odom)

11. CLE: Darren Howard- 6'2 181 PG/SG from Butler - solid all-around point guard, but occasionally struggles with jumper. (Comparison: Jerryd Bayless)

12. WAS: Steve Houston- 6'10 277 C/PF from Louisville- outstanding inside scorer, excellent rebounder, but terrible defender. Has chronic knee problems. (Comparison: Greg Oden)

13. NJN: Devon Fielden- 6'6 204 SF/SG from Tulane- exciting dunker, very fast, and amazing shotblocker for a swingman. Lots of potential. (Comparison: Gerald Henderson)

14. ATL: Marko Jenjic'- 6'8 190 SF/PF from Wisconsin- solid shooter and score, great ball handler, but doesn't get steals or defend much on the perimeter. (Comparison: Chase Budinger)

15. UTA: Kris Adams- 6'5 190 SG/SF from Texas- excellent shooter from outside, great passer and gets a lot of steals, but is a complete non-factor down low, and doesn't do much playmaking. (Comparison: Jamal Crawford)

16. DET: Gary Tyler- 6'8 196 SF/PF from Memphis- highflier, decent rebounder, but frame is too wiry to play the 4. (Comparison: Brandan Wright)

17. BOS: Tomaki Nzingha- 5'11 157 PG/SG from South Africa- excellent ball-handler and jump shooter, but no inside game whatsoever. (Comparison: Earl Boykins)

18. NCD: Alexander Henderson- 6'7 215 SG/SF from Alabama- 6th pick Chris Henderson's brother, excellent potential as a scorer and defender. Struggles with free throws and his athleticism. (Comparison: Stephen Jackson)

19. NOH: Jared Lindsey- 6'7 197 SG/SF from St. John's- exceptional defender, decent scorer, but nothing else. (Comparison: Tony Allen)

20. GSW: Aaron Adams- 7'0 265 C/PF from University of Las Vegas- huge dunker, solid defensive player, and great rebounder, perfect fit for the Warriors. (Comparison: Al Horford)

21. POR: Bryan Price- 6'9 230 SF/SG from Vanderbilt- creative, athletic offensive player with surprising hops, clueless on defense. (Comparison: Shannon Brown)

22. PHI: Jeremiah Jefferson- 6'8 200 SG/SF from Davidson- great jump shooter, excels at driving to the hoop, needs work on his skinny frame. (Comparison: Nic Batum)

23. DEN: Roderigo Berlatelli- 7'1 230 C/PF from Italy- imposing big man on offense with nice range, but a wimpy defender. (Comparison: Andrea Bargnani)

24. ORL: Avery Orr- 6'6 208 PG/SG from Maryland- typical point guard, but bigger, has major problems with injuries and his mid-to-long range jump shots. (Comparison: Shaun Livingston)

25. CHA: Thomas Thurman- 6'8 203 SF/PF from Central Michigan- versatile player, strong defender with some range on jump shot. (Comparison: D.J. White)

26. PHX: Daniel Alexander- 6'4 180 PG/SG from Oklahoma- great athletic, scoring point guard, but doesn't shoot threes or free throws well at all, and is a non-factor on defense. (Comparison: Jeff Teague)

27. CHI: Joachim Keillerroden- 6'11 230 PF/C from Appalachian State- good rebounder, intimidating shot-blocker and decent scorer. (Comparison: Roy Hibbert)

28. DAL: Quentin Rucker- 6'11 240 C/PF from Arizona State- extremely good defender, but a big liability on offense. (Comparison: Joel Anthony)

29. LAL: Sven Ericksson- 6'9 230 PF/SF from Sweden- jack of all trades, master of none. 29 years old. (Comparison: Dante Cunningham)

30. OKC: Gary O'Neal- 6'8 215 SF/SG from Manhattan- good passer for a forward, shoots well from outside. Doesn't excel at any one thing, but does a little of everything. (Comparison: Jeff Green)

31. MIA: Cream Lander- 6'10 251 PF/C from Memphis- a total Blake Griffin wanna-be, excellent dunker and extremely agile for a big man, but he struggles in the post at times, and he can't shoot. (Comparison: Jamario Moon)

--

32. MEM: Alex Phillips- 6'11 240 PF/C from Texas Southern- super-strong big man with potential as an elite rebounder, complete liability on offense and in transition. (Comparison: Desagana Diop)

