Yeah.. thus the much higher scores in the final quarter.
Actually, I haven't done much Live recently cause I've been watching Ouran High School Host Club, and today is the last day before classes, so I'll probably be running around going to friends' places.
Jao, whats the deal with controllers? Want to give it a try again when/if you swing by Southwest.

Boston’s Amazing Comeback Shocks Pistons’ Fans

Click for the full boxscore!
Rasheed Wallace picked up his 5th foul and went to the bench as the Pistons slowly lost their lead. The Celtics began the quarter down 12, but with each minute Boston slowly crawled back. The game heated up when former Celtics guard Tony Allen ran head-first into his former teammate, with Perkins drawing the offensive foul.
On consecutive possessions, Rudy Gay put down a huge left-handed dunk on Antoino McDyess and Dale Davis, and then Kedrick Perkins stuffed Allen on defense, which let Gay fly in again for another huge dunk. At exactly the 5 minute mark, Boston was down only 102 – 101. The Pistons seemed to gain momentum back when Tayshaun Prince raced back down on defense to block a Paul Pierce fast break layup, but that didn’t last long. The next possession, Pierce took it again to Prince, going under Prince’s arm for a layup.
With the game tied at 107 and the ball in Boston’s hands, Dale Davis’ inbounds pass was deflected by Perkins, which led to Richard Hamilton picking it up from the ground, and passed it to Delonte West, who drained the 2 to give the Celtics their first lead. From here, Boston took charge. Eddie Jones drained a 3 with Davis’ hand right in his face, and even Brian Scalabrine had his moments, with a left-handed dunk on Davis and McDyess.
Boston’s Kedrick Perkins was the POTG with an double-double of 14 points and 13 rebounds. Rudy Gay again came off the bench to score 16 points. Former Celtics Sebastian Telfair score 21 points against his old team while Tony Allen had 17 points and Theo Ratliff with 3.

nice win dude

Great win, but you should alter the sliders. While it is unrealistic for a game to have a shorter 4th quarter, it is more unrealistic to score 50 points on average in the final quarter. Adjust your sliders or drop it to around 8 minutes. Other than that, looking great! The real Celtics are total garbage, (My prediction at the beginning of the year was for them to have worst record. I might be right!) but your Celtics are contenders without being unrealistic!

Well, these games were played back in November when I didn't adjust anything, thus the unrealistic scores. As for the Celtics being ridiclious good as of now... its still pretty early in the season.

Though thanks foro teh comment, I've been trying to keep the scores low, but the computer loves to fast break, even with a slow game pace and whatnot.

Burry Scores 38 Points in 10 Point Loss to Boston

Click for the full boxscore!
Once the Celtics get lead headed into the last quarter, they usually manage to hold on, and if the Celtics are down going into the last quarter, they’ll usually find some way to crawl back to at least make a game out of it. Right away Boston took control again when Richard Hamilton took a charge on Joe Johnson just 12 seconds into the game, and then proceeded to hit a 3 pointer on the ensuing possession.
Zaza Pachulia picked up his 5th foul with about 10 minutes left in the game, causing him to be taken out. Josh Smith tired to bring the entire game back by himself, including a superb reverse dunk. Things didn’t get much better when Marvin Williams fouled out guarding Richard Hamilton. Finally rookie Conrad Burry hit several nice jumpers and layups to give the momentum to the home team, but the combination of Paul Pierce and Richard Hamilton was just too strong. As a result of the strong backcourt of Boston, the Celtics pulled out a tough win on the road, 108 – 98.
Richard Hamilton was the POTG with 29 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 assists. Kedrick Perkins had 16 points and 10 rebounds before fouling out, and Al Jefferson led all players with 16 rebounds. Burry led all players with a game high 38 points to go along with 7 rebounds and 8 assists.

I'm seeing Oden in the Hawks future
Fri Feb 09, 2007 4:30 pm
Your Hawks are equal to like the Celtics of real life... god its so painful to watch them. I think they could have easily won at least 3/4 of their games that they lost during their 16 game losing streak if just Paul Pierce was back. C's are definately going to get one of the top 3 picks if they continue at this rate; I suppose thats why Danny Ainge recently came back from a trip to China to personally scout Chinese big man and potential lottery pick Yi Jianlian.
Oh and the lack of updates? A rundown of my daily schedule is like this: Class, Practice, Eat, Sleep, Homework, Sleep. Fun isn't it?

I'll try to get something up tonight.

Sacramento Scores 47 In Final Quarter to Squeak Out Win On The Road

Click for the full boxscore!
The Celtics were outscored by 16 points in the final quarter, and this was the main reason for their loss tonight. Mike Bibby’s 19 fourth quarter points were the main reason for this victory. With several acrobatic layups he drew the Kings within single digits, and then the Kings took the lead on a stolen inbounds pass by Ron Artest.
The game was closed all the way until the end of the game. Boston managed to push their lead to 102 – 99, but then Ron Artest nailed another three over Pierce, tying the game again. Boston’s fans were extremely mad when Kevin Martin took off for a dunk and plowed into Pierce. Instead of getting the charge, Pierce went away in pain and with a blocking foul. Bibby capped the game off by dishing a behind the back pass to Brad Miller, who finished with a dunk.
Bibby was named the Player of the Game with 29 points, 7 rebounds, and 7 assists. On an interesting note, every player in the starting lineup on both teams scored in double-digits. Kedrick Perkins and Al Jefferson both had 14 points while Perkins had 11 rebounds to Jefferson’s 10. As for the Kings, Abdur-Rahim had a double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds.

Haha, yeah well I dunno, I feel like an old timer compared to the other dynasties that have been springing up.
I personally dont mind too much, but it does get a little annoying when you put your own time into something like this and nobody shows any response. I'll try to keep going, thanks Ben and Marquis.

Arenas Sinks Celtics By Hitting 3 With 2.4 Seconds Left

Click for the full boxscore!
Gilbert Arenas and the Washington Wizards went into the final quarter up 72 – 66 on the visiting Celtics, but saw that lead vanish within just 3 minutes due to great offensive play by Delonte West and the defensive presence of Al Jefferson. Boston went on a 13 – 0 run before Washington finally ended it.
Delonte West picked up his 5th foul however at the 4 minute mark, and that allowed the Wizards to storm back. Gilbert Arenas dunked the ball on Jefferson, then drove by Perkins with a beautiful behind the back dribble leading to a layup. Butler and Jamison also contributed, both dunking over Richard Hamilton.
With just 10.4 seconds left and the Wizards up 108 – 107, Arenas hit two free throws to put the Wizards up by 2. Boston called timeout and the play designed for Hamilton. Hamilton proceeded to drain the three despite touch defensive pressure by Butler. Washington in turn called time out, and Arenas took the inbounds pass. With Eddie Jones right in front of him, Arenas calmly pulled up for the three, then instantly turned around and walked to the other side of the court, knowing that it would go in. Boston’s desperation three by Paul Pierce was off the front of the rim.
To no one’s surprise, Arenas was named the JordanTM Player of the Game with 39 points, 7 rebounds, 9 assist, and 5 steals; he did also have a game high 7 turnovers. Caron Butler also scored 32 points and added 11 rebounds. Every Wizards starter with the exception of Arenas had double-digit rebounds, the highest being Jamison’s 19. For Boston, Perkins and Jefferson had double-doubles while Hamilton led the team in scoring with 26.

Wizards had a lot of rebounds, 4 starters had more than 10. Tough loss man, and you should download some patches I think
Tue Feb 13, 2007 9:00 am
Can't expect anything else from Arenas. Double team, double team, double team him next time.
Yeah, you really need to update your patches ever since the laptop death. Your team is pushin hard, be careful because they could lose that steam later in the season. Since your in the East, you could probably get in the playoffs with only 10 more wins. Prioritize, and up my players ratings while your at it.

Actually man, these games are still from my laptop. I played about 10 or 15 games ahead of time before my laptop died, so everything so far has been stuff from my laptop. I think like in 3 or 4 more recaps, the games will be from my new computer. However the first several games on the new computer were with old lighting and I forgot to add alphas to the dragon beta jerseys, therefore there are some strange looking graphics. Bare with me on this one, everything should be pretty and whatnot soon.
And I'll be switching to 4 images per recap from now on.
dragon@4Q wrote:you like losing in the dying seconds don't you
Boo Ben. I guess the real life Celtics are having an affect on the Celtics here.
Also guys, I've been trying to trade myself onto the Celtics, any ideas who I should put in to get myself? I really don't feel like dbfing anything, but I do want to see myself get more minutes, and being on the Warriors certainly isnt doing anything for me. Any suggestions?
Tue Feb 13, 2007 10:28 pm
damn, looks like my guy is still stinking it up....ahh well, shite happens....pretty solid record there, almost a mirror reflection of the Celtics' current record, if you win another 10 or so straight that is