33. TOR: Samuel Saxon- 6'9 230 SF/PF from Toledo- tough player with nice range, rattles the rim, and can be a factor on defense, as long as his knees can stay healthy. (Comparison: Vince Carter)

34. NYK: Collin Dent- 6'7 228 SG/SF from Davidson- sharpshooter, okay all-around player, but very unathletic for a swingman. (Comparison: Coby Karl)

38. MIL: Robby Edwards- 7'2 312 C/PF from University of Southern California- enormous prescence, with nice touch around the basket, but terrible in transition. (Comparison: Slavko Vranes)

39. LAC: Ronny McElwrath- 6'3 220 SG/PG from Colgate- great shooter with quick feet, but an awful ball-handler and defender. (Comparison: Jordan Farmar)

44. NJN: Marcus Marion- 6'1 175 PG/SG from Boise State- awesome handles, lockdown defender, but but regularly airballs 18-foot jumpers. (Comparison: TJ Ford)

49. NCD: Eric Rivers- 5'6 170 PG from Western Carolina- superior ball-handler, athletic, energetic, but size limits his productivity. (Comparison: JJ Barea)

Total coincidence.

Another coincidence is that the Clips drafted another solid-rebounding power forward named Griffin.

Funny, because in your prediction, you have him headed to NJN.
Icefox wrote:PHX not bad!
PHX is a very good team. Amar'e Stoudemire came back and is beasting it up, J-Rich is still there scoring 25ppg, Grant Hill is hanging in there (may or may not retire), Steve Nash averaged over 20/10 last season (may or may not retire), so you'll be playing behind a solid team regardless.
Cruzerr wrote:Who was the highest pick of the NLSCers?

It's you. It was fairly random. You were the first NLSCer to be drafted, Cream Lander (lol) was picked last of the NLSCers at #31, by Miami.
Valdis wrote:So SAS drafted next Dirk?

Possibly, he's a damn good player, solid scorer, solid rebounder, and is a 6'11 SF. Sounds like Dirk, doesn't it?
osaki wrote:27. CHI: Joachim Keillerhoden- 6'11 230 PF/C ?
Hmmm... coincidence... two Joa(ch/k)im-named centers for the Bulls? lol that's funny, didn't realize that... Stupid Live name generator. Also picks 4 and 5 were both named Crispin, and the Clips have a second PF named Griffin.

I'll go another few days on this contest, because I have to find all of these guys again, and that might take some time. Keep those predictions coming.

Two of Five NCD Free Agents Re-Sign

The Domination re-signed Acie Law to a 1-year $2.00M contract and re-signed Walter Herrmann to a 1-year $3.32M contract. In a press conference, Zee Otoo said, "These guys have shown a lot of improvement in North Carolina, becoming regular rotation players, even starters, in Walter's case. Walter just turned 33 this week, but he's shown that he has some left in him. I hope to keep him in my rotation for years to come until he retires. I've shown I'm not afraid to make a trade, but Walter is one of the few guys that I will not trade. It makes a big difference, having a 6'9 combo forward that can shoot as well as Walter can. Of course, we're starting to get a similar player in Jared Dudley on an All-Star level, but having those two playing together makes a huge difference and a nightmare for opposing teams."

"As for Acie Law, I know he didn't play many great games last season, but he's perfectly happy playing under our All-Star point guard, Corey Harrington. He's even helping Corey with his outside shooting and his free-throws. He's come a long way in a short time, and I think he's a near-starting-caliber player on many squads in this league. As a backup, he's earned himself a new contract."

Three players were not re-signed. Gerald Henderson left, seeking a starting job elsewhere, while Patrick Patterson was frustrated with his spot in the rotation, barely playing five minutes in a game.

Former star center Ben Wallace retired quietly. He finished his illustrious career with averages of 5.9 points per game, 9.9 rebounds, 2.0 blocks, 1.3 steals, and 0.95 turnovers per game after playing 997 games.

In a way, I did. There's a long story behind that, which I didn't really feel like telling before.
I had actually done the draft a couple weeks ago, then more people joined the draft, so I made their players and inserted them approximately when they should have been drafted due to their ratings and team's needs. So as I did that, the Bulls' rookie's last name got erased. I sort of remembered what the name was, but not completely: I remember it was long, German-sounding, started with a K, so I kind of made up a name based on that, and I came up with Keillerroden. I had absolutely no idea, despite two years of taking German in high school, that it approximately translated to (according to you,) "prairie oysters". (We never learned the words for prairie or Oyster.) If it really translates to that, then that's hilarious!
